We rented out one of the two ice rinks they have for a school event. They made the process easy. There wasn't much supervision, but most of us are adults and the kids who did come were with their parents. Their prices were better than other rinks for entire rink rentals. There is also a little arcade area for kids. The items in the crane games were lacking and it was $1. The place itself is older and could use some updating but things get so wet around the ice rinks that anything newer would get ruined too. The concession stand had a good variety of drinks and snacks/food for a reasonable price. Drinks ranged from Monster energy drinks to chocolate milk; hot chocolate to frozen slushies.

Moylan Iceplex is well known to locals but quite a few families travel from other states to take ice skating lessons or the hockey programs. Our family highly recommends the Moylan Iceplex for lessons or free skating (they rent skates if you don't already have your own)

We come here weekly for the adult hockey league, it has two large areas for seating and two nice, well kept ice rinks!

Downtown

Just an awesome ice-skating rink/loop and venue for everybody! Skate rentals available on site…read more Plenty of grab bars for anyone that's feeling a little insecure. This year-round facility offers ice-skating in winter months and rollerskating in nicer weather. Plenty of places to people watch. Located next to the ConAgra campus and near the old market allows for plenty of restaurant food options before and/or after a little fresh air. Metered street (free on Sundays and holidays) and nearby garage parking is available. Recommend this venue for a little bit of outdoor fun! Open daily after 11 AM, check website for any updates.

I look forward to this event every year!…read more If you don't know this is a month long charity event held downtown. It supports the food banks and money raised from the rink goes to feed hungry mouths. Each ticket is $5 per person even if you bring your own skates. They do accept credit cards and you are encouraged to bring shelf stable items for donations that you put in this big blue bins. Kids under 5 are free. There is a very over priced "cafe" that I've never gotten anything at; a tiny glass of swiss miss cocoa is $2.00. A small hot dog is like $5.00 but I think it comes with chips(?) There are a couple big red tents set up where you can sit and hang out if skating isn't your thing and sometimes they have performances. The photos I uploaded were from one of them. Some of them I think are going to the Olympics they were really good! The cutest one was a who and the Grinch. So adorable!! The rink itself is okay, I wish it was bigger to be honest with you but you do with what you have. I also wish they'd smooth it out more often because after awhile it gets very liquidy and grooved. Makes skating kinda scary if you're like me and very uncoordinated. Be prepared to sign a waiver also, if you hurt yourself don't plan on suing ConAgra or anyone else at this place. If you bring a child you must sign a waiver for them and if you bring someone else's child THEIR parent or legal guardian must sign it and they bring it to the rink. You are not allowed to do it for them. You can download and print the waivers off the website. Again please keep in mind this is a holiday event and for 2014 the hours were: Friday, December 12 through Sunday, January 4, 2015 Sunday - Thursday: 1 - 10 pm Friday & Saturday: 1 pm - midnight Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve: 1 - 5 pm Closed Christmas & New Year's Day To wrap it up, yes it's super fun and I think everyone should at least TRY to ice skate once in their lives. I hug the wall the whole time like a baby but I still have fun doing it.

2 Stars - Great facility and knowledgeable staff, but stick-and-puck experience is frustrating…read more Grover Ice is a really nice rink in many ways. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, which is a huge plus, especially if you're involved in hockey regularly. The facility itself is well designed, and the seating setup is much better than some other local rinks. You can go upstairs and watch the ice from above, which is actually very comfortable and makes it easy to follow what's happening without freezing like you sometimes do at other rinks. They also have food available and even serve alcohol, which adds to the overall experience for parents or spectators. The locker rooms are in much better condition than other local rinks as well. Unfortunately, the biggest issue is their stick-and-puck sessions. They allow coaches to come in and run drills with kids, which essentially takes up half the ice. On top of that, teams sometimes show up and start practicing, which ends up taking over another portion of the rink. They will place an extra net in the middle, but realistically it becomes very difficult to find space to just skate and work on your own skills. Considering what you pay for ice time, it's frustrating when the session turns into a partial team practice instead of open ice. Even more disappointing is that when this concern has been brought up, it doesn't seem like management is particularly interested in addressing it. Grover Ice has a lot going for it as a facility, but the way stick-and-puck is managed makes it hard to justify going if you're hoping for a fair chance to actually skate and practice.

We have a very small number of ice rinks in/around the metro, this one in particular is great…read morebecause you can get a drink and decent snacks! I also love that they have indoor seats, instead of having seats close to the ice. Overall, my favorite rink because of the seating and food/drinks!!
