There was no tee…read moretimes available, but the club staff went out of their way to introduce me to the senior mens group. Within a minute they invited me to join them for my first round at IHGC. The golf course is absolutely beautiful and a good test of skill. The regulars were very friendly and provided key tips when needed to navigate this great layout. All in all a perfect day on the links with a special group of golfers... and a staff that went the extra mile. Wish I lived nearby, but I'll be back soon!

The golfing experience here is so unique to other courses in the area. Plus, if you like cliff type tee boxes then you will love #9 and #16. What I loved is that there aren't two holes that are alike and the front nine is different from the back nine.

The new carts were fast and "executive" like compared to other courses. No two holes were alike and several were challenging as far as length and elevation. It was very hard to figure out what amenities were available in the cabin theough the web site, which made it kind of difficult to know what to bring with regards to cooking supplies and linens. I appreciated the cooking utensils, but I would have liked some form of skillet or griddle. We made do, but it was kind of oddfeying eggs in a pot. I was able to navigate the park without much trouble, but some of my family had a hard time finding the cabin, so maybe the signage could be more clear.

The greens were in excellent shape--smooth, fast, and clearly well-maintained. The course overall was in great condition, with clean fairways and nicely manicured surroundings. You can tell the staff puts a lot of pride into keeping the place looking and playing great. We played the Hammerhead and Mako nines, and both offered a fun and unique layout with some great hole variety. It's pretty cool that Tiburon has 27 holes, which gives players some variety and keeps things interesting if you return for another round. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which always makes the day better. The pro shop really stood out to me--they had a surprisingly wide selection of merchandise, with sizes ranging from XS all the way up to 3X. The GPS-equipped carts were a nice touch, although ours seemed a little off and probably just needed a quick recalibration. Not a big deal, but something worth mentioning for future rounds. Overall, Tiburon is definitely worth checking out if you're in the Omaha area. Great conditions, friendly service, and a course that offers both challenge and fun.
