There is a clearly marked building where you can rent skates. The whole area is quite expansive with the outer ribbon to skate and 2 big round areas at each end. There is still plenty of things to fall against so if you are not good bring pads! There was also quite a few of inline skaters but most everyone was friendly. Elsewhere around the skating place there is tons of green space room to get away and relax.

I laced up those beauties and skated like a pro--no falls, no wobbles, just pure smooth moves...for a solid two hours. Then I took a break to chat by the wall, and wouldn't you know it, that's when gravity reminded me who's boss. Down I went, wrist first. Yep, broken wrist and surgery two days later. But honestly? Totally worth it. The music was blasting, the vibes were immaculate, and for a couple of hours, I was living my best retro dream. Once this wrist heals and I get myself a brace, you better believe I'll be back rolling and rocking those skates. Skate City's Retro Night = a blast. Just maybe bring some wrist guards... or maybe just don't stop to chat!

Plenty of ways to get in and it was nice a quick. We took some time to walk around and check everything out from different spots and there were very few locations that wouldn't be good to sit at! It was nice that they had a lot of local vendors and options instead of just name brand big brands for food and drinks too!

2 Stars - Great facility and knowledgeable staff, but stick-and-puck experience is frustrating…read more Grover Ice is a really nice rink in many ways. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, which is a huge plus, especially if you're involved in hockey regularly. The facility itself is well designed, and the seating setup is much better than some other local rinks. You can go upstairs and watch the ice from above, which is actually very comfortable and makes it easy to follow what's happening without freezing like you sometimes do at other rinks. They also have food available and even serve alcohol, which adds to the overall experience for parents or spectators. The locker rooms are in much better condition than other local rinks as well. Unfortunately, the biggest issue is their stick-and-puck sessions. They allow coaches to come in and run drills with kids, which essentially takes up half the ice. On top of that, teams sometimes show up and start practicing, which ends up taking over another portion of the rink. They will place an extra net in the middle, but realistically it becomes very difficult to find space to just skate and work on your own skills. Considering what you pay for ice time, it's frustrating when the session turns into a partial team practice instead of open ice. Even more disappointing is that when this concern has been brought up, it doesn't seem like management is particularly interested in addressing it. Grover Ice has a lot going for it as a facility, but the way stick-and-puck is managed makes it hard to justify going if you're hoping for a fair chance to actually skate and practice.

4 Stars - Great facility, but scheduling and supervision need improvement…read moreThe Moylan Iceplex is a really nice facility overall. Having two rinks makes it easy for them to host a wide variety of activities, and there's almost always something going on. Between public skating, club hockey, adult ("old man") leagues, stick-and-puck sessions, and other events, it's a very active place for the hockey community. The staff have always been friendly in my experience, which makes a big difference. The facility itself is well set up, with places to eat and even a small arcade area, which is great if you're bringing kids or family members who aren't skating. Prices for skating sessions and activities are also pretty reasonable compared to many rinks. My main frustration is the scheduling. The posted schedules sometimes change without notice, which can be really frustrating when you drive there expecting ice time and find out it was changed or canceled. The other concern is supervision. During public skating especially, there often appears to be little or no monitoring on the ice. With a lot of kids skating at once, things can get chaotic and occasionally dangerous. Overall it's a great facility with a lot going for it, but better schedule management and more active supervision would make a big difference.

Many, many young kids were unable to skate because the "walkers" or blue plastic supports designed to aid beginners were being used as toys by older youth who clearly didn't need them. As soon as the Zamboni was able to clear the ice, older youth shaved the ice and dirtied it for no reason. But with no guard - who would stop them. It was a freaking free for all - and I paid to be a part of it. that's crap. I wish I'd asked for my money back.

The seats are uncomfortable unless you bring something else to sit on. I also like that you can sit inside so you're not freezing, that's another plus. The seats inside are only in one corner though so being able to see the game the whole time can be hard, keep that in mind. They don't sell any alcohol which isn't the end of the world but would make it better if they did. The people who work there are nice and keep it reasonably clean.

Great entertainment watching the game and all the things done in between plays and intermission. They really get the crowd involved here! Best of all...Lincoln won! I recommend getting seats around center ice and about 3/4 of the way up in the stands. Regardless of where you sit, you shouldn't have any trouble tracking the puck. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. Concessions are a bit basic. Hot dogs, chicken tenders, nachos, etc... Beer and spirits are available too. Nothing crazy, but they'll get the job done. I recommend purchasing tickets before the match through the Lincoln Stars website. The venue does have a couple of small box office booths however a line will quickly form and back up depending on the size of the crowd. You'll have to pay a couple of extra dollars buying online however I think it's worth it.
