We called Moyers for a water leak into the basement. We had done the ceiling demo before they arrived to save time. After arrival, huge holes were put into our baseboard by the team for drying and the floor was ripped up. We had asked to spare the other side of the room floor and some of the boards were broken making it hard to match and blend. I think little care was taken and more demo done than needed. There was no paperwork discussing prices before work was completed. After the 3 days of commercial fans to dry I requested they get their equipment and give an invoice (800$!). We had to followup multiple times for the invoice and for them to floor match. I was not willing to go forward since things were broken regardless of request and I was worried the bills for repair would be substantial. read more

Moyers was the only people that showed after our fire last June. They walked us through the process and treated us like close friends. They put us at ease and were with us through every step of the way. Whenever insurance gave us resistance they fought along side us to get us what we needed. They were candid of costs and educated us on change orders needed. They chose trustworthy subcontractors and were the in between and insured quality work. The communicated well and were understanding. Without them I don't know how I would have survived the last year waiting on our home to be rebuilt. read more

I used Moyers to clean up, dry out and repair our house after a water pipe burst. Both parts of the project were done exceptionally well. The drying out and then the final repairs were done quickly and the quality of work was fantastic. They were efficient, communicated well and frankly went above and beyond. I needed a simple deck replaced. not many corn or steps. they damaged my driveway and a concrete walkway, the deck isn't level, the corners aren't at a 90 degre angle. I indicated numerous times I wanted the deck at the level of the old deck. it's too high and the storm door rubs. (they told me it needs to be ADA compliant. this is a private home. if 2-3 inches lower would be an issue then the height of the deck the way they insisted on building is creating tripping hazards on the other side. they used damaged and crooked boards. some deck boards aren't nailed down. some nails aren't attached to anything, some nails split the boards so in a couple of years I will replace boards already. .... I have an almost endless list including support posts that aren't 90 degrees (clearly visible to the naked eye). now after over two years they want money up front for them to come back to fix their mistakes. read more

After our sump pump failed we contacted Moyer's based on a recommendation from our insurance company. The first crew was out within a few hours, by that time there was no standing water in the basement, but wet carpet and drywall. The promptly removed the carpet, pad and cut about 12" of drywall out around the perimeter of the basement. No complaints, in fact at this point I would have rated them 5 starts. After 3 days of fans in our basement it was dried out. Now the bill over $7,000! and no repairs done yet. We contracted the Moyer's to do the repairs. Originally told it would be about 4 weeks before they could even give me a date when they would be able to complete the repairs. 4 weeks later still not able to give me a date. Only needed a date, wasn't pushing to have it done but needed to schedule other work that couldn't be done until they were done. After several calls they finally fit us into the schedule. Then they subcontracted the work out. Having known that I would never have used the. The work performed by the sub was sloppy, gaps in the corners of the drywall, missing drywall around the electrical outlets, when the covers were put back on there were holes, baseboard corners had very large gaps that no wood filler could fill up. Contacted Moyers, sent photos of the sloppy work and requested one of their employees come out to inspect the work. No response. I have waited 3 weeks before posting this review to give them time to respond. Never, Ever would I recommend them. read more

Repaired water damage to ceilings and a wall. Wall hole was done well. Can't even see that work was done. Repair seams for ceilings showed after painting. Called to have work redone. Workers left dust all over one room's furniture and seams still showed. I decided to sand and paint ceilings after their 2 visits instead of trying to get them to do it right. I contracted Moyers Services to repair my home after a tree fell on it in March 2018. They did remove the tree and patch the roof in a few days. After repeated calls Moyers finally repaired the roof in July. I have repeatedly called and e mailed them to get them to finish the work but Moyers will not return my calls or responded to my e mail. I did get a response from them once in October after I threatened to sue them, they said they would complete the work by the end of October. It's now mid November and I can they will not return my phone calls or responded to an e mail. The work they did was not very good the roof leaks in a heavy rain. They also left nails in the driveway broke lamps in the house. Moyers made no offer to fix the leak or to pay for the damage they caused. I made a serious mistake hiring Moyers for this job, I will never hire then again or recommend to anyone. read more

They were contacted by my insurance company in Feb 2018 for water damage caused by a skylight. Quickly came out with fans to dry the walls, have no complaint about that. Now comes the good part, they were contracted to do the work, well that went a whole lot slower and the work they did was to say the least, not nearly as well as bring out fans. First in my opinion the only reason the work was finished six months later was they were not paid by the insurance company as the work completion form was not signed, let me see the work was not completed. Now fast forward a year later, same exact leak, it took them 3 weeks to come out, when contacted 3 weeks later, the guy was on vacation for 2 weeks, when the insurance company contacted them a few weeks later, guy went on vacation again (somewhere there is someone who takes a lot of vacation especially when someone is looking for work completion). Anyway according to the insurance adjuster Moyer's is trying to say the problem is not their fault, amazing how you can have the exact same problem in the exact same place and its not their fault, had they called the problem correctly in the first place it might not happened again, now when called on it, they deny, deny deny. If you deal with them DEAL AT YOUR OWN RISK. They are very unreliable. They go on vacation a lot especially when you are looking to why something has not been completed. read more

My wife and I came home from a nice night out to find 6" of water in my basement. As i pumped it out and looked around i had no idea where to start in the cleanup etc.. hearing of Moyers services but never using them i gave them a try. I spoke with the phone rep and within 10 mins I had a call from a team leader asking further questions. 30-40 mins later the first person arrived and more guys kept coming. I was worried that I wasnt covered after talking to my agent. So I had to tell the rep from Moyers and worried they would pack up and leave and they didnt they were awesome. Said we will do X to start drying things etc and if its covered we can do everything 100% the right way. But if it's not covered we can work with you and your budget. I was so impressed with that.from there we were covered and the job they did was great. They treated my family and home with respect. Mike Sigafous embarrassed by screaming and yelling obscenities at me in the middle of my street in Whitehall. about us paying Mouer's while contesting their service with the only leverage we had...not paying them till they made it right. I was also going through a Cancer treatment to add to the anxiety of having your house destroyed. I cannot even believe that this company is even in business, and I wish I could give them negative stars!!!! We had a heater puff back (soot puffs out from every vent and ends up EVERYWHERE) right after Christmas 2019. The first man we met with came right out and assessed the damage and said they would be in touch right away and his crew would literally wipe EVERYTHING in our home down professionally. Over 2 weeks later l finally get the call from the actual guy in charge of the cleaning who wanted to take a look at the house himself, this was a Friday. He came into my house and told me it "wasn't that bad" and if we wanted he could skip sealing the basement floors (keep in mind the basement is where the heater is and where the most soot was) and we could keep the insurance money!! Now I had already cleaned a lot of the surfaces because like I said this was over 2 weeks later! I have a 4 year old was I supposed to leave the soot there until they came 3 weeks later? Anyway the foreman for the cleaning was Tyler and I have never experienced anyone so unprofessional, inexperienced and a downright LIAR!!! He tells me they will start day 1 one the 2nd floor and each floor would probably take a day ( 3 floors including basement), then day 4 they would do the shampooing of carpets. He says he will call me later that Friday and let me know when they can start, but it probably wouldn't be until Wednesday or Thursday of the following week...On Monday he calls and says he forgot to let me know but they can start tomorrow. Ok so Tuesday they were left a key outside my house and when I get home it literally looks like NOTHING was done. My stepson drove by the house at 1:45 and there were men standing around outside the house, but we were told they were there till 230. My husband calls Tyler to clarify and he says oh no we chem sprayed the walls today I never said we do one floor each day. Day 2: Again it looks like absolutely nothing was done, my husband calls Tyler and he said they used over 85 chem sponges on our walls and "it was a lot worse than he thought". That night I wiped my walls with wet baby wipes and they were absolutely black with soot!! When this all began I asked if we needed to move things for the cleaners, I was told no that's part of their job they will take care of everything. Not one thing in my home was moved by these cleaners, there was still dust under my couches on tile floors when their job was complete. We were given a list of things they were supposed to clean itemized one by one, they were supposed to empty and clean and replace closets and cabinets which they never even attempted. BEWARE this company is an absolute fraud, and honestly robbing the insurance companies!!! The 4 day job ended up taking over a week and a half because I had to continuously check and go over their work.
