I usually do not rate companies, but the experience was so poor, I am compelled to do so. Moving Solutions did not do a good job. They never told us that they had planned to pack the moving truck on Thursday and empty the truck the next day at our new home. Our contract said an extra day would only be used if needed. We had no place to sleep! The salesperson would not answer his mobile when we were trying to get a resolution via my husbands phone. however, when calling from my cell phone, a number unfamiliar to him, he answered immediately. The movers were very nice but took a 15 minute break every hour. This really dragged out the move. They did not remove all the furniture we asked them to because they said they couldn't get it up the steps of our new home. So sad that paying for a moving service resulted in such poor experience. We utilized them for packing and moving. THEY estimated the pounds and provided the estimate. We chose them because we believed their salesperson. He said we'd have our own truck due to our size. Moving day came...NOT our own truck. Half of our furniture is still in Storage somewhere one week later. No estimated date of delivery because they cannot find a driver?!? DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. This company is full of liars and cheaters. Don Blauman gave me an initial quote/estimate over Zoom, once the moving day drew nearer I paid the estimate in full with good faith. When they actually completed the move, 2 items on the original quote were sold and should not have been included with the quote thus I was entitled to a refund. The whole company cheated me out of my money, I tried to resolve with them and Ray one of their employees accused me of being a liar saying the items were packed. Once I said if the items are packed be sure to deliver them, then they made up another excuse. I tried to resolve it with the company only to get run around. I will suggest to my former employer to not contract with them anymore as they will steal your money. The whole business is unethical and does not have sound moral judgment. read more

Please do not use this company, as they are unreliable, irresponsible and dishonest. My grandmother paid to have 3 pieces of my late grandfathers antique office furniture sent to me (Ohio to NC) back in February, and it took them over six months to deliver it (mid august). I had expected delays, as this wasn't an urgent delivery (and there is a pandemic), but six months is ridiculous. When the furniture did arrive, the delivery folks didn't wear masks, they left a large 5 foot piece of glass that was not part of the delivery, and one guy left his keys. I contacted the delivery driver right away to try and give the keys back, but he said he didn't have contact info for the man, and did not offer to assist me. I realized later that the desk I'd had delivered was locked, and the keys must've been left on the delivery truck. About a week later, I received a ripped envelope in the mail with a yellow post-it note inside that said "desk key", but no keys in it. I contacted Bill T. (I think he's the owner or manager), to let him know someone would be missing a large piece of glass, their keys, and to see how he was going to fix my key situation. His response was that he didn't know anything about a desk key, even though it was post marked from Cleveland, OH the day after delivery, and sent in a "Moving solutions" envelope with their address on it. He suggested that my mom sent it to me (my mom does not live in OH, and it was not addressed in her handwriting), and said he would contact her to look into it (which he never did). Further more, he said he didn't see how it was their problem or they were responsible for sending the metal keys in a non-reinforced paper envelope which ripped in the mail. I will have to pay to have the antique lock rekeyed or replaced in order to utilize the desk, and I still have the glass and car keys, which he also said he would look into, but never did. Please go with a company that cares about their service, is reliable and honest. Moving solutions meets none of the above criteria. read more

This company has thieves working for them. I hired them to move my parents so they could be closer to me. After unpacking all the boxes we discovered my mother's silver was missing along with a portable dvd player and a small figurine. The silverware is impossible to replace since she has had it for over 50 years. It just so happens the worker that packed those 3 items did not return the 2nd day to finish. After complaining to the company they said there was nothing they could do because it is in the contract they are not responsible for stolen items. WOW, who is responsible then. The Willoughby / Cleveland NorthAmerican Moving Services/Moving Solutions company has been nothing but an inconvenience. After receiving notification from Overstock that the company would be scheduling my delivery service, I had to wait 3 days, 3 unreturned voicemails and countless calls before someone in logistics by chance answered the phone. After setting up a time for my couch to be delivered, I arranged to work from home during the five hour delivery window. Despite saying I would be given a 30 minute notice prior to arrival, the delivery men arrived without notice. This would not have been an issue if they had remembered to load the couch onto the truck in the first place. After having the truck parked in the middle of the street for 30 minutes, I am informed that there was a mistake and my couch had not been loaded onto the truck and that it would be days later before an attempt could be made to deliver it again, Several unreturned voicemail's later to management and to logistics, I only again by chance have someone answer the phone and reschedule delivery. Unfortunately given my travel schedule for work I had to have someone else wait at the house between 2 - 6 for the delivery. Again after several unanswered calls from 6:30pm - 7:30pm, the driver calls me to notify me that they will be there shortly. I let me friend who is patiently waiting know. 2 hours late, the delivery men arrive with the couch. The lack of communication, managements lack of respect and inability/willingness to make up for their mistake gives me zero faith in the company. I understand that incidents happen, but their total disregard for their customers time and money speaks volumes about their service. read more

Moving Solutions handled an exchange with Electrolux for a dishwasher. Part of the process was for Moving Solutions to re-install the new dishwasher. Unfortunately, their team was not equip to do the install. they damaged my custom cabinets, failed to use provided parts by Electrolux and installed the dishwasher crocked in the cabinet opening. I had a pod storage unit and Moving Solutions helped load all my furniture into the pod. Erick and Scottie called when they're on their way and arrived right on time. They wrapped all my things carefully and loaded all my things quickly, efficiently, in just one hour. They were both courteous, professional, and friendly. I do not recommend this company. While the drivers were wonderful, the company was not. They delivered in two different loads spaced a month apart and in the process, lost two of our items (a patio chair that is part of a set and a globe we can no longer get for a floor lamp, rendering the entire lamp useless). They were largely uninterested/unresponsive when we asked about these items and even though we pushed the company hard enough to get a claim filed, the claim was ultimately denied. I made the mistake of hiring Moving Solutions for a two-stage cross country move. The first move was a very small shipment, which was sub-contracted to another company. When this company stalled and didn't deliver my goods, citing weather problems (there wasn't any weather BTW!!!), I wasn't updated by Moving Solutions and had to call them repeatedly for updates. No compensation was offered due to the missed delivery date. Ok, so part 2!!! Moving Solutions came to my house for the rest of the belongings. Not only did they not save enough space in the truck, requiring a second truck (which arrived WEEKS late), they brought a criminal with them, who stole my laptop, some headphones and other small equipment. This employee proceeded to hock my laptop at a pawn shop with his own id, so there's no question as to whether Moving Solutions stole my property. Moving Solutions promised to "make it right" repeatedly, but ultimately told me to deal with it. I received no compensation for the WEEKS I waited for my belongings or the deductible that didn't cover my stolen belongings. I had to make a claim against my own homeowners insurance to find restitution. BEWARE!!! Find someone else to hire!!! read more

Placed an order with IKEA and unfortunately Moving Solutions was chosen by IKEA to handle the deliver. The main part of the order was lost by Moving Solutions. Trying to get ahold of anyone besides the receptionist at that place is near impossible. Misnamed voicemail boxes is all you'll get transferred to and you can't hold for anyone because the receptionist only has 2 open lines. Logistics company, yeah right! And the term "follow-up" doesn't even exist in these peoples worlds. If you are forced to deal with these losers I fell sorry for you but you would have to be insane to actually seek them out to do business with them. Hands down the worst moving experience of my life....and I move a lot! If you value your time and money, do not waste your time with Moving Solutions. I have moved over 15 times in my lifetime (some local and others coast-to-coast moves) and I have worked with many different movers. Moving Solutions was by far the worst moving experience that I have had to endure. I have never experienced the level of inept customer service and so called 'Management" that do absolutely nothing but say "I will look into it and get right back to hold". Don't hold your breathe because they will NEVER call you back.
