When you get there you drive inside the building and your vehicle gets weighed. If it's one type of metal you are getting cash for they have you drive back to the location for the metal drop off is. You unload your items then go back to the weigh in station and they weigh your car again. That is where they get the weight amount of the metal you've dropped off. You go to the cashier and they give you money. If you have different types of scrap you should have it separated and you can load up a cart with it and go to a smaller scale that is near the cashiers office. The only downside is having to unload your vehicle (especially if you have a lot). They take all kinds of metals such as copper, aluminum, steel, and aluminum cans. There may be others that I didn't list. Last time we were there they helped to unload scrap which we totally appreciated! Their prices are pretty good compared to some of the other companies in the area that also scrap metals.

This location is easy to access with a parking lot right out front. I recommend bringing your project in on a flash drive in a number of formats in case you need to make changes. You can also upload your file in advance if it's really large. If you're working on behalf of an organization, be sure to bring your tax exempt paperwork or ask if they have it on file already. My in-person experience was relatively good - good enough that I was posting about it to family and friends with high recommendation. But the day after the move I went to set up my TV and discovered that the screen was severely cracked, having been (it seems) pinched in the top two corners. The crack spread across the entire top half of the screen. The TV works, but is unusable. I had to buy a new one, which cost me almost $200. I submitted the damage complaint twice and was not even contacted. For a company that calls and emails every day for a week trying to GET my business in the first place, that is particularly gross. As it stands now, I can't imagine ever using or recommending College HUNKS again purely because of the lack of response to my complaints, let alone lack of resolution. If you don't have anything fragile, sure, go ahead. But maybe move the fragile things yourself (my TV was the only fragile thing I did not move myself, and I sorely regret it). I will add that it was a 3.5 hour job that involved moving down from a second floor in a house and then up to a third floor in another house, and the TV was the only thing damaged. It was not packed in a box and the movers assured me they could use their TV bag and it would be fine. It was not fine.
