While Chris and I never met in person, I felt so comfortable. The weeks leading to the wedding, he was readily available for questions/concerns/logistics. Meeting with my vendors, giving suggestions on wedding day flow and making the magic happen. He probably did more behind the scenes that I didn't even have to put thought into. He was just that good. DJ Pauly Paul was the MC for our event and he was very knowledgeable and quick with a song that would get the guests on their feet. Somehow playing crowd pleasers and songs that hit my particular taste. Everyone 21-70 years old was on the floor. Paul reached out with great suggestions and guides for the specific music. Our wedding had 3 sound stages, which I know was difficult. The team handled it with grace and coordination- like they loved the challenge, not at all like a burden or chore. Keith and Pauly Paul were behind the scenes heroes making it all happen. Transporting equipment, lighting and the audio guest book just happened. No one even realized the transition happened until it happened. I would also suggest the audio guest book! I was initially unsure but Chris graciously put it at our venue. Guests were fun with it- especially after a few drinks. Uplighting is also a must! My venue was Farrington Hollow and was particularly large. The owner of Farrington glowed about his service during our initial meeting and I soon found out the two companies work together SEAMLESSLY. Guests at my wedding were regularly coming up complimenting the DJ, venue and overall energy. I really give them credit to make my day and my guests!

From our initial meeting at a Starbucks, Brian set very high standards for himself. Did we mention that our first meeting ended up going for two hours? It was amazing how comfortable we felt around him right off the bat. He was an incredibly laid back and fun person to talk to, and we just lost track of time. For my wife and I, it seemed like we were talking to someone we had known for years, not a DJ we just met. After that meeting, we were pretty much set. We had met with one DJ before, and had talked to a couple others on the phone, and no one even came close to how comfortable we felt with him. We had made our decision before we had even gotten back to our car. Later when we informed him he had won the job, he literally had a child-like glee and excitement that he'd get to help make our reception something special. When we had our music meeting, we were once again impressed with Brian. Again, it turned into a two hour meeting, which is hard to call a meeting considering how much fun we had with him (including his falling in love with a certain comfortable chair at our apartment). He was a very detail oriented person, wanting to make sure he got everything right; people's names and pronunciations, how each of our parents should be introduced and whether they were married or not, among many other things. He even brought up a few things that we had completely neglected to think about, and certainly saved our butts from some last minute panic. He was also very thorough about the music for the evening, obviously like you would hope for a DJ! He was very particular about trying to understand our musical tastes, which for my wife and I, were very different. I'm very much a country boy at heart, she is pretty much all music except country. His depth of knowledge of music was incredible, and whenever we needed suggestions for a song to use during a part of our reception, he always managed to pick out a few samples that hit just right and made it incredibly hard to pick just one! Again, he set some incredibly high standards for himself. When we got to the big day, Brian managed to outdo the standards he had set for himself. At the end of the night I literally didn't have the words to thank him. I had gotten so many compliments during our reception about how great the music was, and how much everyone loved the game we had played right before the dinner began (which was completely Brian's suggestion!) He made the night. He was very organized and kept the event going in the right direction the entire night. He honestly knew more about the schedule for the reception than I did! I honestly don't know if I could ever run out of good things to say about Brian Wright. I sincerely hope a few of our friends who are getting married soon pick him as their DJ so I can see him again. I cannot thank him enough for how memorable of an evening he made my wedding day. I want to have more parties just so I can hire him! How much do I believe in Brian Wright? At our reception, I picked up a stack of his business cards. I carry them in my wallet so that whenever anyone, anywhere, mentions that they need a DJ, I don't even have to think about looking up his information to give them, I can just hand them his card and tell them: "Just use this DJ. Extremely disappointing wedding DJ experience…read more The venue, food, and wedding itself were wonderful. Unfortunately, the DJ was the biggest disappointment of the night. The couple considered the DJ extremely important and actually booked the DJ service before booking their venue. They initially met the company through a wedding expo and were very impressed by the DJ/salesperson they met there. Unfortunately, the DJ who ultimately worked their wedding was someone completely different. The experience honestly felt like a bait-and-switch. The ceremony music was barely audible, including the bride's entrance. At the reception, the DJ made virtually no effort to create energy, interact with guests, or get people onto the dance floor. The dance floor remained almost completely empty. The moment that says it all: I asked the DJ to play "Never Been to Spain" by Three Dog Night because my husband and I had practiced a special dance to it. She told me it wasn't on her list and declined the request. I became emotional because this was something special we had planned for the wedding. Eventually, after someone else intervened, she played the song--and the dance floor immediately filled. I had five different guests come up to me afterward and tell me how much they loved the song. It was obvious people wanted to dance; the DJ simply wasn't reading the room. Requests from other guests, including the kids, were also delayed or denied. The groom reportedly had a request denied as well. The DJ's scheduled end time was 10:00 p.m. The bride and groom had fully intended to pay for additional hours, but after the experience that night, they decided it simply wasn't worth it. Instead, they left their own reception and went elsewhere. Within minutes, the reception essentially emptied out. I understand the couple didn't complete the company's formal online song list, although they did communicate their preferences by email. But a wedding DJ's job is much more than pressing play. It's reading the room, creating energy, handling requests, making announcements, and helping make the night memorable. Unfortunately, this DJ failed to do those things, and there was no follow-up afterward from either the DJ or company. For a couple who cared deeply about their music and were prepared to pay for additional DJ time, this was an incredibly disappointing experience.

We searched for a long time for a DJ that would truly disc jockey: fade and shuffle from song to song and use the crowd's vibe to make song selection decisions. That did not happen at all. All of each song was played and we only heard about 1/4 of our hoped and planned selections. I would not advise for a large wedding.
