Showcase sound was amazing, although we didn't have our original DJ choice available to us after having to reschedule due to COVID, we couldn't have been happier with Cassie and Neffee. These two were awesome together and made this wedding couple and our wedding party all comfortable and pumped for the celebration. They did a great job assisting with the ceremony and got the party started for the reception. Cassie and Neffee were very flexible with last minute changes and used our music choices to cater to our preferences to create a great soundtrack to our special day. We picked this dj company for our wedding this past July after much research and seeing them at bridal shows. They had an awesome "Black Friday deal" which helped us decide. The package was for 5 hours dj, photo booth and uplighting. they do also have other separate decor options but we didn't decide on those. They were very accommodating and provided us a website to use so we could pick out some songs for them to get an idea of what we wanted. we picked our songs and put them into categories from must play to never play. the photo booth we picked was their newest ones and it looked awesome, however the owner didn't realize mid way through the year that she promised it to someone else. I was devastated, but she gave us the next best one and accommodated us by giving a full room of uplighting for free instead of the original half room. We also were able to still have the backdrop we picked. At some point in the year you go to a special event at harro east to pick the dj/mc you want... this was actually very hard for me because I'm not good at a judge of character from a short convo or making small talk. I feel uncomfortable doing that most of the time, but what is a better way to pick the dj you want? i think most dj companies don't do this? We met all the dj's that were available for our night and actually chose the guy we didn't think we originally wanted. the reason why we went with him was because he was most like us in taste of music and style. the only problem we actually had was his personality didn't exactly mesh with what we wanted.... so make sure you go with someone who will present themselves as how you want the night to go! closer to the date we sat down with one of the owners and did a play by play of how we wanted the night to go and picked our first dance songs. we also chose the color for our uplighting and finalized most of the night. overall I thought they did a good job, the sound quality of the music is good, the lightening they provide is good, and the process is professional. read more

I have organized numerous events from small family gatherings to large corporate functions and I will say Lisa at Showcase Sound was, by far, the worst DJ I have ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire this company. If I could give 0 stars, I would. read more

Brad and I were married on October 17th and had Showcase Sound as our DJ/photobooth. I remember meeting Lisa at one of the Rochester Bridal Shows. Brad instantly knew she was the DJ he wanted! It took very little effort for him to talk me into it. Our initial one-on-one meeting with Lisa, I loved how our personalities matched! She seemed to really "get" the type of music Brad likes (90's One Hit Wonders) and the music I like (Britney Spears) What sealed the deal was when my father asked her "Have you ever heard of Bruce Springsteen?" and Lisa said "He's an up and coming artist, right?" We didn't give them a lot of "must plays" just pretty much a range of what we like. During our reception, Lisa came up to us and asked if she can play different music, my obnoxious uncle complained about the music. We were okay with playing anything! They did a good mix of my parent's music, and our music. Lisa and her team did a great job at keeping the reception on schedule. Even dealing with my weird demands, such as singing "Happy Birthday" to one of my bridesmaids, and playing "Sweet Child of Mine" for my father daughter dance. The photobooth was great too! Everyone loved it! I love looking through the hard copies my friends added to our book! I definitely recommend Showcase Sound! read more

I should've wrote this review months ago! As soon as we went for our consultation, we knew immediately that we had to go with Lisa and her crew! Very professional, friendly and outgoing, Lisa knew exactly what we were looking for! Choosing what lighting to go with, colors, and even suggesting the big "love letters," everything was perfect. The "love letters" by the way...HUGE hit with everyone! So fun! We didn't go with the photo booth, but everyone was taking pictures by the letters! It was great! We loved the online site that we used to put our song choices in, it was so helpful. Even had a countdown to our big event! My husband and I are so glad that we went with Showcase Sound. The three stars are for the business and the woman who I worked with there. She was very professional and friendly. She was on top of any forms and called to confirm. The DJ himself, cashawn, was so withdrawn. He barely spoke to us or at all! We had to ask several times for the music requested to be played. He was 45 min late and did not start actually playing music until 6:30, we requested a 6:00 start, then ended before our end time. Needless to say he definitely didn't earn the tip we gave him. read more

THEY WERE AMAZING! I selected Showcase Sound after we interviewed about 5 DJs. I was really of the belief that the DJ makes or breaks your wedding, so I wanted it to be the right choice but we were also mindful of budget. Our April wedding offered us a great deal on their services, and I was impressed with Lisa's professionalism and experience. We were told of who she had chosen for us - Kurt and Aleigha - a couple months prior and we had a chance to talk with Kurt. I majored in dance in college and a lot of my guests are big dancers so I was pretty adamant that there be a lot of Top 40 and not so much of the "ease you into the night" music during the dancing portion of the evening. They were so mindful of my requests that during the night they went over what people were asking for with me quickly to make sure it was okay. Of course I said yes to everything, but I appreciated that they cared if I was okay with it! People had the greatest time, everyone was dancing for 4+ hours straight. They booed when the music ended at 11:30 - that is what I call a success! I was nervous because I hadn't talked to them all that much before the big day, but they were one million percent perfect. With this, I have worked with many of their DJ's and every single one of them has delivered amazing service and created the type of enviorment my clients are looking for. Lisa was our DJ for our wedding last weekend and she and her assistant did an amazing job. She was so helpful in guiding us in choosing music for our wedding that we enjoyed and our guest would as well. She was even able to incorporate requests from my parents that were slightly cheesy, but she found modern versions that were fun for a young crowd to dance to and made my parents happy. During the reception she made sure to check in with us to make sure that we were having a good time. We had to make some last minute changes during the reception just because of how the day unfolded and Lisa was super flexible and no one even noticed the changes because she was able to incorporate everything so smootly. Sorry to hear that Sarina. I just had my wedding with them and loved the job they did. The owner with the "annoying valley girl voice girl" personally did our wedding and did a tremendous job. They also ran our photo booth we rented from them and everyone loved it. Of course, my wife and I are easy going people that even if that did happen I wouldn't let it ruin the perfect night that it was. We gave them a handful of songs we wanted and gave them the gist of the type of music we like and they hit the nail on the head perfectly. Lisa was fantastic. She was very responsive, helped us through the whole process, and on the wedding day was flawless. Showcase handled our ceremony music, uplighting (which was jaw-dropping), hosted an amazing photobooth that comes with your own personal booklet at the end of the night, and did a great job with as DJ for the evening. The sound was perfect and the volume was perfect (you could still have a conversation with the music playing). During the wedding day, Lisa was directly involved in making sure the day was going great and worked with our wedding coordinator to help keep the day on "schedule". Burn down the disco. "Hang the DJ, hang the dj, hang the dj..." Great idea for a coordinated DJ-ing company. They let you create your own event playlist and have a pretty extensive selection of great music. My soon to be husband and I spent hours going through their library and selected a good 5 hours of music for them to play. They even give you a certain amount of obscure songs to choose, 15 I think, that they'll go and get for you. Pretty sweet, right? Wrong. Our wedding reception started and among the first 5 songs were Love Shack, Dancing Queen, and I think something from Bryan Adams made it in there. Needless to say, we were mortified and ran to the DJ table to find out what the F#$! was going on. They apologized and proceeded to play some of the playlist we created. About an hour in some other horrific melodies started making their way in so we visited them again, this time pissed off. The DJ told us that the woman who owns the company (who talks like an annoying valley girl) sent them there unprepared and they didn't have many of the songs we requested. That's just what I want to hear while you are slinging shitty songs at my wedding AFTER I paid you $700 for 5 hours of music. Way to go shitcase-sound. Luckily there was a 4 hour open bar to safety net your foul up. read more

Lisa and Phil met, and exceeded, all of our expectations. We really appreciated the fact that they kept us on track, but at the same time didn't rush us.
