They are professional and helpful but still down to earth people that are easy to get along with. You don't want some shmuck walking around taking pictures, but it's important to feel comfortable with your photographers. Our engagement shoot was a great introduction to what it feels like to know a camera is on you, but with Rich and Alyssa behind the lens I didn't feel weird or uneasy. That is probably why I look so fab in all these pics ;) I love the style and look of the photos, but mainly I adore how they capture the day. Even when perusing photos from weddings of people I've never met, I get that feeling of anticipation, excitement, happiness and love. When I was looking through the pictures from my own wedding I felt all those emotions rush over me again, but it was so fun to relive the day in a way I wasn't able to. I loved the shots they took of other friends and family enjoying themselves, the things I didn't see since I was busy being "the bride". These pictures are timeless. I know I will cherish these photos until forever. As a kid I loved seeing pictures of my parents and grandparents in their younger years, and these photos will be exciting for me to show off if I have my own family down the road. And finally, Rich and Alyssa are cool people. They have a beautiful family and are great people. I feel like I made a couple of new friends after this experience. So the problem is how to find the right photographer. When I was asked to recommend one for a wedding, I suggested a photographer who I knew who did great work. that was Barbara, the owner and operator of Basia Photography. Her portfolio featured a great deal of fashion and model shoots, and one thing stood out. She had that strange ability to capture a level of emotion in her subjects that is rare to see. If you can make me care about a fashion model, then you can make me care about anything you take a photo of. The wedding shots turned out great. I couldn't believe the level of quality compared to the cost of her services. The only drawback seems to be that she doesn't have a traditional studio. It took some juggling of schedules to make an appointment. That said, it was worth the wait. So professional.

Her pics are either really close up or very far away. Doesn't pose the kids, I'm all for non posed pics however when it's for dance that's completely different. The lighting is always bad. I take better pics. Her new thing is she puts these extremely heavy watermarks on her digital images so you can't print them out. While I understand that concept, these were so obnoxious me and my sister both said the same thing about our kids pics. We couldn't really tell what we were purchasing. So blurry. When I contacted her she said replied with, adorable, lots of smiles. Sure, because she can actually see them, I can't. What would she say, oh they look awful? When telling her I couldn't really tell due to the watermark, she ignored me and never emailed me back again. I think she just assumes if parents want a pic of their kid in their costumes that bad they will pay for it. And she would be correct. Here I am after going back and forth with frustration ended up giving in and purchasing the 3 I felt looked decent. When the watermark was removed after I paid of course, I wish I haven't done that. Should have went with my gut on this one and not purchased. Each digital download was $35 or you get 5 images for $100 as a package deal. I couldn't even pic out 5 good ones out a total of 34 images she took. Save your money. Hire someone else. If her studio has her come back, I definitely won't be sending my daughter in on pic day. Waste of good hair, costumes, and makeup.

I had seen Jessica's work on Facebook and was referred by a friend who had nothing but great things to say. I purchased a large photo package which included maternity photos and pictures of my baby right after she born, at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. I knew what I wanted my photo package to look like and Jessica was very accommodating. Good photos aren't cheap, but I found Jessica's prices to be comparable to other photographers. Our first photo shoot was done outside. My son didn't cooperate at all, but she still managed to get great pictures. Our second photo shoot was for my daughter's newborn photos and that was done in her studio. The studio was a clean professional space that was decorated very nicely. One thing that I love about Jessica is the number of photos she gives you. You definitely get your money's worth! Jessica also prides herself on getting you your photos on time!

They were able to keep her still, get her attention, and get some great photos of her. I also went to them for professional photos that I needed for work. Some of my coworkers went to a different studio and they are all jealous of how my photos turned out! Mike and his team make the sessions comfortable, relaxed, and they have great turn-around time with your photos. You can even stay and see your images the same day to pick out ones you want.
