This company is horrible and liars about everything. They…read moreran behind and showed up a day late. The packers did a good job of wrapping up the furniture (we packed the boxes). While packing they put a large gouge in our Acacia wood floors. The driver called the office to tell them and said they would repair it, but they never did. They then added on $2000 for storage and handling and $2000 cf for bulky item handling which weren't in the estimate and were unnecessary. The total price was much, much higher than the brokers estimate. I said that was ridiculous that there was that much more than estimated. We compared what we had told the broker with what the mover had, and the inventories were very close. I called the broker and the driver called his companies owner. After much discussion the owner said he would give an $1800 discount. We finally agreed and they loaded the truck. They only brought a 26' straight truck and had to strap our Sleep Number bed on the back. The driver was going to Denver that night and didn't think it would be too long before it was delivered. After a while and a couple of calls they told me I would have to call the movers to find out the delivery. I reviewed the bill of lading and noticed that they gave me only a $1000 discount, not the $1800 promised by the owner or the $200 for being late. I called the company several times to get that straightened out before delivery. I talked to 3 different people and they all said they had to talk to the owner to find out what was promised and would call me back. They never did call me back. I asked if they knew where our goods were and they were stored in their warehouse in California. On the 4th call they said the owner was in a meeting and would call me back at 3:15 their time. He never called me back. Whenever I called, I asked for an estimated delivery date. The date kept changing and we had to change travel plans because the delivery date kept moving out. On a Monday I called the broker and they were supposed to be there Thursday or Friday, she had called the driver and he was in Indiana (goods were stored in California and coming to Pennsylvania). When my goods came, they came late Saturday. The drivers had come directly from the warehouse in California and the truck wasn't loaded until Tuesday, so the broker and mover lied about all the delivery dates. Many boxes were severely damaged or crushed. The company that delivered the goods did not load their truck and said it was a horrible job and the moving company did a poor job. The goods were packed in NM and then shipped to CA for storage for 3 weeks for no apparent reason. They wouldn't give me the discount they said they would when they picked up the load and wouldn't even call me back to discuss it. They eventually wouldn't answer my calls. I called at least 4 times and they wouldn't address the floor damage.

They demanded extra charges that we did not expect or agree to, and we were essentially forced to pay because they had all of our belongings and we had no choice if we wanted our furniture delivered. We trusted BLVD with our entire household and instead ended up dealing with missing furniture, unexpected charges, poor communication, and an enormous amount of stress. Moving across the country is already stressful. A moving company should not make the situation worse by holding your belongings and demanding additional money when you have nowhere else to turn. Based on our experience, I would absolutely not recommend BLVD for a move. Think very carefully before trusting them with your belongings. They are thief.
