The entire Renew staff works as a team. The clinic is clean and everyone knows their jobs. Patients are treated with respect, treatments are customized to the injuries, and then adjusted based on results. I have had treatments from Kyle, Taylor and Jason, and all three PTs have contributed to my recovery. The support staff is awesome and courteous also. At STAR, I was given no information as to my Copays or the total charges to my insurance. This resulted in a big surprise bill where the Copay amounts were higher than the total charged by Renew. Cheryl can tell you at any time what you owe. I am continuing my treatment and referring anyone I know in need of PT or just having aches and pains, to Renew Mandeville.

All is well until your doctor leaves the country. No one calls to advise me or tell me I need to…read morereschedule. I CALL THEM and say "hey I didn't get an appointment confirmation phone call." I'm told "oh Dr Chaing is out of the county. We rescheduled all of his appointments and sent in refills for everyone" I said well I wasn't called." She said "ok let's reschedule you and I will send a message to him about your medication refills. But the last message from him said he was unavailable" I said how can he possibly leave the country and not refill ALL of his patient's medications. And here it comes. The LOOPHOLE.... All Dr Chainges medications are as needed. So I look at my bottles which are all empty and it says take twice daily "AS NEEDED"for severe pain.So he prescribes addictive medications. LEAVES THE COUNTRY to leave his patients in pain and sick from opiate detoxification. And could care less about the patient. I wonder how many patients of his are right now sick like me. Nausea. Vomiting. Sweats. Chills. Diarrhea. All that For a 56 yr old woman in severe daily pain. I called the pharmacy 3 days in a row. And. NOTHING. I call Avala spine and inquire again about my medication and I am told " he hasn't responded to my message yet. And there you have it in a nutshell. Patient comes last when the Dr plans a trip out of the country. And YES I ASKED was it a vacation trip. I was told YES. SO I HOPE HE ENJOYS HIS LEISURE TRIP.

My bad rating is due to the fact that we had to be there 1 1/2 hours early for surgery which was absolutely ridiculous. But mostly because the office has NO on-call or even answering service! Last night he was experiencing extreme numbness and we tried to call. We got a recording from LAST summer saying the office was closed for 4th of July and to call back when they were open. We called Avala where the surgery took place and got no help there either. They said if it worsened to take him to an ER. He's had dozens of surgeries and never once were we not able to contact someone afterwards if needed. We've also never had a surgery where someone didn't call to see how he was doing that evening or at least the next morning. Apparently once they operate on you, you're on your own. After his follow up appointment, we will definitely find another orthopedic practice if we ever need one.
