Extremely professional and wonderful group. They were able to quickly determine my issues and improvements were seen almost immediately.

First let me say I loved PT Solutions. Friendly, funny people; the atmosphere was great. I looked…read moreforward to going. The part that I have an issue with is as follows: I had a total knee replacement. At one month in, my PT had me do 45 lunges, with knee going over the toe. It immediately caused me quite a bit of additional pain, and lasted over a month. My doctor was appalled that he would have me do lunges at all, let alone 45. That was my first injury. The second injury was at three months out. The idea was to get me ready for pickleball, but I thought INCLUDED in that was just being able to walk. My PT had me do a lateral exercise with a tight rubber band around my ankles, three sets of 12 or 15, I can't remember. By the time I was done, I started feeling something in my left hip. This pain has to date not gone away and has only intensified. My knee pain also got worse. I have extreme trouble upon rising after sitting and going up and down stairs. I have to pull on the railing to help myself get up. It is really painful. It feels like something was torn deep in my hip pocket. Turns out, I have torn cartilage in my hip joint and it exacerbated my pre-existing arthritis. As a result, I have had to get an x-ray, an MRI and a cortisone shot with x-ray and dye in my left hip. As my PT knew, I have a trip to Paris in September, and getting in shape for a lot of walking was on my immediate radar. I am now disabled and my Paris trip will be affected. I quit going after I was injured and am very disappointed in the result of my PT. I am not a complainer and never leave Yelp reviews. I would hope that the PT will fully realize that he is dealing with people who are older and susceptible to injury with rigorous activity. And I would also say, advocate for yourself! I felt like I was ready to fly on my own and was talked into six more sessions. I wish I had listened to my gut. I was very sad to leave on those terms because, as I said, the personalities at PT Solutions was the best part of my experience there.

Roughly three years ago, I started attending appointments at PT Solutions, and the experience was a…read morecomplete nightmare. I was scheduled for once to twice a week, for a 45 minute to an hour appointment (never any consistency). Even though I would usually arrive beforehand, my appointments rarely started on time. I never saw the same therapist as the prior appointment, so there was often a lot of note reading during my appointments with a lot of repeat questions and answers. I would see my "therapist" for maybe a total of 10 minutes during the entire appointment. They would talk to me a few minutes (this is where the repeat q&a came in) before giving me an exercise that didn't even target my pain. Then another exercise. Then another. The place was a wide open space with the therapist seeing me along with like 4 other patients at the same time. The room always felt crowded like I was in a gym; people everywhere. And I'd say during about half my appointments, the room was uncomfortably hot and humid; it felt as though the air conditioning was broken and smelled like a musty locker room. I never once left feeling like I got the therapy that I needed or paid for; I always left wondering why the hell I was wasting my time with them. I even witnessed the staff eating their lunch on one of the client tables (that people laid down on for massages and workouts). I mean... c'mon... provide your staff with a break room or something, damn. Most of the staff was kind, but kindness only goes so far when you treat your clients like a number instead of a person. Thankfully, I have found a much better physical therapy place down the road (roughly 18 months ago) that is the complete opposite of this place and is, hands down, a much better experience. Unless you absolutely have no choice, I would heavily recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

I went through my insurance coverage here blazing fast. Their business model finds a way to have…read morethe same person billing for two or three things at the same time. They set one patient up with a machine. While they are charging full price for "supervision" on the machine, the PT or much lower paid PT assistant is doing one or two other billable tasks. I also found them to be disrespectful of patient privacy. A PT assistant entered my room without knocking and held the door open while my whole buttock was exposed. Other elderly people are sharing tables hooked up to machines with their shorts pulled up to their groins.

What happened at the front desk, regarding insurance, was a very different story. After making a mistake with my co-pay - and I paid exactly what they requested - they decided that they couldn't see me again until (their) mistake was cleared up with the insurance company. Had my physical therapy been dependent on any consistancy that could have been a very serious problem. It wasn't. Still, it was handled badly and unprofessionally. I've found a physical therapy office who makes better decisions about patient care.

I was advised to come back in and the staff would work with me once more. I had previously canceled two weeks. Everything was progressing and then I had a particular staff member that had me back at the onset. She had me also doing another exercise which set me back again. I am now in more pain. This place is like an assembly line. Each therapist must have at least three patients at one time. They give you one exercise and move on to the next patient. Then they talk amongst themselves and idle talk with other patients. I was left sitting and waiting for the staff to come back and give me my next exercise. That is basically all that is done at this facility. The fact is they made my condition worse. I do not recommend this practice at all.

Having been rear ended in spring of last year, and still having severe back issues, my doctor recommended trying GENTLE physical therapy. Despite having sent in the usual paperwork beforehand, I still was required to fill out more on arrival. On meeting "my" therapist, I attempted to give her the CD of the most recent CAT scan of my back. She informed me that they had no way of reading the disc, and would have to get it from my doctors office, despite knowing for 2 weeks I was coming in. The staff was friendly. Aggressively friendly. Overbearingly friendly. I was bombarded with "Hi, I'm XXXX, and we're SO glad you're here!!". There were compliments on my hair, my jewelry, my clothing, etc., etc., etc. If I'd wanted social interaction, I would have gone to a "meet and greet" with people my own age, not ones young enough to be my kids. The "evaluation" was cursory (and repeated every time I went...???? really???) Turned out that "my" therapist was just one of a cast of multiple folks who all had their own ideas of what should be done. Each time I went, I came out in twice the pain I went in with. EVERY SINGLE TIME (total of 4 sessions over 2 weeks). At the 3rd session, I stopped the therapist, as I was all but in tears, and the "oh, I'm sorry" that I got was no consolation. Unless you want 14 new best friends, who'll flatter you endlessly (and obviously falsely) and to be tortured even after you express your increasing pain, I'd stay away....far, far, away.
