Everyone I dealt with, from the front desk to lead physical therapist, and all the other therapists were just outstanding.

I was having knee problems and was referred to Emerge Ortho by one of my neighbors. Dr. A. Kersten…read moreperformed knee replacement surgery and I was back home the next day. There were some complications during rehab nevertheless I'm fully recovered, and the knee functions well without pain! Dr Kersten and his assistant are genuinely thoughtful and amiable, and the office staff were professional and friendly. Dr. Kersten suggested I try Prescribe Fit to assist me with getting my weight down to reduce the pressures on my joints, specifically my knees and lower back. Since November 2023, I've lost 30 pounds. In addition to the weight loss, I eliminated the need for a CPAC device, my blood pressure has also come down to normal, I also experienced a reduction in pain levels, more energy, and last but not least, my clothes fit! With Prescribe Fit, you get an app, a digital Bluetooth scale, and a personal health coach. The app provides users with an effective way to record and monitor their progress, especially calories consumed, micronutrient levels, and weight. The scale syncs with the app to make weight-in easy and straightforward. But it's the Health Coach that is the linchpin of this program, in my opinion. My coach, Danielle, is responsive, knowledgeable, and empathetic. She provides me with great suggestions and useful information. She makes me feel at ease and heartens me when my weight stagnates. But most of all, it's the encouragement she offers and the sense that I feel accountable to her on our regular phone calls. I'll continue to use Emerge Ortho to address lower back pain with Dr. K. Caragea, who is very personable and knows how to assuage his patients. I recommend Emerge Ortho without any hesitation. Prescribe Fit has worked for me and I strongly recommend this service to anyone ready to commit to a healthier lifestyle.

Saw Cliff once but he said he'd never worked on a patient that wanted to keep their shirt on. Seriously? I got dumped on a PTA with no apparent oversight . She was very nice . But this facility according to their own staff loses half their therapists every year . Cliff and Pam decided to quit, fine, but also decided not to tell their patients . So we are now abandoned without care and without even the two weeks heads up to get on someone else's wait list . Cindy at the front desk is lovely but Donna is mean spirited and unprofessional , definitely not someone to deal with when you're in pain. I have had Head and Shoulders Superior Service at other places that just don't take Blue Cross anymore . But this place is a disaster

A few hours later I was in severe pain and had to take hydrocodone and get in to my doctor. The pain was the worse, more than I had when I stared therapy. I'm 77! I saw 3 different therapists in 4 visits ! Stay away from Cliff Montieth. I fired Pisgah Therapy ! I went to Fysical Therapy on S King St and they are much better and you see the same therapist every time. Therapist listens to me and is concerned and is helping me. Therapist starts gentle and works up to more difficult exercise and offered me "Needling" which helps. No rough stuff for seniors.

She had stayed at this wonderful facility 2 years ago for 6 weeks after a hip replacement. Everyone at The Lodge proved again to be exceptional. She probably had contact with the entire staff during this stay of 40 days. It would take pages to accurately state the attitudes of the entire staff. It began with smiles showing their concern to do everything possible for my wife during this difficult rehab experience. The smiles were the 'real deal', and were proven to be from the heart. She was shown professional care with love radiating from their hearts. This treatment produced contentment even when suffering physically. Contentment was the key that produced healing. Along with quality care from management, nursing, etc, they added something else to make the stay even more perfect. 'The FOOD'. Both my wife and I rate the food quality and taste higher than any restaurant that we have found in Asheville or Hendersonville. They permitted me to order my lunch or dinner and eat with her as often as I had time to do so. Yesterday, as we were trying to decide where to eat at some restaurant, my wife said, "Let's call The Lodge and see if they would let us order a meal one more time". I must add 1 more thing: 'The surrounding atmosphere'. From the 1st view, both inside and outside, the atmosphere was perfect. They even allowed our grandson to put a bird feeder outside her window. These 'birdwatching' experiences every day helped keep her mind on pleasant things when she was alone.

I am writing this review to warn others about the deeply troubling care my mother received at The…read moreLodge at Mills River. What she endured during her stay was not merely substandard -- it was a failure of basic human dignity that no patient should ever experience. My mother was admitted with a fractured pelvis, a serious and painful injury requiring careful, attentive care. Instead, pain management was grossly inadequate -- her suffering was never brought under control, and she was left in visible, prolonged distress. The facility does not provide patients with catheters despite limited mobility, leaving her lying for hours at a time in her own urine and excrement. This alone is a profound failure of basic nursing care. This is done to encourage patients to get out of bed, one staff member told me. When staff finally did attend to her, the handling of her body was alarmingly awkward. During cleaning, they moved her from side to side applying direct pressure to her fractured pelvis -- causing her tremendous, unnecessary pain. Whether this was due to a lack of training or simple carelessness, it is completely unacceptable for a patient with a known pelvic fracture. The environment itself was deeply distressing. A patient in an adjacent room could be heard repeatedly crying out "help me" -- for an extended period -- with no response whatsoever from staff. That sound will stay with me. It was not an isolated moment; it reflected the culture of neglect that seemed to permeate this facility. The attitude of much of the staff compounded everything. Several wore permanent scowls and did not mask their resentment when asked to respond to my mother's needs. Compassion and patience -- the very foundation of caregiving -- is in short supply when your job is driven by the numbers. I would urge anyone considering The Lodge at Mills River for a loved one to look elsewhere. Families trust these facilities with the people they love most, often at their most vulnerable. That trust was utterly broken here.

I would not hesitate to send any friend or family member to Dr. Cammarata. I'm currently in physical therapy at Emerge Ortho and can wholeheartedly recommend the facility in Arden, and especially my therapist, Malcolm. He pushes me to get maximum mobility and strength, without hurting me at all. I began asking specifically for my appointments to be with him a while back. Overall I'm incredibly grateful to this group for helping me get back to my career with a healthy shoulder. Much love and appreciation!!

Yesterday I sat in the lobby and watched the angry lady working at the front desk be completely rude to patients that had come in. Two that were clearly in a lot of pain and she was just outright rude to them. I thought she and one of the male patients were going to get into a fight when she took his payment and then refused to let him have his treatment because his ride could not be there until after the procedure. Go figure? I've seen her be rude to many people over the visits I've made there. I just keep my mouth shut and go in and pay my bill and ignore her but she's awful. I hope she doesn't see this and figure out who I am. The next time I go in, she might treat me terrible. Lol. Go somewhere else if you can. Especially if you're in pain or don't feel comfortable. Or if you need compassion. I think the doctors provide good service but it's not a place to go if you're needing. Any kind of friendliness, from my point of view.
