I want to be challenged with my exercises, and he sure delivers! I have also worked with a couple of other therapists when it wasn't possible to book with Taylor, and they were equally as good and made a point of reading through the notes on my situation prior to meeting with me. Tip: Schedule as many appointments ahead of time as possible to ensure you see your preferred PT at the days/times that work best for you, the slots fill up quickly. Therapists/medical staff are great, but billing is very shady and/or incompetent. Stuck me with an…read moreunexpected bill of nearly $500. I reached out to Compass a few months ago after getting a referral from my doctor to help with some back pain issues. When I reached out to them, I let them know that a previous PT office I was referred to had initially told me Aetna would cover everything and I'd just be responsible for a $50 copay. The other physical therapist office let me know prior to my first appointment however that after running my insurance, my cost per appointment would be significantly higher and suggested I cancel and find somewhere Aetna would cover. Soon after, I reached out to Compass, let them know about this entire situation over email, and got confirmation that my copay would only be $50. I scheduled my first appointment and three subsequent ones - paying $50 each time. A couple of weeks later I get a call from the staff who runs insurance/billing letting me know there was some miscommunication or mistake and Aetna would not in fact be covering my previous appointments and the amount owed would be substantially higher. I told them I'd like to cancel all future appointments then, given that it was way more expensive. I then got a call from the therapist I worked with (Eric, who was great) asking why I had missed my last appointment. I guess the billing staff I talked to didn't actually delete my appointments in their calendar. He said he'd look into it and see what's going on. A few weeks later, I get a surprise bill in the mail for $490 for the 4 appointments I had. A call with Compass confirmed that yes, I do owe them the full amount. I was told it would be $50 per appointment when I scheduled the appointments (and was encouraged to schedule in advance to make sure I got a spot in their schedule) then was slapped with a bill of roughly $172.50 per appointment. I guess I could only recommend this place if you're 100% sure your insurance will cover it, but even then you better get it in writing or they'll probably try and screw you over like they did to me. In a situation like this, I'd expect the practice to waive the cost as it was their fault in not doing their due diligence or communicating the cost at the time of the appointments being scheduled.

I was advised to come back in and the staff would work with me once more. I had previously canceled two weeks. Everything was progressing and then I had a particular staff member that had me back at the onset. She had me also doing another exercise which set me back again. I am now in more pain. This place is like an assembly line. Each therapist must have at least three patients at one time. They give you one exercise and move on to the next patient. Then they talk amongst themselves and idle talk with other patients. I was left sitting and waiting for the staff to come back and give me my next exercise. That is basically all that is done at this facility. The fact is they made my condition worse. I do not recommend this practice at all.

Treatments are well thought out and individually designed to address the specific needs of each client. Two specific examples: 1. A few years ago, I was treated for a torn achilles. Although I was sidelined for a couple of months, the on-site physical therapy and in-home program allowed me to return to my previous level of activity in less than a month. 2. Currently, I'm receiving treatment for a total hip replacement. The post-op treatment was well thought out and resulted in a lot of progress in the first 2 weeks. Now entering week 5, I have no limitations. In addition, Jim developed on-going, at home programs, that allow me to maintain the level of improvement. I've recommended Movement for Life to four neighbors, each with a different PT need. The feedback I've received from these individuals is excellent and their issues were addressed and resolved.
