We are fairly active and had to go in for help after doing something crazy. They've always been able to fit us in. I went into my first office visit with a lot of trepidation. In fact, I wanted to run away and hide in my car. I've had terrible back pain and Fibromyalgia for 30 years, so I've made the rounds of any doctor in Asheville that might could help me, including a chiropractor, years ago. But I stuck it out. I think I'm glad I did. Dr. Claire is so sweet and passionate about what she does. She seems to care a great deal. So, she put me at ease. She didn't do anything at my first visit, other than getting to know me and using a TENS unit for a few minutes. I agreed to come back, although I was disappointed that they didn't bill my insurance for my first visit. The doctor told me what procedures they offer and was upfront about the costs, the number of visits she would recommend, and what insurance would pay for. She also told me what financial plans they offer and that they would work with me. The second visit, she adjusted my back. (And they were able to bill my insurance for it.) So, I'm going to go to some more visits and see what happens. I was in a lot of pain for the next several days, but I expected it, because it's something new for my back, and I learned to live with it. The office is very clean and bright and soothing. It almost feels like going to a spa. The loud noises from some of their procedures are a bit jarring, especially on your first visit when you're nervous. I feel good about recommending them and I highly recommend getting your visit with Dr. Claire. read more

I have been a patient at Lawson Chiropractic for over 14 years. I have aged from a 60 year old with arthritis to a 74 year old with multiple ailments, including a pinched nerve in my back. I have seen all three doctors at the practice, though Dr. Sara is my regular doctor. I have found all of the doctors to be kind, professional and helpful regarding my adjustments. I always feel better after leaving the office, regardless of which doctor I saw that day. The office staff is warm and welcoming. I have been going here for a few weeks now due to a car accident that cause some pain. When I first went my neck and back where killing me. Let me start by saying I never write reviews for any places but I felt a need to write this to save other people time and money. If you'd like to know why I felt a need to write this please read this review entirely. I was a new patient here about 3 weeks ago, got a pinched nerve in my lower back and needed a new chiro in the Asheville area because I just moved here. I got realigned the first time I went to see this office and it helped. The next 2 times I went the Chiropractor I saw did not do any adjustments besides my neck because I was "too inflamed" in my lower back. I was told by the chiropractor that I would need to see them 5 times before I started to notice any relief. The second and third time I went I got zero pain relief because we didn't do any adjustments. The third time I went they added on this "K-Laser therapy" which apparently gets better the more you do it. So I wouldn't notice results from it until the 5th or 6th time. Oh and let me add that this Laser therapy cost 60$ each time you do it and insurance didn't cover it. So I was gonna have to spend near $400 on it before seeing any results. They use a laser to emit light into the area affected for 5 mins and it's supposed to help with inflammation. Yeah sounds super legit, huh? I left feeling no relief in my lower back and ended up going to an orthopedic doctor who prescribed steroids to help with the inflammation and after I picked up the prescription and took the pills I immediately started to feel relief. As far as I can tell this place was trying to rack me for $1000 and honestly that's all I think they cared about. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY. read more

I only have good things to say about Dr Kent's ability to help me with my ongoing medical needs. He has consistently for 8 years now been able to relieve me of pain. One thing I really like about him is the fact that he is understanding and not ignorant about my complicated mental and physical health history. Dr Kenton has the best precision when it comes to adjusting. I always feel safe on his table and confident he knows what he is doing. He is both friendly and incredibly professional. As a 60 y/o retired optometrist the constant bending and twisting in my work forced me into an early retirement. I also have DDD (degenerative disc disease) throughout my spine. After going there for almost a year and spending over $600 for $50 visits, I realized it wasn't really helping my heartburn. My backpain wasn't gone either. I decided to visit a back doctor in Asheville. They looked at my back and saw that the muscle on one side was larger than the other. Then they had me walk to check out my gait. She noticed that my gait was a little funny. She then measured the length of my legs and found that my left leg is a whole inch shorter than my right. She gave me (for free) 2 heel shoe inserts to lift up my leg. Within a week my pain was gone. It's been 3 months and I haven't had any backpain since. Wish I hadn't wasted $600 here. read more

I can't say enough good things about Lawson Chiropractic. I'm new to the area so I went to them based on a couple of positive Google reviews and their location was convenient for me. I was pleasantly surprised by how well I was treated by the staff and both doctors -- husband and wife team Kenton and Sara. I received a consultation, exam, and X-rays, then a treatment plan was fully explained and proposed. They were already familiar with my insurance plan and had costs estimated so I'd know what to expect. I began my treatment that day, and I can honestly tell you that I was already in much less pain after the 2nd visit. By the 4th visit, I had no pain. Zero. After completing the 8 visit plan, I can honestly say that my quality of life has greatly improved since I now have no chronic neck pain. I still go once a month for maintenance because I truly believe the adjustments keep my spine from slipping back into the wrong position and causing pain again. The staff calls me by name when I walk through the door (and have since the 2nd visit), I am always seen within moments of arriving, and there is a small play area that kids always seem to be enjoying. Discounts are available for your birthday month and also for referring new patients. The doctors Lawson are excellent care providers and are always at the top of their game.
