I was so fearful of making my arthritic knees worst in my quest to gain strength before surgery. Celeste has kept me out of pain and has moved me into greater mobility. I will definitely ask Celeste to be my guide through post-surgical rehab. Just can't say enough good things about Movement for Life and Celeste Lotz.

The space is clean, there is plenty of equipment, and my primary physical therapist Taylor Leiby really listens to me and asks questions when I tell him about what's going on with my body. I want to be challenged with my exercises, and he sure delivers! I have also worked with a couple of other therapists when it wasn't possible to book with Taylor, and they were equally as good and made a point of reading through the notes on my situation prior to meeting with me. Tip: Schedule as many appointments ahead of time as possible to ensure you see your preferred PT at the days/times that work best for you, the slots fill up quickly. They're open until 7pm which is a huge plus for me. The front office people are very friendly and helpful too! I highly recommend this practice A++

Treatments are well thought out and individually designed to address the specific needs of each client. Two specific examples: 1. A few years ago, I was treated for a torn achilles. Although I was sidelined for a couple of months, the on-site physical therapy and in-home program allowed me to return to my previous level of activity in less than a month. 2. Currently, I'm receiving treatment for a total hip replacement. The post-op treatment was well thought out and resulted in a lot of progress in the first 2 weeks. Now entering week 5, I have no limitations. In addition, Jim developed on-going, at home programs, that allow me to maintain the level of improvement. I've recommended Movement for Life to four neighbors, each with a different PT need. The feedback I've received from these individuals is excellent and their issues were addressed and resolved.

I'd forgotten my iPhone at home so she told me to go home and call my insurance company and I could cancel for that day - no problem. The next month they charged me $50 for leaving and not paying the $100. For 4 months I called their billing dept. and never received a call back. The intake people, Brenda and Phoebe, were very nice and listened to my story but said they had no authority to cancel the payment. Then I'm told the owner, Seth, heard my explanation and said I owed him $50. He would not talk with me neither would Stephanie, head of billing. I also learned they charge $165 or so for an evaluation and it's out of pocket with no insurance accepted. Strange policies at this place.

I reached out to Compass a few months ago after getting a referral from my doctor to help with some back pain issues. When I reached out to them, I let them know that a previous PT office I was referred to had initially told me Aetna would cover everything and I'd just be responsible for a $50 copay. The other physical therapist office let me know prior to my first appointment however that after running my insurance, my cost per appointment would be significantly higher and suggested I cancel and find somewhere Aetna would cover. Soon after, I reached out to Compass, let them know about this entire situation over email, and got confirmation that my copay would only be $50. I scheduled my first appointment and three subsequent ones - paying $50 each time. A couple of weeks later I get a call from the staff who runs insurance/billing letting me know there was some miscommunication or mistake and Aetna would not in fact be covering my previous appointments and the amount owed would be substantially higher. I told them I'd like to cancel all future appointments then, given that it was way more expensive. I then got a call from the therapist I worked with (Eric, who was great) asking why I had missed my last appointment. I guess the billing staff I talked to didn't actually delete my appointments in their calendar. He said he'd look into it and see what's going on. A few weeks later, I get a surprise bill in the mail for $490 for the 4 appointments I had. A call with Compass confirmed that yes, I do owe them the full amount. I was told it would be $50 per appointment when I scheduled the appointments (and was encouraged to schedule in advance to make sure I got a spot in their schedule) then was slapped with a bill of roughly $172.50 per appointment. I guess I could only recommend this place if you're 100% sure your insurance will cover it, but even then you better get it in writing or they'll probably try and screw you over like they did to me. In a situation like this, I'd expect the practice to waive the cost as it was their fault in not doing their due diligence or communicating the cost at the time of the appointments being scheduled.
