I am a hair stylist so my arms and back tend to have a lot of pain, I have some carpal tunnel as well. I've gotten a lot of different massages over the years working in spas etc and it was a very relaxing experience but it would always temporarily heal my knots or pain ect. I do see a chiropractor so I know that this is a long term thing I have to fix but my experience with Erin at haw ridge has just completely blown Me away. Not only is she sweet as pie and made me so comfortable but she's extremely talented she made me feel very relaxed and comfortable during my massage and during consultation but the work that she did was not just relaxing but specialized and unlike my other times with massage. I had cupping done and myofascial release plus swedish massage. I left there feeling like butter, feeling amazing emotionally and physically and because of the specialized work that I had done my entire next week or two at work I did not feel the pain like I'm used too. On the day of the massage, we were running a few minutes late with our travels. I texted and told her. She was very understanding and was waiting patiently when I walked in. She was attentive, listened to my needs, and asked the important questions. She provided aromatherapy at no extra charge. Her touch was very nurturing and intuitive. I could tell she cared. I was able to completely relax and trust that I was literally in good hands. The music volume was great... it was very quietly playing in the background. The building and her room are also very quiet - great space for massage therapy. She had me take me shirt off in front of her and get onto the table which felt very unprofessional (I should've left right then). My upper half was left uncovered throughout most of the massage (even when just my neck was being massaged). I had a manual lymphatic drainage after surgery and I've felt worse every day since the "massage". It was my understanding that MLD is soft touch but my practitioner pressed on my abdomen with what felt like her whole body weight. Just pushed- not massaged, not redirecting edema just big abdominal pushes. My swelling has not improved and my once very manageable pain has been significantly worse. I am not someone who writes negative reviews but felt the need to WARN THE PUBLIC. DO NOT GO HERE.
