Yes, an appointment is requested to allow for the individualized care and service you will need. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. We would never walk into a doctor's office, and expect to be seen, without an appointment; it is the same principle. I might add, it is the same care and concern given. Also, the owners have an incredible amount of stock and hard to fit sizes. If they do not have your size/width, they will order it straight to your home. They do have a return policy. This is not your self-serve factory we have become accustomed to, but it just might be that personalized service we remember as a child. And yes, Jacuzzis was in business way back then, and even before that I encourage you to visit their establishment - with an appointment - especially if your feet hurt or you want to keep them from hurting. He took my foot measurement and he even checked my gait to determine the right type of shoe. The guys here are knowledgeable and I think they actually know what they're talking about. The guy I was working told me they actually have a podiatrist that comes and trains them on what to look for. They actually take the time to make sure you get the right shoe...they care about your budget and this place is great for anyone who really needs the right shoe whether it's for running or training. you go to a finish line, they don't give off the impression they are knowledgeable. They tell me to spend more money because more money means more comfort. This place explained the differences in running shoes and that you don't need to spend crazy amounts of money for a great shoe and they have great discounts on off season shoes...great place that is under the radar. The job they did was excellent and they did the work in one day!! For shoe repair it can easily take two weeks. Price was spot on for repair of this kind compared to west coast and Texas. They told me that for future shoes, they could build up the needed 3/4" on the whole shoe. It is great to find a business with this amount of talent.

I have a nice leather jacket that I haven't worn in years because the zipper was damaged. Didn't really know where to take it for repair, so I started by going to a nearby tailor shop. They looked at the jacket and said they can't do it because their equipment would not be able to handle the thickness of leather. Then another customer that was in the shop chimed in and suggested that I try a leather/shoe repair shop. I called Lyndhurst luggage and they said "yes, bring it in!" I brought it in and explained what I needed done and they said come back to pick it up next Monday. Indeed, it was ready. The zipper is a little sticky, but they did say that it's because it's new and that it should loosen up with break in. Also, I thought a little pricey - $60 for zipper replacement, but I have no basis for comparison, so what do I know? All I know is that I'm so glad to be able to use this jacket again.
