These guys not only responded right away (at 9pm Sat, wow!), they offered the lowest rates - they really wanted to help. They showed up as scheduled the next day and started moving right away. We really appreciate that they didn't complain about anything and also figured out a way to navigate thru narrow passages with heavy items - without making a dent or scratch. Talking with him, he sounded very flexible. After I hung up, the text and calls were relentless. He kept telling me to just sign so we can reserve a spot and then we will lock in another time as needed. However, after signing, I told him we haven't heard from our shipping company yet. They require 7 days notice. On the 7th day, I told him due to the memorial weekend, it's impossible to arrive on schedule. He basically said there is a short notice cancellation fee of $200. On the phone he acts like "Hey it's no biggy we will work it out or credit towards the date we give." In writing, he is super strict and all corporate covering himself. So he was impatient and I told him I was uncomfortable signing, but signed anyway. He made us feel like if we dont reserve it, we lose it. Then upon trying to reschedule, he offered the next day and every day but Saturday. In other words, there are plenty of openings and he should have never pushed me to sign because they are not at all booked out. Since he said he would credit upon rescheduling and then said I was short notice cancelling and being charged, I told him, "Just forget it" and decided to hire a less pressure professional company. They also damaged a door. The movers acknowledged responsibility at the time and told me it should be a simple claim to resolve after the move. That was not my experience. Once I submitted the claim, I encountered delays, stalling, and ultimately a refusal to fairly address the damage. The company attempted to rely on a liability limitation applicable to items damaged during transit, even though my claim involved damage to my home caused while their movers were performing services. I explained that distinction and that the damage resulted from the mover's failure to properly follow procedures, but the company refused to reconsider its position. They also attempted to unilaterally "close" my claim based on an internal deadline. More concerning, when I asked for the legal name of the company operating under the College Hunks name--not merely the DBA--I was not provided that information. I also requested the (1) company's Florida moving license/registration information and (2) insurance information, I was not provided that either. This resulted in the loss of my security deposit and footing a substantial bill due to their mistakes, and they refused to make it right. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that customers look elsewhere.

They covered, wrapped and labeled every piece of furniture we had, and did it with care. On moving day, I called an hour and a half into my 2 hour window and was told by someone in the office that I am in the system and someone would be calling me in 10 minutes with an ETA. No call. I called again an hour later and the person told me that he just contacted the movers who had a rain delay and they were just finishing up the other move and would be calling me when they were on their way. I never heard from anyone else that day. I tried calling my moving coordinator, texting and calling the office and nobody would answer or return my call. I finally received a message from the moving coordinator two days later telling me that there was a computer glitch. How is that even possible when I was on the schedule and speaking with people who told me that they were on their way??
