Dr swartz started treating my children as babies, was there for my second pregnancy. Now my children are 13 and 9. As much as I adored Dr swartz, I believe mountain view medical needs to be investigated for fraud. We took my oldest for a sports physical post COVID, yes a sports physical and ended up being charged over $1000 for nothing that had to do with a sports physical. Absolutely ridiculous! Needless to say, after 12 years of being patients, I will never be back there again. read more

I just realized I reviewed my Optometrist this week...guess I'm working on my 50,000 mile check up!! Dr. Annette Hudler provides a caring approach to working with her patients. She is knowledgeable and is willing to take the time needed to answer questions and provide more than just a prescription for the "physical" needs when you visit. The facility is always clean and somehow avoids the medical aromas that usually follow a healthcare environment. The lobby has up-to-date reading materials, which is refreshing....magazines that are 5 years old really don't carry much in the way of relevant information do they?? The staff greets you as if you are a friend, not a customer, and the background conversations are calming since they seem to have a good working rapport that extends past the 9 to 5 boundaries. If you are seeking a practice that cares for the whole patient and not just their symptoms, this is the one for you. read more

Not only did I wait an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment time to be seen, they tagged my visit incorrectly so that they could send me a $145 bill just to be seen for 10 minutes and have prescriptions refilled. I was told because I didn't ask for a physical, they didn't bill the insurance as such. I am a benefits administrator and have worked in a medical office for many years, and we all know that preventative visits are covered 100% by law under insurance. So they intentionally didn't bill my insurance that way to make an extra $150 from me. I got LESS services for MORE money. That is terrible ethics and business practice. I will never go back, and will be making sure all of my staff know not to go there as well. read more

I like Dr. Hudler well enough. I've been seeing her for years and for the most part she's been caring and a good diagnostician. She can be brusque every now and again but we all have bad days. The good ones for her far outnumber the bad. Her nursing staff is good too. Having said that, I am likely changing to another practice soon. It's impossible to get timely appointments. Once I called to get an appointment for a follow up from an ER visit and they couldn't see me for 3 days. Last week I ended up in the ER because I couldn't get an appointment for 5 days. It happens so much these days that I'm shocked when I can get in the next day. She changes nurse practitioners every 6 months or so. Some have been decent. I refuse to see her current one again. She literally shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know my history or what to do for me. Maybe she could have actually read my chart or talked with the doctor! I left the office feeling worse than when I went in. read more

I feel extremely lucky to have Dr. Hudler and her exceptionally qualified staff as my local, go-to doctor. She and her FNP, Wendy Ngassa are always compassionate and understanding to my current medical need, whether acute or chronic. They treat the whole person, not just "band aid" the problem within a 15-minute time slot. Both Dr. Hudler and her staff have worked with my other doctors (in a different state) to provide me the best possible plan of care. Her amazing staff has assisted me in several extreme situations, when care was needed right away, and going to an urgent care facility or an ER was not possible. If you absolutely must go to this practice, do not see Dr. Hudler. On Tuesday I called and left a message asking Hudler to refill my prescription. Three days later, I hear back from the front desk saying she will refill it and they will call me when I can pick it up. They do not call until 3:45 and they stop answering their phones at 4. I missed the call but tried to get back to them at 3:56 and they did not answer. So now I have to go the weekend without my medicine because of this office's horrible time management skills and complete disregard for their patients. Hudler and the people at the front desk treated me like an annoyance when I was trying to get my medicine. She triple books herself so the wait times are long and you will be lucky to get 10 minutes of her time before she leaves. It's truly in your best interest to skip going here all together and drive the short distance to Leesburg to get treatment. I've lived in five states and seen countless doctors but Hudler is the most uncaring and unprofessional doctor I have ever encountered. Do not waste your time. read more

Having been a patient of Dr Hudler for some 15+ years, I can attest that not only is she a gifted clinician but a genuinely caring human being. While on chemo, she called me on weekends to check up on me. My oncologist (Washingtonian's Top Doctors) h=believes her to be the best primary care physician in Northern Virginia. I'll admit, for awhile this was a relatively nice place to go. Dr. Hudler would make unnessesary comments every now and then (My favorite: "You've gained weight since we last saw you, I assume thats not from the medication" Thanks Doc.) but it was still bearable, she was a good doctor. However last summer I had to change practices after being treated like crap by the reception staff. I received a call, that I answered, saying that my physical papers were done, my test results were in and that they were good, and that my paperwork would be read to pick up Monday. I did not go to the office until Wednesday, where I was then told that I was never called, the papers weren't ready, my lab results were not in (which btw would be a HIPPA violation if that was true and you gave the wrong test results over the phone) and treated like I was some immature child that was just showing up on their doorstep trying to get my papers before it was time. The reception staff were condescending, called me "honey" and told me to "chill out Sugar" as I turned away from the desk to sit down despite telling them that if it wasn't done yet it was fine and I could come back. They spent a lot of air trying to tell me I was wrong, for something that could have been as easy as telling me to come back another day. Speed up literaly an hour after I leave and they call me again, suddenly my papers are ready, signed, and my results are magically in within that time frame. Long story short, do not go to this practice. They have messed up things with my extended family as well, some very very serious things I should say, but in the end maybe they'll treat you better than they ever treated me and mine. Two years ago I drove to Dr Hudler's office feeling seriously ill and scared. Because I was a day early for a scheduled appointment her insensitive and rude staff heartlessly turned me away. Crying, I begged for someone take a look at me just for reassurance & was told to go to an ER and that they would call the police if I did not leave. Parenthetically, I was not unpleasant with the staff, I didn't have the energy and was very short of breath. Literally staggering, I left the Purcellville doctor's office and drove to the ER on Cornwall Street in Leesburg where it was quickly discovered that I had a dangerously low oxygen level of 81 hence was hospitalized on the spot. They were incredulous that I had driven to the hospital and in fact would not let me out of bed unassisted. I put in a complaint & never heard a word of apology from Dr Hudler. I had blood work done for a check on my A1C, after 5 phone calls and a month later they finally had time to give my results. Meanwhile my prescriptions ran out and they would not refill until I had more blood work done. How long will I be out of medication before I hear the next results? I am switching doctors in hopes I find someone more concerned about my health. read more

I have been a patient for 7 months. My experience has been up and down...recently down...i have had trouble getting prescriptions refilled for some time... 2 times my prescriptions were sent to the wrong pharmacy one of which was never received,,,( Drs office said they were having trouble with the electronic transfer. i had to call 3 times to have my pharmacy changed to my current pharmacy.This is my forth attempt to have prescriptions filled. They were apparently faxed over on Friday. I went on Monday evening to pick them up...what do you know, no prescriptions had been sent. My pharmacy sent a refill request to my drs office..I called Tuesday morning and spoke with JUDY OFFICE MANAGER....she basically said if our system isn't working for you, then you will need to come pick up hand written prescriptions from now on...That is ridiculous...there is obviously a problem with your system. I asked if she could call in my prescriptions...her response was NO....I then asked to speak with Rebecca (NP)..Rebecca called me back and basically did not touch on my prescription refill problem....rather the one missed appointment i had back in December...i got no confirmation call...then she proceeded to tell me reminder calls are complimentary...but after 5 reminder calls you just stop reminding people?? So, what exactly if office policy? I informed her i was on my way to my pharmacy and i was going to find out what was going on..NP Rebecca said she received a signature verification from my pharmacy that need to be signed and that was what was holding up my prescriptions... I told her i would ask the pharmacy and she proceeded to say i was CALLING HER A LIAR and she was yelling, which my fiancee heard......That statement coming form a provider is unacceptable.. I spoke with my pharmacy and confirmed with paperwork that was sent, it was a refill request not a signature verification.. I also had a mammogram a while a go that Rebecca ordered that on my copy said i needed a 3 month check up....that was never addressed either...I do not recommend this office to anyone with health issues or things that need to be monitored closely. When someone makes a mistake,own it, apologize,all i got from Rebecca was, there are many more providers available.... That there is not a response you expect to hear from a provider....WHAT CAN WE DO TO RECTIFY THIS MISCOMMUNICATION would be more like it, Uncaring of patients situations and allowing JUDY (OFFICE MANAGER) to speak the way she does is appalling...a little pep or understanding in her voice would go a long way, read more

Well, just got 2 pages of my Lyme test results from Igenex mailed to me from this office ; and I've rarely been more shocked in my life! I mean, just the sheer nerve to mark up a patient's test results, especially when they're not intended for you, but meant for another doctor...geez, that's some ego! And then not to take credit for it - not sign it or say who it's from; and of course, just the rudeness of it all... Well, as relations have deteriorated over this year, I can't say i';m surprised. It's just so unprofessional and juvenile...like sending an unsigned note to mock a high-school classmate and passing it around. Glad that wasn't the only copy of my test results. I was treated extremely poorly by the front desk person Heather. She is truly wretched. She refused to look up my new insurance, and insisted that I pay my old copay of $40 rather than my new one, $25. Simply because I did not have my physical insurance card, which does not matter, because the insurance (old and new) is on file. Truly a horrible woman and why they let someone who treats their patients so poorly work there, I don't know. Dr. Hadler is knowledgeable but did not let me complete my sentences and was quick to interrupt. She wrote me a prescription for the a brand of birth control that is not covered by my insurance. I didn't find out until I was waiting to pick it up at the pharmacy. When I had to have my blood drawn, the injection site burned, as if rubbing alcohol had entered the wound. Last year, I saw a NP here, and that was an absolute waste of time. If you do choose to go here, at least see a real doctor. However, I do not recommend this office at all, and I will never seek treatment here again. read more

I have been going to this Practice ever since I moved to Lovettsville in 2010 and have been very pleased with the care I have received here over the years. Most recently, in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy and over the last couple of months, I was treated for a sinus infection, the beginnings of pneumonia & thrush (my immune system is shot!) and everyone from the front desk staff to the nurses and Wendy provided me with impeccable care. Someone else noted the compassionate & caring approach they received at the Practice and I couldn't agree more. Wendy genuinely cares and I love that she doesn't just rush to prescribe medications, especially for her expectant patients. She actually called my OBGYN to make sure what she was prescribing was approved by them as well. She also asked that I call and let her know how I was feeling. Can't beat that kind of care.
