I was in Minden for training and unfortunately I suffered from an "occupational hazard". I came to this urgent care and from check-in until check-out, the level of care and compassion the ladies here showed me was outstanding. The Dr. was thorough with ruling out any emergencies and eased any of my concerns. I would hands down rate them 20/10. I wish this clinic was closer to home. I have used CVH Urgent Care twice now and for unusual urgent needs. I had a surgery at UCSF but was unable to return there to have stitches removed. It was way past time. I went there and everyone was extremely helpful, nice and professional. Brandon NPR removed them with no pain even though they were embedded in my skin. Next visit 45 days later I needed my drain removed from thigh and again couldn't get to UCSF and even though Brandon had never done this procedure before he removed it even though it was stuck inside my leg by scare tissue. Brandon thank me for giving him the opportunity to do a procedure he never had done before. Again ALL the ladies working were outstanding- sorry I didn't get names. His willingness to try saved me pain and anxiety in trying to find a way to UCSF! Thank you Brandon and staff at CVH URGENT CARE!!! read more

I took a friend to this medical center the day after Christmas. She was quite ill and frightened. The Doctors, Nurses and staff treated her competently as a patient, but also, as a person. They were kind, compassionate, interested, knowing and informative. We left the hospital with my friend feeling better, knowing what her medical issue was, how to take care of herself once home, and of course, follow up with her own physician. I just want to send a universal Thank You for intelligently and favorably treating my friend medically, but also (very importantly) personally. This is the worst of the worst if you need to see a doctor. There was NO DOCTOR even there! For Pink eye; they gave me only half the anti-biotic needed and half for their "treatment plan". It took the manager all day to get a callback at finally at 5:00 just to tell me I must have used to much... When I ran out days before their recommended Treatment Plan ended they refused to refill the prescription unless I make another visit ($129). Instead they wasted my time for almost 2 days causing a RELAPSE in my eye infection. Then they made an appointment for me at another of their sites where maybe I could get a discount, just to get the original medication refilled...but no at the last minute they cancelled saying they didn't feel "comfortable" seeing me, why don't you just go to the ER! Now almost 2 day with meds for a 7 day antibiotic treatment! These unprofessional, money-grubbing piece of shit could have cost me my eyesight! I don't feel comfortable having my eyesight put in jeopardy by unprofessional slobs. I had to find another doctor and start over with the infection RELASPING! Bastards!. I have demanded a refund, but will be much happier exposing them in court.! read more

I went Friday night after my Dr asked me to. Just to make her feel a little more comfortable. I have been having chest pains for two weeks after starting some meds after a phone call with her nurse they said it was the meds all the symptoms I was having sounded like it as well as the Dr. That evening. But she asked just to double check or I could wait till I started the new medication the next day. Stated to have then do an EKG that is all I needed just to double check that was all I needed . So we went the front desk at urgent care went and got Mandy it was 7:00 on Friday night no one was there except my husband and I Mandy stated she didn't want to do it she wanted me to go to ER next store that I would need a complete work up. I stated I wouldn't that it was my meds my Dr requested for me to come here just for an EKG just to check that was all I wanted she if it something was going to show onit I would be charged for this visit then sent to ER I said fine. She got upset walk back into her room then came out ask the girl in the front if she could do EKG she said she was not comfortable doing it. Mandy got upset because she had to. They called me back I. Had to tell them all over again why I was there. Then Mandy came in did it again said my meds would not do this!!! And kept saying she did not want to do EKG on me my heart was racing to much I needed to go to ER they were not going to charge for visit so I said this whole time you wasted to my time you were never going to do this. She said you need to go to ER we can't do this. We walked out she told other lady it was best for ME. To go to ER!!! I went to ER they happy did EKG NOTHING WRONG!!! Wow, what awesome people! I got there the other day on Wednesday, October 13, 2023 literally at 6:55 with 4 of my kids (only one needed to be seen) - 5 minutes before they closed and they were so willing to do their job to the fullest right up to the last minute. From the front desk, to the nurse, to the PA. We got it diagnosed and we were right out of there. From start to finish was 40 minutes. My son is healing up nicely. Thank you! read more

I was treated for a bee sting. I arrived with rash, dizziness, numbness on the tongue, low blood pressure and difficulty breathing. I was told I had to put on a mask and wait. The mask made me dizzier, and I began to vomit. They took me back at that point. They gave me an epi pen shot and monitored me for about 6 hours. The Dr. was very compassionate and nice. The nurse was forceful and rude. After release, I only received a "this is not a bill notice" After 5 months I called them, they never billed my health care provider, so it was never applied to my annual deductible, which I needed months ago. Now at the end of the year my bill was never processed, and they expect me to pay the full amount. read more

I have attempted to be be seen here twice. Once for a sinus infection, got there by 5:45pm and was told they were not taking more patients. I understood considering they could be busy. I went today to have my daughter tested for covid-19 and I was denied the test. My daughter has had symptoms for 2 days. The CDC says anyone experiencing symptoms should be tested immediately. I had called earlier and talked to someone about it and was not screen with these questions of when it was the best time frame to test her according to their own rules. I was told to come and no need to make an appointment. It seems that whoever is at the front desk makes their own rules. read more

Jerry L (my wife) wrote a related review the day of service (7-9-18) which was based on that days experience only. I'm the actual patient with the infected thumb and I'll relate my experience. We left with three scripts for antibiotics. These folks did ZERO wound care. The Dr looked at my thumb from about three feet away- no touch, manipulation, cleansing or anything and prescribed two oral antibiotics and an antibiotic cream to apply directly. Felt like wound care would be appropriate but since it was about 40 hours post incident and looked like it was beginning to heal over somewhat I figured he knows what he's doing- I'm not an MD, he is.... So for 6 days I religiously take pills, apply the cream and it stays ugly. I'm an RV guy so by now I've traveled to the Upland, CA area. Beginning to fear my thumb is apt to fall off without further treatment I go to San Antonio Regional Hospital emergency room. I get in there relate my story and they're pretty much appalled by the deal. Dr explains the two pills form antibiotics prescribed were "useless" and not effective for animal bites, ever. They were awed there was no wound care. So they proceed to numb me, reopen the bite, poked around and ensured no foreign matter in there, drained the bloody pus crud, then bandaged me up all nice & pretty. Two scripts for different antibiotics and I'm down the road. That was about 12 hours ago and my thumb definitely is less painful already. I feel confident i was correctly assessed & treated at San Antonio, unlike the treatment I received here. So- I wasted $50 copay (or thereabouts) on worthless antibiotics, drove an hour each way to see these folks and wasted several more hours there, and at pharmacy. I spent a week with some pretty nasty pain and some fear that "I've got some weird infection strain that doesn't respond to antibiotics and they'll have to amputate my thumb and ......" You get the idea. I'm well insured. They'll pay high dollars to these guys for worthless low end treatment that had to all be redone at my and my insurances expense. Not just dollars either- with competent and complete treatment this adventure would be over with. Instead I'm one handed (no thumb pretty much negates having a hand) and still hurting a bit, (though as mentioned it already doesn't hurt as much) for another week or so. So, thinking since they were aware I was vacationing they didn't care cuz I wouldn't be back or is this just the way they "treat everyone". Btw- if I sound kinda angry, I am. Very. Darn, almost forgot, they gave me a tetanus shot. Well.... they gave me a shot and said it was a tetanus vaccination. I hope so... Yup. I'm pretty cranky... we'll see how my follow up visit at my own Dr goes when I get home. read more

Today I had to rush my mom to urgent care because she took a tumble down the stairs and broke her ankle. I walked into the urgent care and asked if they could treat her and they said yes we can take her right now. So I bring her in and start filling out paperwork. We sat in the waiting room for an hour and finally got in to see the doctor just for him to tell us that they don't have pain medication. She was in excruciating pain while sitting in the waiting room for an hour and they didn't have the decency to let us know that they couldn't give her pain medication. Long story short...we definitely will not be coming back to this urgent care. read more

Clean place. Hubby with an infected playing with dog and dog's tooth ripped thumb didn't wait more than 20 minutes. Doctor attended quickly prescribed antibiotics and tetanus shot and we were done. I thought they should have cleaned the cut and dressed it but then again they don't call me doctor. read more

Went in your for FAA medical and they put you in urgent care waiting room with sick people coughing on you. The check in process was disorganized and slow. They have a sign that says let them know if you are waiting over 15 minutes and I had to let them know THREE times. Yes, you read that right I had to wait in the waiting room for 45 minutes with a bunch of coughing sick people. It was miserable listening as they kept calling persons names in front of me and several of the persons came in after me. Each time I inquired the counter gals blah, blahed me with why it was taking so long. Once in the exam room more waiting for the doctor....They need a better system for FAA medical exams so persons do not sit in general sick population. And to make matters worse I think I caught something and am now coughing. A much better and faster check in system for FAA medical exam persons. Bad. They call me and said they would look into developing a better system so I give them credit for that and if they develop a system then I may consider trying them again and good for them for appearing to to care and because they called I am increasing/doubling my rating. read more
