I am a patient at MPT. I started going about 5 years ago. I could barely walk up the few stairs to the front door and probably should have used their ramp. I have been under treatment for nearly 20 yrs with RA. I was having an issue being able to keep my back straight and had continuous horrible headaches. When I arrived at MPT I was afraid I was going to need a brain surgeon because my headaches were so bad. Anne Williams, PT, with her incredible skills, CURED my headaches as well as straighten my back up, today I stand tall:). As time went on, I was back working full time on our farm, other issues occurred. My doctor sent me to a spine specialist, he said I needed rods and screws in my neck and lower back, ASAP. I saw Anne, she felt I had a frozen shoulder and she just kept doing PT on me. I went to see a shoulder surgeon at John Hopkins. He said you have a frozen shoulder. It was my frozen shoulder that was causing the pain down my arm and in my neck. I didn't need neck surgery, I just needed Anne to continue her PT work on me and the shoulder surgeon gave one injection of cortisone and medication to help get me though the PT until the shoulder was unfrozen. My lower back has also been helped with PT at mountainside. Five years later there are no screws and rods in my neck or back:). Anne has straighten my toes (RA related) and has helped me be the best I can be and able to continue to work and live comfortably. I have found everyone at MPT to be friendly, knowledgeable and caring. read more
