Valley Health Urgent Care - Front Royal 65 Riverton Commons…read morePlaza, Front Royal, VA 22630 Urgent care center Stay away. I have no clue why they put "Urgent" in their name; it feels more like a bait-and-switch designed to trap the desperate. There were only four people in the waiting room, yet the indifference there was absolute. They looked me in the eye and ask for my pain level. I told them "Ten', a level of agony that makes every breath a struggle, and they responded with a hollow & scripted "Thank you for your service." It's honestly a sickening irony. I sacrificed my youth and my health fighting in a war that did nothing but fill the coffers of bankers and CEOs, only to come home and wither away in a cold, sterile room while the very system I defended treats my life as a line item on a ledger. Over an hour in & I could hear the nurses outside my door giggling over something, their laughter cutting through the silence of any patients neglect. It was in that moment the realization hit me: Valley Health is just another gear in the same machine. They don't want to heal you; they want to process you. They are part of a predatory system that keeps the wealthy shielded and the rest of us sick, poor, and disposable. I fought for a country that doesn't care if I die in a waiting room, as long as the wheels of industry keep turning. Don't come here expecting care. You are not a patient to them; you are just another service member whose usefulness has expired. I received the following canned response from them: "We appreciate your feedback. When you have a moment, please call 540-536-8122 or email patientexperience@valleyhealthlink.com. Our Patient Experience team would like to hear more about your experience and address your concerns. Thank you." I followed up with an email: My question remains the same: Why is "Urgent"in your name when the definition of the word appears to elude your entire staff? I am not an unreasonable person. I would have climbed onto the MRI machine myself and operated it if it meant ending the agony I was in. Instead, I was left to wallow in a cold room, listening to the casual giggling of your staff outside my door while I sat in level-ten pain. I didn't need a scripted "Thank you for your service"; I needed the basic diagnostic care I am owed as a human being. A quick scan and a referral to the VA would have sufficed. Instead, your facility provided nothing but a reminder of how disposable veterans have become to the corporate healthcare machine. I have reached back out to the Department of Veterans Affairs to formally document this experience. You don't need a phone call to "hear more", you need to fix a culture that prioritizes staff socialization over a patient's excruciating pain. My usefulness to the "system" may have expired in your eyes, but my voice has not.

My husband was a patient there from Jan 9th til the 11th of this month. He was on 4 surgical floor…read more He had a very good experience all the way around. Im sorry i cant remember all the nurses names and aides, but everyone was so helpful and caring. Mallory was the main nurse during the day and i remember another nurse was Christine I believe at night. I know there were others also and im sorry I cant recall their names. They did their best to answer any questions and were attentive all the time. Its hard being in the hospital anyhow, but it makes it so much easier when you have sensitive and caring people taking care of you.Everyone from housekeeping, nurse aides and all were excellent.

Radiology and the ambulance got payed and had no issues. Over a year later Valley Health's main billing department still can not figure out how to get payed and constantly harasses me. Its not that my insurance wont pay its that they will not submit it properly and the VA kicks it back so they instead harass a disabled Marine corps veteran over their inability to to their job and bill properly. I get phone calls and letters over this bill that WOULD get payed if they just submit it properly. I have called them and tried to sort this issue out but they just keep resubmitting without fixing the issue and cant seem to figure it out. I do not recommend this hospital. If at all possible go anywhere else. They have terrible billing and will try to put you in debt you do not owe due to their own incompetence.

I want to qualify this review by saying I'm only reviewing their ER, not the rest of the hospital…read moreas I have no experience there. But I had to take my daughter to the ER while on vacation, which is never fun. The staff were friendly, and we were taken to an exam room pretty quickly. But once we were in the room, it seemed as if we were forgotten. Almost an hour went by before anyone came in to see my daughter, and then only after I went out to ask when she'd be seen. I do understand they have other patients that may have been in worse shape than she was, but someone could have at least checked in on us! The doctor who saw her was friendly and seemed compassionate, but after my daughter told her that she was already taking naproxen with no relief from her pain, the doctor wrote her a prescription for.........naproxen. Sorry, but as a nurse this is one of my biggest pet peeves....not everyone who comes into the hospital in pain is a drug seeker, and to simply write a prescription for something they can buy over the counter is unacceptable in my opinion. Especially when they've told you that they're already taking that drug with no results. So while I was ready to give the doc a glowing review for being friendly, she lost some points when that prescription was delivered by the nurse. Sorry doc, but you really should learn to listen to your patients a bit better. So the hospital gets good marks for friendly staff, but I had to ding them for the long wait with no communication and the screw up by the doc on the prescription.
