Locker rooms and bathroom unavailable, no notification email. Don't live in the area. Disappointing

First time here!! It was super fancy, lots to do! Multiple locations around the valley. Fun equipment the typical gyms wouldn't have. Locker rooms were extremely nice. Had sauna and a steam room. I signed up for a 5-day pass. So far good. I'll see after this week if it's something I would consider joining. They even have a Cafe with Pre, Mid and Post workout snacks and drinks!! A much check out, you can even add to your account credit when making purchases. FYI if you decide to try the trial you will have to bring your ID and leave at the counter each visit. read more

I have been working out over at some of the top gyms in the country spanning form Miami, Fla to Laguna Beach Ca, Los Angeles Ca for the better part of 30 years and have never been treated so poorly as to the way this Gym operates. I enjoy taking classes and good luck at ever being able to actually ever get into a class at any of their gym locations unless you buy a monthly upgrade and even then it does not ensure a spot. Management refused to cancel my membership when I moved out of the area from the other location I was attending for a year and charged me for 5 months of dues without being able to use the facilities s during this unnecessary frustrating process and then have continued to spam and solicite me to re join. Only to be treated extremely poorly over the phone as before when I attempted to reconsider this gym after almost a year. No thank you to a gym that treats their members as they do and have no idea what true customer service looks like in the least . read more

Today I need to give a HUGE shout out to Mountainside staff member TRENT! My man! I left a shaving kit in the locker room with several hundred dollars worth of items in it. I searched and couldn't find it. Trent took my name, and sure enough he went above and beyond, searched every locker and found it! Yay! Saved me a lot of time and money. I switched from EoS and I will say that it's very refreshing here. I was more impressed with their kids club compared to eos. No scheduling and more flexibility on the hours. That was a major plus to me as a single mom. Best decision ever. read more

Mountainside has been my family's gym for about a year and this location specifically is our favorite! The childcare is the reason we picked this gym over any others. My toddlers are well taken care of and never sick from being back there. All the workers are super nice and know our kids by now. We look forward to gym days! I just wish there was more fitness classes at the following times: 1) weekday mornings other than 5:30am but still before 8:30am. I cannot get up as early as 5:30am but wouldn't mind fitting something in before work starts. I've been a member for years and never had this problem until the last couple of months.... The 2 janitor guys come at 9pm during hours of operation and are extremely rude and disruptive to people working out ending their day at this establishment. Not only do they haul around their equipment so loudly I can hear it over my headphones but they peep into every work out room eager to go in and start their duties while people are working out. They get out all of their cleaning supplies and leave it all over the place 2 hours before the gym even closes. I just don't get what has changed and why they don't have the cleaners come when the place closes or before it opens to clean up. They start mopping around all of the treadmills ect and the floor is left wet while people are still walking around working out using the equipment. I don't know how many times they've mopped around me on those machines and I get off and have to walk careful so I don't slip. They start sweeping and you'll have to walk around their big piles of dust and hair... it's every night.... I can't express how annoying it has gotten, it's changed my experience which was once therapeutic.... They constantly peep into the yoga / ignite room every night looking if people are in so they can go in and it's just getting real annoying, rude, and disruptive. I start feeling rushed to get out and it's 9:30pm! And hour and a half before close... They lounge around on the couches on their phones by the locker rooms like it's their living room as well with all their equipment just out everywhere and messy. I've been ignoring it a for a while now but I about lost my shit the other night when I was changing and gathering my things in the girls locker room and I look over and one of the cleaners has his head in the door looking with absolutely NO holler or warning what so ever... these guys just have NO MANNERS... im extremely disappointed it's making me reconsider if i want to keep my membership there if this doesn't change. read more

Terrible place and worst customer service. Gentleman at the front has a BAD attitude. We are here to work out, we are trying to be healthy and trying to live a better life. It's not up to you to turn people away based on how they look in appear. You don't know how we are. I recommend EOS. Even esporta... The only redeeming quality about the fitness center is the bathrooms, and the three rooms that they offer fitness classes. The juice bar makes a mean protein shake. read more

I went to Mountainside this morning as a guest and I had a very bad experience. I was asked to give them my ID for "liability" purposes (not even sure what that means) while I was working out - I did not want to give them my ID because I prefer others not have my personal information (i.e., birthdate, address, etc.) but I provided it anyways, as I prefer not to be disagreeable. When I went to check out, I saw no desk attendant and my ID sitting there right on the counter, along with a document with my name, birthdate, and address that I was asked to fill out as a guest. My ID and personal information were VERY easily visible and and placed in a spot where it would be VERY easy for someone to steal my ID and/or a picture of it, and there was no one there to make sure it wasn't taken or photographed. I did not complain while I was there (because there was no one to complain to), and I just took my ID from the counter and left (which shows how secure my ID was). I'm really really upset about this experience and most likely will not be going back. The facilities were very nice, but I would rather not go to a gym that makes a habit of compromising people's personal info. Also, the staff overall was rude. read more

I absolutely love love this gym me and my kids come literally 6 days a week. The staff is super friendly and always open to helping out. Very clean gym, safe and over all just amazing experience. Side note: when I would go to previous gyms I would feel out of place or like a was in a competition. This gym doesn't feel like that you will meet people of all ages and body types and feel very welcomed. read more

Great fitness center with a variety of weight lifting equipment and exercise machines. It can get crowded, but I can normally find spits to work out. I enjoy visiting the steam sauna after my workouts. The child watch center is awesome. read more

Equipment is decent. However, they need to focus way more on cleanliness. The men's locker room is disgusting. With the amount of elderly people I see here, I'm surprised that no one has slipped and fallen. Puddles of water on the floor in all of the stalls. read more
