We weren't in the cabin long though. We were there for a camp outing. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner was set at a scheduled time that you couldn't miss or you didn't get to eat. Okay the food- the quality of food was very poor. I couldn't eat most of it. For the 4 days we were there. It was flavorless, non washed lettuce, greasy and tasted stale. One night they served fried chicken and fixings. Mine and many others was raw where blood was still in chicken. I think most of us just threw the food away. Unless you were starving. Luckily i took some of my own food to cook. I have never been to this camp before. I would have to say the only thing was bad was the food and the old furniture in the cabin. I pray they will find a better place next year. For our outing.

My child just returned from a week of camp. It was terrible! There was no power due to a storm…read morethe first night. We found out about the outage when other kids posted about it on Facebook...Phones? The staff was busy using their own phones and never took away phones from other campers, as I was told. Our children were not placed in the same cabins. Their medication never made it to the nurse, and so they self administered the entire week. The kids were hungry, and lived off of microwave popcorn and ramen noodles from the canteen. They were placed on the wrong activities, and the staff lied to me about it. My son was punished and placed in girls' hula "for complaining." My son said that he was treated differently because the staff was informed that I had called supervisors with concerns. I am disturbed by the lack of communication, safety, and professionalism demonstrated by this camp and its leadership. I have been waiting to hear back from a staff member from Salvation Army for the last four days. Still no word. Parents-beware!

The…read morescenery is stunning as your surrounded by towering pines and oaks and there's even water on the trail. It's about 2 miles to get to the Ice Cave which was cool (pun intended) to check out, but it was a little underwhelming. Still awesome to see an entrance of a collapsed lava tube where cool air creates a natural refrigerator even if it didn't have that wow factor. There's pretty wildflowers alongside cactus which is cool to see. We didn't see much wildlife but there are horseback riders that use the trail that you may come across. Overall, it was a good easy to moderate trail good for families and with some really beautiful scenery and I enjoyed the trail.
