No salesperson around to help, very poor service. Too crowded with merchandise but at least the 40% sale was good

I am not a a cycling enthusiast (that's my partner's hobby); however I was blown away by the models, brands, and styles on display...great price for great quality. The staff were friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable..They took the time to assist my partner and offered expert advice and guidance on Mountain bikes accessories whereas I was more focused on road bikes (still learning). Overall, I had a great experience. So whether you are a seasoned cyclist or just starting out like me, you should come check this place out.

But you basically just turn in and park underground - or there are also 3 street parking spaces just along sheppard in the front there. The staff here are always super helpful to providing us guidance on things we're looking for - especially if you're maybe unfamiliar with certain gear. They don't seem to try selling you on the fancy stuff and make recommendations based on what you actually need. Sports equipment and active gear will always be a bit pricey but they do have occasional deals that are pretty good. Not really much else I can rate them on. Everything we've purchased is exactly as expected. We didn't save a lot coming here or anything, but service was always good. If it's too expensive, just do your homework and go look to see if you can get it for less elsewhere then. Do your homework when you're spending your hard earned money.

Take this review with a grain of salt-- it's strictly relative to all the other baitshops we've…read morebeen to. That said, the store is objectively quite good. The people who work there are nice (which is surprisingly unusual for a baitshop in Ontario), the prices are good (ditto; its a great spot to stockup on extra tackle and such en-route to your fishing spot), and the minnows are quite vigorous. In our experience driving across Ontario, you usually get to pick one of those things. No other shop we've seen has managed to hit all three. We've gotten fairly resigned to a sizable percentage (sometimes half) of the minnows dying before we get a chance to use them, but that just isn't the problem here. Every single unused minnow we bought is still alive and well in my cooler over a day later, and aside from a few that seem to have died from oxygen deprivation while we were changing fishing spots, we didn't lose any en-route. The only cons are: the place is a little bit hard to find (it's behind the Husky, and in a little corner unit that's a bit hard to spot), and occasionally their hours change a bit. So you may want to call in to be sure they're open at times. Still, the location is handy if you're going up North from the GTA to fish, and they're near Bass Pro (their reputation is good enough that the fellows at Bass Pro were the ones that originally directed us here), so its a great one-stop spot to replenish equipment as well as bait and tackle.

We had…read moreoriginally purchased a cheap volleyball from Walmart but the stitches have started to come out after less than a year. Of course you get what you pay for. Went here as two acquaintances had only good things to say about Canuck Stuff. The prices for the official balls were also lower than places such as Sports Check etc. They sell anything related to volleyball, badminton, etc. The store was quite busy as there were a ton of people checking out shoes and other misc. things. One of the staff Mike was very helpful and helped me find the ball I needed. He asked if it's for outdoor beach and I had said yes. He actually recommended the Mikasa ball which our friend had told us about. I know there were a ton of outdoor beach vballs but we were already set on a particular one. The official Wilson AVP was $44.95. Places selling this usually charge up to $60 range. The price was low at Canuck Stuff as the ball comes flat and doesn't come in a box (they pump it up for you), but rather a light plastic bag to keep it clean & comes with a cloth bag. That's fine with me! Better for the environment. Mike was very patient and kind. Even though he was super busy, he took the time to find the ball as well as answer my questions. He also added a little extra air to the ball and later told me to let some out as it was to help with the shape since it had come inflated. Great service and product. We will definitely be back for any volleyball or badminton equipment. Parking might be tricky on a weekend but I was lucky and found a spot. The store is at the right end of the plaza.

The cashiers are right at the front, then women's apparel is on the left, shoes behind that, children's apparel in the middle, men's apparel on the right and at the very back of the store is all the sports equipment and related apparel. There was a flash sale online and I went to the store to try the shoes on. I asked the employee that assisted me if the shoes were on sale like they were online. She radioed a manager and was told that physical stores do not honour online flash sales. I would have to purchase the shoes online for pickup and then wait several minutes for the order to filter through to the store's system. The wait was actually much shorter than I expected. After informing the cashier that I had an item to pickup she asked me to stand by the metal storage cabinet by the entrance. Another employee came to check my ID, I signed a slip and then I was good to go. Another time I had an item to return and it was quick and efficient. I was even emailed a $10 off coupon for completing a survey.

It's right next to Tim Horton's, but I believe they will be moving to a different location within the mall. I had to do a return here, and while there was only one person in front of me, it took a while. The cashier was efficient. No hassle, just a bit of confusion on the e-receipt since there was no bar code. Be prepared to provide the order number.
