I walked in looking for Camelbak Rogue Light hydration backpack and the Camelbak Hydropak for daily use, priced at $119, and $99 respectively. Amazon sells at $78 and $69 respectively with free shipping to my front door. I bought two pairs of ON Cloudflyer and CloudSwift running shoes the other day at Winners for $119 and $99 respectively. At Sporting Life these were priced at $200. Same exact shoe. Great store will cool stuff #sportinglife read more

Sportlife quality depreciated greatly over the years to the point a Scaucony shoe I wore for a month with daily use has already has the front seems come undone and the front plastic rubber part come off the shoes. Their reasoning for denying a return was "this is just how shoes are." read more

I love Sporting Life!! And welcome to Markham! I have been shopping at their Yonge Street location for years and so excited that they finally opens up at Markville Mall. The store is just so spacious and loves their selection especially their outerwear. Some of the items might be on the pricey side: $3700 for one of the jacket that I like.. :) But there are also more reasonably priced one at 50% off. So many to choose from. This is the place I would get mine. Awesome and helpful staff. read more

Another one star. Late Saturday night and we just needed some gift cards for Christmas. There are at least four young people behind the cash serving no one. We approach one cashier and they all start fighting in front of us as to who isn't going to ring in the sale. Only one girl broke through them and took over. If it wasn't for her we would have left immediately. Outrageous behaviour on display. No supervision. They should have all been fired. (Except the girl that knew the right thing). Last time coming here no matter what. I don't care if the entire store is 75% off. This store is permanently on my never return list. read more

Despite the large size of the store, Sporting Life has a lot of employees who work inside, and it's usually not hard to find one if you need assistance. This store carries a lot of outdoor and sporting essentials, and thanks to the large size of this store there's a lot more variety than other Sporting Life stores. The prices can be a little bit on the high side, but honestly it's around the expected range for outdoor clothing. If you want to have an awesome deal inside Sporting Life, come during any of their major clearance events (Black Friday or Boxing Day). Again, service is excellent in this Sporting Life location despite the fact this place gets busy and the fact this store is quite big. You can easily find someone who can be of your assistance, and I found the cashiers to be quick and efficient in processing your check out. read more

As a former "regular client" of the Sherway store, I went to this location in early July (we got a second property in the Markham area) to inquire about a Canada Goose Burnett Jacket but was informed it was out of stock. The nice SA (Allison - I think) who was assisting me got my details and had me on her waiting list. 3 weeks later she gives me a call to tell me my jacket is in. I went back, tried the jacket ,along with other styles that I kinda liked, but in the end settled for this one. My original SA wasn't in but was helped by two great dudes (one tall Asian guy wearing glasses and one tall south Asian guy). I highly recommend this store due to the great staff who go the extra mile to assist. I know they earn some sort of commission (as explained by my regular SA at Sherway) but I never felt rushed or pressured in making a purchase. Staff are very nice and people will DEFINITELY be willing to help you in any need. This is the only store where you find Canada Goose and a whole bunch of other big brands! They offer a lifetime program which is awesome because if you spend $350, you get $20 card to use in sporting life, and when you hit $2000, you get $50 back! If you are also looking for a job to work at, you should consider sporting life. They hire people every year, but most of the workers are teenagers... Sporting life is definitely a place you would not want to miss. read more

Placed an online order for expensive sunglasses which finally arrived...they were used and obviously returned. Fingerprints all over the lens and no packaging, they were just put in an unmatched soft case. Really disappointed that Sporting Life would do this. Of course trying to get hold of their customer support is brutal during this time as well. read more

The quality of their products are BEAUTIFUL!! They have beautifully decorated areas and separated areas fit for outdoor sports of every kind. From Warm Winter Jackets to skiing and snowboarding supplies to Hershel bags and Swell Bottles. What I love the most about Sporting Life is the quality of service and the knowledge of the employees that work here! You are able to try things on, but the employees don't show any sign of disappointment if you don't end up purchasing the product. They're there simply to help you out! I would agree with others that this place is a hit or miss in terms of service. I think if you're looking to purchase merchandise its a great store with great products and variety. However the repair store is a different story. I purchased some skis from another retailer and brought it to sportinglife thinking that I could trust their service as I invested quite a bit of money on new ski equipment. The first time I had dropped them off they told me it'll take a week for servicing which is understandable as its winter and peak season. However, one day before pick up they called me saying they couldn't install my bindings and to pick up my skis. When I pick it up I asked what the issue was then got new bindings. Second time around with the right bindings I drop it off at their store and then moments later they call me and tell me they can't install it. I'm now left here wondering if they just couldn't install it to begin with. They referred me to another ski store which was able to install my skis in 15 minutes which left me in complete shock. I think going forward I'll go to a specialty ski and snowboard store for any service and just purchase goods from sporting life. read more

Bar none, the best customer service that we've ever received. If you are looking for advice on snowboard/ ski gear, I would highly recommend visiting Adrian at this location. He is the manager of the hard goods area and he's extremely knowledgeable. He is very patient and he takes the time to educate you. We did not feel any pressure to buy. The store did not have what we were looking for in stock so he made several calls to get us what we wanted and he also price matched a competitor. If customer service is as important to you it is to us, then Adrian is the person you want to deal with. read more

Came in the first day it opened and I will say it was moderately packed but for good reason. All associates on the floor were there willing to help if you needed a size or just had any general inquiries. They were all also quite friendly and approachable - initiating conversations, making small-talk, asking if we were finding everything just fine, etc. The space is huge and they had plentiful arrangements of luxury brands with great prices - all seem pricey but obviously you are paying for the brand names and material if you are willing to shed that kind of money, by all means do so but be smart with your wallet! Because the store just opened, all the garments were new and mostly untouched - throughout the year I'm sure most things will have been tried on at least once but honestly, I'm so glad and thankful they finally brought a Sporting Life here in Markham - as I always had to venture out to Sherway Gardens just to be able to grab a new jacket for the Fall and Winter seasons. Great addition I must say, to the Markville mall. Definitely will recommend this business to all my friends and family. read more
