My wife saw the rave reviews on Facebook- so we decided to make a quick trip down to this area for dinner and a stop at the General Store nearby (closest place to pick up River Rat 3X sharp cheese). It's both a tavern and dining room. They had Covid precautions fully in place and we were impressed, since it's a small out-of-the-way town. We both had the pot roast. She had a pot roast sandwich with salad and I had the pot roast mash up. The food was a bit on the salty side and chewy. The other patrons were speaking very highly about the other dishes. The staff were some of the most accommodating and helpful that we've seen in a long time. We would come back for the great service and try another dish. read more

The staff is great, super friendly. We've been here twice now, first time we had the chicken fingers and burgers and fries. The chicken fingers were delicious. The burgers a decent 6 out of 10. The fries look fresh cut but are chewy not crispy. The second time we had the chicken fingers again because we liked them so much the first time and we had the Tuesday special, pepperoni pizza and a dozen wings. Now here's were the disappointment came. The pizza was horrible! A 2 out of 10, and the only reason it's not a 1 out of 10 is because it wasn't burned. We suspect it was a frozen factory pizza, and not one of the best quality. The wings were okay, but me personally I like it when the skins are a little crispy, and these were anything but. The place is packed with regulars so we probably picked the wrong dishes. And we have nothing bad to say about the service cause that's great. But the food could do with a little upgrade. read more

Tuesday's its 12.99 for a one topping medium pizza and a dozen wings.. you can't beat that and the BBQ wings are AWESOME!! Oh and have I mentioned their Thursday Sizzleres are really awesome as well!! All in all its a great place to have a drink, have dinner and bring the whole family! We bring all our visitors here at least once during our stay. We had friends from Germany stay with us last summer and they kept wanting to go back, so we went three times during there stay. While this restaurant and bar truly feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, when you walk in you know that you've arrived somewhere special. The old building is oozing character! The staff is all friendly and accommodating. The food is AMAZING! Everything I have tried is very tasty and what a value for the price. This is an affordable place to bring the family and portions are very large. (They seem to hand out a LOT of to-go boxes!) While the place does have a full bar, you have the choice to dine in either the bar side of the establishment or the more formal dining room area. I have not seen the bar area get rowdy during dining hours and the tables on that side is usually where I sit with my three children. The menu is larger than I expected, with many starters, salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers and full dinners. There is a daily special every day. Try their baked potato fries as a side with your meal. I visited as a first timer while visiting friends in Upstate NY for a birthday on 28Sep21. Wow, I was impressed. My friends ordered their Steak centered entrees and I requested our Server, Kelly make all my decisions for me from Starters to Dessert. An Italian cheese bread, The Mountain View Steak and a dessert worthy of the 17minute wait they give you as a heads up for the cook and prep time. Great conversation with other guests, Staff and Owner/Mgr.A great environment and meaningful, fun deco inside bar seating area. We spoke of Dogs, Cats, Horses and....stuff. Great food and the service was even greater. Above all, we felt welcomed. I see a motorcycle road trip from Texas back to Atlanta in my future soon. read more

This wonderful place has the best staff, with management and waitresses who genuinely want your experience to be pleasant. Drove an hour away for their Sunday chicken and biscuits. Everything served was good except for the chicken. The chicken was mostly dark meat, the white meat was dry, and everyone was so shocked that the chicken wasn't pulled and mixed into the gravy. We will not be coming back. read more

I ordered the prime rib special and got a plate full of fat. Not impressed. Very drab environment and not sure how anyone could rate this place with 5 stars. The highlight were the beans that came in a skittle and they were delicious. We've routinely taken our our New York vineyards wine with us and paid a cork fee. This evening however the owner came out and stated " you bringing your own wine is illegal" and made a very rude comment to us. Need to check why so many restaurants in New York allow this and why it's illegal in atlanta New York. Will not be back and definitely do not recommend. read more

I took my wife to Mountain View for Mothers Day, first time we've gone there. When we arrived there were three Harley's out front and my first thought was I hope this isn't a biker bar. But as soon as we walk in my concerns were gone. We were met promptly by a friendly young lady who seated us right away. The food and service were excellent, the dinning area was clean and pleasant, a very nice atmosphere. My daughter, son and his wife were also with us. We ordered quite a variety, Loaded Nacho's, Bruschetta Scallop's, Manicotti, BBQ Chicken Sandwich, a Bacon Cheese Burger, etc... there were no complaints, everything was delicious.
