I had a car accident and when I asked someone to explain what I was signing, they never said that would refuse to put my car back again if I didn't agree with their estimate and the insurance company's decision. They wouldn't allow me to pick up my car and that I had to have the insurance company's permission. I owned the car!! When I gave up and accepted the insurance company's decision and offer, I went to pick up my personal belongings and vented how upset I was. When I asked the guy leading me to my car to not speak to me at all, he used foul language. The receptionist was nice when I first arrived. I brought my car in after I hit a snowbank and damaged my wheel well and door. I explained the alignment was also off and was told an alignment was standard after the body work was finished. The alignment was not done! I drove home and immediately called but Mountain View Auto Body brushed me off. After calling twice I brought the car back and informed them of the noise when turning. I was told I must have gotten into a second accident! Mountain View Auto Body did not test drive my car and did the minimal work required. I was told to bring my car to the dealership!! What happened to the Gold Service from Mountain View Auto Body brushed- I guess this is what happens when local businesses get too big. read more

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CAR! this place is beyond awful. They kept my car for 7 weeks and it wasn't even in a collision. All they had to do was clean some overspray and replace trim parts. They blamed the insurance company, they blamed the parts supplier, never once took responsibility for such an excessive repair time. And the best part, when I picked up my car they ruined the windshield and windows with a power tool. Scratches everywhere. Now I have to go through insurance to repair the damage these fools did to my vehicle. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere. Dont come here. Worst customer service and service I ever had. Returning customer and they set up an appointment to pick up my car when supposedly finished. After paying the deductible(in cash unless you want to get charged 3%) they attempted to return me my car with the rear view mirror hanging from the windshield by wires. Upon noticing the mirror, I refused the car with new damage that was done while the shop had custody of my car. The body shop then told me they could give me a ride home while they repaired it as a courtesy since the damage was not their fault. Even though the damage happened while in their custody. This is where the gaslighting started. I was then told I needed to wait while the repair was done. I asked if they would warranty the repair in case the mirror were to randomly fall off later since it was a rush repair while i waited. (Driving or moving the car with the mirror dangling could cause more damage to the wiring or the mirror.) They refused and had me wait over 3 hours and continously accused me through numerous people in the shop gaslighting me that the mirror was installed wrong 7 months ago when I had the windshield replaced. Bottom line there was new damage done to my car at their shop and they refused to acknowledge it and tried to return my car with the new damage. They would not take accountability and treated me poorly while I waited for over 3 hours and had to miss working. No apologies and pure gaslighting and deflection. Even the receptionist and other employees helped gaslight and tell me how it wasn't their fault. I had to threaten to call the police before they continued to repair the damage when they threatened to not do it and force me to take the car as is. Never been treated this way by a shop that I paid for thousands worth or repairs at. No respect and no consideration and no consequences for terrible business practices. read more

Had car worked on there. When I dropped off my car I asked to get a little help with the fee I owe from my insurance spoke the owner mike and he said ok. When I get the call to come pick up I wanted to verify that the deal is still on and I get told no so I ha e to go back and forth for some time till he agreed made my first payment as agreed. But had lost my wallet so I had to report it being gone I let mike know via text his answer was not my problem you have till Wednesday to pay or I am taking you to court keep in mind that was today's away. I get a text on Wednesday morning from mike saying he's giving my one last time to pay before he filed. I replied that I told you the other day I lost my wallet and I'm waiting on my bank cards to come in mail he said. Not his problem. I had nothing but a great experience with these guys. My wife had got into a tiny fender bender, so the insurance company sent us here to meet with the insurance adjuster to inspect our car. They had us wait in a very nice waiting area with nice comfy couches, a TV (with a remote to change the channels) and a single cup coffee maker. While waiting, the staff here were extremely nice a hospitable. When the insurance adjuster was done with our car he said we could go to any repair center. Seeing the way Mountain View Auto Body's customer service was we naturally wanted to go here for our auto body repairs. A few days later we dropped the car off; again the staff was super friendly. They even called the car rental company for us, when we arrived so we had little waiting time. Four days later they called us up and told us the car was ready to be picked up. I was very impressed on how quick they had our ca repaired. When we picked the car up, they gave us an extremely detailed invoice on our repair. the invoice gave a whole breakdown of how long each step of the repair took and the cost of each part. I liked this because it makes it a lot easier to understand why the price of the repair is what it is. Our car was in a secondary lot. Instead of just handing us the keys and making us walk there, they picked up the car for us and brought it right to the entrance. As for the repair work, let's just say you would have thought they had a undo button to repair our car (Ctrl+Z for all you computer nerds). Even the paint job was a complete match! Along with washing our car they also put on tire dressing for that extra touch, which they didn't have to do. I bought my car in first thing on Saturday to get an estimate. Michael "Mike" was very nice and I only waited a few minutes to be seen. He took a look at my car and said I would need a new bumper. He told me the price range I could expect in the quote that he would later email to me. As I left the shop, he claimed he would have the quote to me within the hour. Five hours later I still did not get the quote so I called and Michael said he would have it to me soon. At 3:45pm I called again and they were closed. They're also closed on Sundays so I called first thing on Monday morning. I spoke with Michael and he said he was just working on my email quote and he would have it to me in a second. At 4pm I still didn't get the quote so I call and leave a message on Michael's voice mailbox. Eventually I get an email from Mountain View Auto but the quote is 45% higher than what Michael said it would be. I'm not exaggerating the amount. It was insane! I called Michael to make sure there wasn't some sort of mistake. Sure enough, he's conveniently forgotten the amount he told in person and thinks I'm mistaken. I obviously am not using their services but if you are considering going here, do not leave without a written quote. Michael in particular looks healthy enough but he has the memory of a 90 year old. read more

This place is awefull!!! Do not trust your vehicle with them. maybe for a small scratch, but anything involving a major repair, do NOT use this company. I was in an accident, the front of my vehicle was pushed onto the motor. I brought my vehicle into Mt View with major front end damage. Amado the shop foreman runs the place. He told me he runs it and the owner is never there. Also while i was there at a different time Amado told a different customer the same thing when she asked where the owner was, and Amado said that the owner is never there and he runs the shop. He refused to let me contact the owner. My vehicle was never fixed correctly. They state they have a lifetime warranty. Their warrenty is worthless. I brought my vehicle back and they still didn't fix what they didn't fix the first time, and they did not fix their 1/2 fast work. The doors were not aligned correctly. After Mt View so called repaired my vehicle . I told them my vehicle was over heating, Mt View said no nothing wrong with it, its my imagination. i had to bring my vehicle to the dealer immediately after the repairs were done on it. The damaged fan was replace by Mt View, but they did not replace the broken fan clutch. Again the front end was mushed onto the engine, so both items were damaged, they only replaced one. When Mt View was working on my vehicle they called me up because they could not get the steering wheel to be centered with the steering. I had to bring it on my own to another shop, (wheel alignment shop) to have the alignment done correctly. They never replaced the self adjusting arm on the ac. I told them that, and when they had the vehicle the 2nd time, they still did not replace it. The self adjusting arm was bent from the accident. They repaired the passenger side door,the window is binding up. The suspension was not adjusted correctly. And the cheap radiator they used to replace was an additional cause to the overheating issue. plus a list of other items When i talked to the lawyer, and the state of nj, I then called Mt View to get their insurance information to start the legal process. Who ever answered the phone refused to give me the info, even though it is law. Then she put Amado on the phone. At first he refused to give me the info, then finally gave me the insurance info for Mt View. Few days later i received a certified letter from the owner stating if I had a problem i should have contacted him. Again when i asked Amado how to contact the owner, Amado said he runs the shop and the owner never comes in, but once i asked for their insurance info because i was going to take legal action against them, the owner contacted me. My vehicle over heated, and with the list of other issues my vehicle has been parked and not driven since. . If you do NOT want the same thing to happen to you, do not use them. And after 3 years the paint in the door pealed and my vehicle started to rust read more

They fixed my bumper. Did a poor job at it. They also took everything out of my trunk including my spare. When they finished they literally threw my donut under the trunk and jammed everything else in there as well. The damaged my donut and the owner Michael was not man enough to admit he was wrong. These guys are one the best out there! I always believe when coming to auto repairs and body work, you have to pay the price unless you have a close relative or friend in the industry. I've been here twice when I had to had body work done through insurance. They are not cheap but do high quality work. They are also extremely knowlegable and truthful. I brought my pearl white maxima here a few years ago. They replaced and repainted my entire rear bumper. I didnt notice a difference at all. Even when I returned my car when the lease was up, the dealership didnt notice it had been replaced. These guys pay attention to detail. I had a car accident a few months ago and my insurance suggested I get the car towed there at the Wayne location. Biggest mistake ever. First of all the price quote for fixing everything was ridiculously high. So I called and asked if I could just get it towed to my mechanic. They said yes ok (my insurance company who also has an estimator working on site there) . Well my car was supposedly delivered to my mechanic and when I called my mechanic he said they never brought the car. So I called again and they insisted that it was and that my car was no longer there. Finally after a few phone calls they (Mountain View) tell me there was a mistake and the car was never picked up and tried blaming the tow company for forgetting to pick up but my car would be first priority the next day. Which would have been fine except you already told me that the car wasn't there. So a few hours go by and I got suspicious and drove up to the lot to make sure my car was there and it was. Expect for the fact the hood of the car was open and in the back of the lot. Me not thinking anything of it I closed the hood and went home. Well when I got the car back the passenger side door was missing the switch that opens the window. My mechanic took a look at the car and the hoses for the windshield wipers and water pump were also taken. I paid $431.00 to replace what they stole. When I called I was told by a very rude woman how they don't touch the cars that they are just parked out in the lot and nobody touched my car. Well then how did you give me an estimate if you didn't touch my car?! You guys are really messed up. That's $431.00 taken out of my pocket when it could have went to my kids that I'm raising on my own. That not be a lot of money to you seeing that you steal from people but it's a lot of money for me. I'm not stopping at YELP with my experience. I recently got work done on my 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque P250 S and having had work done previously from them on my 2015 Lexus RC 350 I am very please with the work. Ur having gone through my insurance the first time for my Lexus I thought I'd receive the same service and pricing. Although comparing the 2 receipts for the completed work it seems that when I went through insurance for my first repairs the pricing was more favorable for painting and labor per hour than when I paid out of pocket myself. Other than that and being contacted more frequently the first time I went through them with my insurance than when I paid out of my own pocket. It seems like the pricing and service contacts are more preferable and prevalent when going through insurance rather than paying out of pocket when one would think it would be the opposite. But in regards to the actual work done on my vehicle I can't complain because it looks as it did when I purchased the car so for that I am extremely grateful and would recommend them to friends and family for work on their vehicles. read more
