I have been to Knob Hill Ranch on two separate occasions now, and both times were just beyond…read moreanything I could have expected! The first ride was a 2-hour sunset ride with my sister and niece, and the second was the 4-hour Wranger Special all by myself, only 3 weeks later, because this place is just that fun! All ranches that offer horseback riding are not equal. I have been to a couple ranches where they simply run it like a machine with little to no respect, having horses ride constantly throughout the day with little rest. Knob Hill Ranch takes a different approach, and after sitting with Madeline and Michael for a length of time after my 2nd ride, I learned that Knob Hill is on a different level than most ranches you'll encounter. Horses at Knob Hill are treated with such compassion and care. A horse only rides once a day, and that alone was enough for me to know I can trust the way this ranch is ran. They have a deep respect, for not only the horses, but the land as well, and you will feel it as soon as you get there. There is something sacred under the lands surface, and it feels as though the ranch is operating in such a beautiful way, because they're mirroring the sacred beauty and elegance that lies beneath the soil. Oh, and it's worth mentioning, they host equine therapy on their land as well, along with sound baths for folks. I mean, this ranch is dabbling into all things that revolve around healing and cultivating a calm and peaceful environment. Once you experience it, how could you not want to go back?! And for me, it's a 6 hour drive each way, totally worth it. After reading this novel of a review, it is clear this ranch is operating with a deep heart-centered intention, so they're not surface level folks running a machine to make money. And, if you're tired of surface level conversations about sports and weather, like myself, these are the folks you can dive deep into conversation with about life, and leave the surface level topics behind. They're providing an area on Earth for us to connect not only with horses and nature, but ourselves. Much gratitude toward Michael and Madeline!

Super clean, easy & delicious! Highly recommend. My high schooler loves it here!…read moreThanks Jarason & Carl

At least they didn't show it . The price ($200 pp) was reasonable considering we rode the horses for an hour and a half. We went horseback riding through the Indian Canyon. Beautiful views around the palm trees. I even wanted to get off the horse and hike around LOL. They do ask for your height and weight when you fill out the agreement form. The guides will match you with a horse that is obviously suited for you. I was apparently matched with the grumpy one LOL. Still a cutie pie! I was definitely nervous since it was my first time riding a horse. Our guide was super sweet and very helpful so that helped ease my nervousness a bit and It turned out to be an amazing experience and I'll definitely do it again!

They asked me if she was a barker and I said "no", keeping my fingers crossed. They allowallowed us to go in. It was fantastic! So many different scents and sights for my dog. She was mesmerized. My point to this review is to say the people that run this place are super nice even for someone like myself that didn't ask to go riding. We're going back again in the fall. Oh.. she didn't bark!

It's still a great ride on these Magestic animals, couldn't be too disappointed because I truly wanted to jus ride. It's been so long, since I was a teen since I've been on a horse and my heart needed this. I've always wanted a stable full of horses, hey, a girl can dream. I'm so mad bc I cannot remember our trail guide but she has been working there only for eight months as of 4/18/26. She was the best and easy to talk too. We loved all the horses! I got to ride Ranger and he was so hungry during our trail ride. Had me thinking, do thy feed them lol but I just let him do his thing and she did as well. We all just let the horses eat and chill too while taking the trail ride. We wanted them to enjoy themselves too! My man rode Mega and he's huge! Also, he's their youngest horse and I cannot remember the name of the other horse but I did ask their ages. Many horses live around forty years and Mega was seven, Ranger was 15 and the horse guiding us was 20. It was such a nice day to ride. Don't come here having to use the bathroom lol. My one complaint about the trail is their lack of cleaning it! There was a toilet that has been there on the trail a while, I'm not sure if someone dumped some fish eggs on the trail, there was a little patch that they need to clean asap! They're probably just use to it and might not notice but there and lots of flies over it and I'm not sure why someone wouldn't want to take pride in the trail. I'm hoping this review will help them get there. There are so many things to make this experience even more beautiful and memorable. Thanks for the ride!

I went with my partner (both our first time) and experienced a awesome instructor teach us the basics, give us opportunity to train more or get into the ride and talked about the horses, local area, and different offerings. 10/10 recommend if you haven't ever gone or want to go back. Me and my mom went to Pathfinder Ranch for a few days in the winter for a field trip and it was so…read moremuch fun! First of all, our naturalists name was Kestrel. She was amazing and made sure that we were all having a good time. We did many activities such as archery and canoeing. All the naturalists put down very strict rules to ensure everybody's safety. Here is a list of all the activities our group did (keep in mind that the activities that your group will partake in will be different depending on what your school bought): making a fire activity, compass activity, night hike, shelter building activity, rock climbing, team challenge, farm, herpetology, mad science fair, gold hill hike, canoeing, horse back riding, and archery. This is the schedule that I went through. Lights on was at 7:00 am, but some woke up earlier to shower. Then breakfast began at around 7:30 and went until 8:00, then we went to do one activity with our activity group after a 15 minute break period. After that activity we would go to lunch from around 11:45-12:30 (I don't remember the exact times those are just an estimate). Then we would go do two more activities with a 15 minute break between the two. We would have dinner around 5:15-6:00. After dinner we would have 1 hour of free time to talk with our friends or go play in the rec room (you should bring a card/board game to play with your friends, I brought twister!). After the hour (so around 7) you would do a night activity. One example of this is the night hike. After the night activity, which is normally an hour long, we went to bed. Lights went out at 9! The schedule was so compact that me and my friends were never bored. Something was always happening, and you were always having fun! The cabin situation was as you would expect for 30 or so kids in one room. It was really chaotic. I would recommend bringing some ear plugs, because the talking was no joke. In the middle of the night it was funny, but once you had to wake up at 7 to go on a 3 hour long hike it wasn't anymore. In each cabin, there were two wings where students would sleep, with one chaperon sleeping area in the middle. Each wing had about 15 bunk beds. In each cabin there were also two bathrooms, which all contained three stalls, three sinks, and three showers. The bathrooms were very clean which I and everybody else who had to use them appreciated. Now for the food. For the taste, it was a hit or miss. Here is a list of some things that we were given (I might have forgotten some): fried chicken, pizza, burgers, tacos, barbecue chicken, pasta, brownies, cookies, and s'mores. The only two meals that I didn't like were the fried chicken and pasta. I did appreciate the salad bar that they had available for any kids who didn't like the food served though. They had a system of having a kid chosen everyday from the table to serve as the "waiter" (they were called a hopper), which I liked as well. If the pitcher needed refilling or there wasn't anymore food on the table the hopper would go and take care of it. Overall, the whole experience was super fun! Though I barely got any sleep, it was a small price to pay for all the fun I had with my friends. 5 stars, will definitely never forget!!
