It was our first time doing a horse trail ride and the best one yet! I believe Alex was our guide. He was very accommodating and very fun to be with. He kept a good steady pace for us in the beginning then let us go for a full gallop at the end. I absolutely loved this experience and hope to come back soon with the hubs again! My husband, 15 year old daughter and I had the best time here today!! We took a 2 hour trail ride with Alejandro and three of their very well-trained trail horses! The trails were wild and you could imagine what the old cowboys and settlers felt riding through wild California! There were also lots of hills and drops - adding to the excitement! TOTALLY AWESOME! This was my second time horseback riding and it was sooooo much fun. In an age where we are buried in our iphones and often planted in front of a television screen, it was so nice to get out in nature and experience the "wilderness" that is Perris, CA. I bought a groupon for my BF and so happy we were finally able to use it this past weekend. We did a Saturday 5pm ride and there were a total of four in our group - us and another couple. It was my BF's first time riding and Alejandro made sure that he felt comfortable with all of the instructions. The other girl in our party had a hearing impairment and was wearing a special type of hearing aid, so Alejandro made sure her riding position was one that could allow her to hear well, and also allowed time for her partner to translate for her. The ride was smooth and easy. Not much rocky terrain and the horses were all very well behaved. Alejandro made sure to stop at certain points for pictures, and overall, did a great job as our guide. You can tell he really loves his horses and loves what he does. Rancho Bravo left such a positive impression on me because of the intimate family feel of the ranch. Alejandro's little girl Jennifer helped show us the way to the bathroom inside the house and his son rode in the back of our pack and helped us get on/off our horses. This was such a great experience! I had only ever been horseback riding once before, but they made me feel so comfortable while on the horse, mine was a little stubborn. The scenes were beautiful and despite the heat, we had a fantastic time. My only complaint was that we should have taken a break for our sake and the horses sake. On a 2 hour ride, I found myself dehydrated and sore, not to mention my horse seemed exhausted (we were the third 2 hour group of the day). There Are so many cute places on 6th street, they should have it where you ride 50 min, break for 20 (food, water, beer) and then ride 50 min back. Overall, owners were down to earth and great, horses very tame, nice scenery. Make sure you pay attention when driving up, we missed the place because it's in the middle of a neighborhood. Also you have to have someone in your car open and close the gate for you to drive through and park. read more

Everyone complaining on here is complaining about the deal and reservations and not the actual EXPERIENCE. They are very busy and may give you a late date cause they're always booked. Had the most awesome and authentic experience here! The area was very secluded and rocky but that made it more authentic. Our guide knew exactly what he was doing and made us feel comfortable around the horses before we took off. Made me want my own! They're treated well and very taken care of. Me and boyfriend went for a noon riding and it was a lovely experience! ***it was a little hot I would recommend wearing a hat big enough for sun blocking!*** I started off a little clumsy being a first timer and all but it slowly got better and better! The dogs Chicle and Zeiger do greet everyone as they arrive & Zieger keeps a look out for safety throughout the entire ride. They're both loving & funny. I had so much fun! Dominique was our guide and she did an excellent job at making us feel comfortable. Before taking off, she gave us a little introduction and answered all of our questions. I got to ride Joe. He was a little stubborn at first. He tried to turn around and go back to his post. lol I was nervous at that point, but she helped me direct him to the rest of the group and once we were on the trail, he did great. Now lets get to the fun part! The trail she took us on was amazing! Felt like we were riding though a scene in Princess Bride. lol Going up the steep hill was a little scary, but the horses are so gentle. Crossing the river was a fun experience as well. The horses are well behaved and so sweet. I'd highly recommend Rancho Bravo to anyone and everyone. I admire how knowledgeable and passionate Dominique is. We went on the two-hour moonlight ride last night and had a truly magical evening! The full moon cast plenty of light, even though it was a bit cloudy. I was initially a little anxious about going out at night (my horse didn't have any headlights lol), but quickly settled in for a great ride and even trotted a bit. The two hours flew by! After our ride was complete, the owners, Alejandro and Lisa, invited us to join their family (they have GREAT kids and Lisa's parents were there too) for a campfire with hot chocolate, s'mores and a sing-a-long. What great hosts! I can't say enough good things about Rancho Bravo and we're looking forward to booking our next trail ride with them. read more

I just got home from a 2-hour ride my husband got off Groupon and it was AWESOME! Our guide Alejandro/Alex was very friendly and informative, he made sure we were well taken care of. His wife and co-owner gave us a wonderful, clear beginners lesson for horseback riding before we started off. Then Alejandro took us to scenic spots, got off the horse and took pictures for us. He made sure we were comfortable with the trails and speed. I admit I was a little nervous about going downhill because it was pretty steep, my horse Sparkle liked to trot (I might've been too gentle with pulling the brakes) and I have a very bad sense of balance, but I got a lot more comfortable halfway through the trail ride and it was a lot of fun! Near the end I enjoyed trotting (as long as it wasn't downhill!) even if I had a sore bum haha. Their horses are very well-trained, gentle and well-behaved. Also very well-taken care of. My husband rode another horse (I can't remember its name) who was also very well-behaved. He had a lot of fun and even got to gallop up a hill because he was so comfortable. (Not me, I waited at the bottom of the hill and made sure my horse didn't follow!) Nevertheless my husband had a TON of fun. Alejandro also threw in a bunch of obstacles to keep things exciting haha. We got to jump a log if we wanted, do the limbo... he made sure to keep things varied and interesting. We also got to see coyotes (which the dogs that accompanied us had fun chasing) and dropped by a watering hole for the horses to have a drink. Oh yes, the owners' wonderful dogs accompanied us throughout the trail ride, and it was fun watching them running about. Random note: Near the end of the ride we passed the guide and his wife's house and we saw PUPPIES! After our ride we asked if we could play with the puppies and Alejandro very kindly said yes. Alejandro and his wife Lisa are wonderful hosts. They also have bunnies, a cat, and chickens! As an animal lover, I was in heaven. All in all, Rancho Bravo is a WONDERFUL place to do trail rides. The owners are very friendly and it is easy to book an appointment via text with Lisa. She will also contact you before your appointment should weather conditions be less than optimal for a trail ride. For example, she informed me about winds well before our appointment and offered the option to reschedule. However we had gotten there early and had brought warm clothes, so we decided to go ahead. Loved loved loved it! My boys and I went and had a great time. Alejandro, the ranch owner is a super nice guy and very fun to be with. He was able to teach us everything we needed to know in 15 minutes. I had 10 and 14 year olds with me and they were able to easily understand what they needed to do to have an enjoyable and safe ride. I love that they only take unto 4 or 5 riders so the ride is very intimate. We rode for one hour and did not see anyone else. The property is really beautiful with rock formations and views that go as far as the eye can see. Getting to the ranch requires a long drive down a dirt road, but once you get there, it is all worth it. We will definitely be back! read more

If your a 1st timer then I highly recommend this place. If you have young teen children that love horses but have never riden, I highly recommend Rancho Bravo. After careful consideration from other places within Riverside County I decided to roll the dice and try this place out (based on the reviews I read). It was by far the best decision. I wanted to surprise my daughter for her birthday because she loves horses but has never been around them. When we arrived I saw her eyes light up because she saw the horses and this brought me so much joy. We were met by Alejandro and Jay and of course she realized we were there to ride (I told her we were on our way to pick up a puppy). She was so surprised and could not stop smiling. Alejandro made us feel so incredibly welcomed by talking to us about his Property and animals. We were a party of 4 total going on the trail ride (we didn't know the other couple) and Jay along with Alejandro were very meticulous with assigning the best horse for each of us based on our inexperience. Jay then took over and took his time teaching my daughter on how to handle and "drive" her horse. Jay was so patient and understanding with all of us which is a rarerity now a days. Alejandro and Jay took us out on our ride. Jay led while Alejandro stayed with my daughter and I. Once my daughter was comfortable, Alejandro left but not until he was sure she was good. I booked a 2 hr. Ride which actually lasted longer and during our ride Jay continuously made sure we were all accounted for and no one was left to far behind. There was a beautiful flat area halfway on our ride where Jay suggested we take pics. Jay of course took the pics and never rushed us at all. He never said anything remotely close to needing to hurry back because we're going over the allotted time. Upon our arrival back, Jay allowed us to see the rest of the horses before leaving. If you're in a situation where you are a 1st timer or want to surprise someone special like I did. Then this is without a doubt the place to go. The booking process was so pleasant as well. Lisa took all my info and answered all my questions and concerns prior to even booking a ride. Which I thought was beyond exceptional customer service because I had not booked a ride just yet. Once I finally told her I was going to book she gave us a discount which was a bonus for me. The arrival was very exceptional too because Alejandro and Jay made us feel very welcomed right from the moment we exited my truck. We plan on returning to Rancho Bravo to once again enjoy another memorable day. Beautiful scenery, beautiful weather, awesome guides and customer service. This was THE BEST trail ride experience I've had. I took my boyfriend as a suprise. He has never really ridden a horse so I was anxious to share something I use to love doing with him. Alex was our guide. He took the time to teach us all the proper ways to ride Western and how to maintain control of the horse. Then we were off to the trail...but it is not a trail you've ever been on. It's not perfect and flat and the horses don't just follow like they have no mind of their own. You go up and down the slopes of the hilltop, around bends until you get to a beautiful view of the valley and beyond. You become comfortable riding and practicing all the techniques. We walked, we trotted, we laughed and just had a wonderful, comfortable time. The horses are beautiful and healthy and you can tell they are well cared for. I did not know they were so popular and tried booking it Wednesday for Saturday, but we were lucky that there was a cancellation Sunday and Anna booked us right up! :) Very friendly family! Very impressive to see their intense knowledge of their animals from the smallest child! Alejandro was a great teacher and very kind with us as we were getting the hang of riding. The trail was gorgeous! Not simply a linear smooth surface, an actual trail, but the horses (Little Joe & Chiquita Banana) were very patient with us while the Chicle, Zeiger , and Kuma (dogs) made sure the path was safe to walk! This was by far the best horseback riding experience I've had! From the booking process to getting off our horses at the end of the ride, everything about this was excellent. I purchased a 2-hour trail ride from Groupon and was a bit skeptical because all the other rides for the same amount of time were significantly more expensive. But after doing a bit of research and seeing all the high marks on Yelp, I decided to take a chance. I'm so happy I did. Alejandro was a great guide and super patient with us. Since the group was small, only 4 of us, he was able to give us each personalized instruction. I've only been on a few other horseback trails before, and not recently, so my riding skills are definitely not anywhere close to even a beginner level. The trails I've been on before were all great and I had fun, but what made this experience so much better was that on all the rides I've been on before the horses seemed to be so used to the trail they would take us on and so used to taking strangers for rides that it was almost like a pony ride attached to a lead rope in one long slow line. Yes, they were enjoyable because you get to see beautiful scenery while being carried on an animal so intelligent and majestic, but also kind of pricey for the time given. This ride was different for a few reasons. Alejandro took time to figure out which horse would be great for each of us personally depending on our experience level and comfortability around the horses. The trail itself was scenic and varied. There were hills and curves and flat areas and rocky areas. You really got to feel like you had control of the horse you were on. I had fun with my horse! We sped up and slowed down. We backed up and turned around. He tried to test me and stop and eat the flowers along the trail even though he knew he wasn't supposed to. Horses can be intimidating when you don't know what you're doing. And I was at first. But after some more instruction and commendation from Alejandro, I really got to feel like I almost knew what I was doing. I will definitely be recommending this to everyone. And I'll be returning for sure. I cannot speak highly enough for Rancho Bravo. Thank you for a great time!!! read more

Alejandro was a wonderful guide in that he was very knowledgeable, took personalized time with each of us in training (we are beginners), and made the ride lots of fun! I cannot explain how awesome this place is!! If you're looking for fancy boring rides this is not the place for you! We were tired of the nose to tails unexciting rides. This place is the one for you! It does not matter your experience they have a horse for you! My niece and I went together, she's been to a few horse camps and I used to ride as a kid we were both equally amazed and entertained! We opted for the two hour ride which was breath taking! The views were outstanding! We didn't run into anyone else out there. We literally had the mountain to ourselves! It was honestly one of the best days of my life! The trail dogs were so friendly, don't forget to rub their bellies!! I rode paco! He was wonderful, just the right amount of challenge and responsiveness! I swear if I couldn't have taken him home I would have! My niece rode Banana (had a longer name but I cannot recall sorry!) she was a stubborn fun mare that provided a bonding opportunity and confidence builder for my niece. We are already planning to return in the near future! If you are on the fence don't hesitate this Rancho is everything the reviews say it is! Oh one last thing, kindness and well taken animals is huge to me! This owner respects and values their animals! Their animals love and respect them back! I bought a 2-hour groupon for my daughter's 15th birthday and she loved it. Her birthday was March 30 and we had to book an appointment at the end of June. No big deal, but it was hot. Luckily it was a morning ride, so the weather wasn't too bad. Word of advice: If you are using your GPS, turn it off once you turn onto River Rd because it will freak out and have you drive into a mobile home park. Just stick to the road for over a mile or so until you reach a fork and the pavement ends. The gate will be on the right at the fork. Alejandro is friendly and helpful. If you're an experienced rider like my daughter or never been on a horse, they will make sure you learn the basics and enjoy the ride. Helmets are required for riders under 18, which they provide. Get there at least 10 minutes early, as they may leave without you or cut your ride short. My daughter was complaining of body aches after the ride, but claims it was well worth it. read more

I got a groupon deal for a 2 hour ride for 2 people at $50. It was difficult to get ahold of someone to make a reservation, but once I sent a text instead of calling I had no problem. My mother is in town visiting from out of state, so I really wanted her to see some of the scenery before she goes back to snow on the east coast. The ranch isn't very well marked, but if you follow the directions they send with your confirmation you'll have no problem. I used to work on a horse ranch and rode almost daily, but the two other people I went with weren't quite as experienced. Alejandro was wonderful about showing us how the horses were trained to respond and gave us all a short lesson with the horses he picked for us. I had Little Joe, a Tennessee Walker, and he was awesome! Alejandro had us trotting and cantering in some spots. We saw a beautiful little lake and crossed the river. By the end of 2 hours my booty was a little sore, but it was worth it. I will definitely come back with friends and I highly recommend coming to see this cute little ranch. The horses are well taken care of and seem very happy. I also really enjoyed that the two ranch dogs, Ziger and Chicle got to accompany us. This was a beautiful experience! During the 2 hours ride, I think we went more than 10 miles in 2 hours. We went up the hill, there was a park, then went up a steeper hill. Riding down hill was definitely unforgettable! It was scary but manageable. Beauty loves to trot! She is such a good horse to ride! The owner who was riding another horse was so nice! He got off the horse, and offered to take pictures of me and my friend. Then brought us to scenic trail on the hills. I scheduled my ride for 3:30pm and watched the sunset on the hills on the way back. The scene was so romantic! Love it! They also take care of their horses! Amazing! That's the first word that comes to my head when I left the ranch. We had no experience riding or even being that close to horses, but Alejandro made the experience very easy and fun. We arrived just in time for our reservation. The ranch isn't labeled but the direction was very clear as to how to get there. We had signed up for an hour ride for 2 people for $25 each and had texted for a reservation a month before (just in case). Alejandro started off by teaching us simple maneuvers to get the horse moving, turning, and braking. And then we were off. I had Sparkles. She was a calm pony who loved to trot now and then which spiced up the ride for me and made it very entertaining! My boyfriend had Kika who was the youngest horse there. This was so much fun! I had never been on a guided trail ride and it has been years since even being on a horse but Alejandro was easy to learn from and very patient. The training lesson is brief and covers everything you need to know because the horses are so well trained. Alejandro makes you feel very comfortable and caters to all different experience levels. This is a beautiful quiet ride through the hills with crossing some shallow water. It can get pretty warm in the afternoon. The horses seem very happy and well trained. Alejandro our guide was excellent. We were all beginners and he made us feel comfort. He picked the horse for each rider based on the size, age, and experience of the rider and temperament of the horse. He gave specific hints how to manage each horse based on their personality. This made the whole experience so much more pleasant when you feel like you are interacting with the horse and not just sitting on a horse. read more
