Where do I start? Terrible, terrible customer service from thieves…read more I recently purchased a new house that had a propane tank on the lot from these bullies. I wasn't informed that it was their tank until I found a business card of theirs that was dropped on my welcome mat with some threatening words written on the back. They were threatening to come and pick up the tank if I didn't call them immediately. So I called them and arranged for them to come and pick up a check for $21 for the three months rent on the tank that I hadn't paid (because I didn't know) and they tried to bully my fiance into signing a one year contract with them, locking in a price of over $3/gallon (and back dating it to October 1st)! So he didn't sign it and offered them the $21 saying that we would look for a different company and Drew Krechnyak (the rep from the company and part owner) refused to take the check and said if we don't sign the contract they will come and pick up the tank. My fiance told him to leave and explained to me what happened, so I called the office asking why they didn't accept the check for the back-owed rent. The woman on the phone told me that they won't leave their equipment on our property without a signed contract. So I told her to send me the contract so I could review it, knowing it was some kind of scam they were trying to bully me into. When I received the contract, I couldn't even read the contents of the contract! I mean, look at the pictures for yourself. How can they expect me to sign something I can't even read and verify what I'm signing?!?!? So I was taking the paperwork to my lawyer to see if she could decipher what the contract was stating, and in the meantime, I get a threatening voicemail from the lady saying that they are going to come and pick up the tank if they don't hear from me in 24 hours, while I was in Mexico on vacation. This was literally Thursday 12/21/17. I get home on 12/22/17 and the propane tank has been picked up off of my property. They had no right to take the tank with gas in it that I paid for and they had no legal reason to be on my property without my express consent. I didn't have a contract with them and they came onto my property while I wasn't there and stole over $300 worth of propane gas from me. Crooked thieves. They want you to do what they try to force you into, otherwise they will steal what you own right out from under you and leave you destitute without warmth in the dead of winter. Do not do business with these crooks. They will find a way to screw you over.

Ace One offers contract pricing to keep it the same throughout the year saving you money in the long run. They do NOT demand you fill 150 gallons when they come out like the other places which is good when funds are tight. They are always polite and will show up in a jiffy if you happen to run out. These tanks cost allot of money and take for ever to break even at $6 bucks a month. Very nice family run company. Others crying about threats? I read the card nothing bad there, just a business man collecting a tank if not wanted. Sounds like someone was broke.

I recently purchased 2.6 gallons of propane and was charged a $4.95 Hazardous Materials Charge. When asked the cashier responded, "this company charges a flat rate standard charge for propane refills". I have been a customer of Western Propane Services for many years. They never charged a Hazardous Materials charge for propane refills. To be clear, I didn't dispose of anything. I brought in my 20 gallon tank for a refill. I highly recommend going elsewhere as this makes the price of propane much higher than it should be. I paid $16.69 for 2.6 gallons of propane. Approximately $6.42 per gallon with their BS fee added. They are also closed on the weekends now. Go elsewhere. U-haul at 7422 Garden Grove Blvd is 1 minute away. They do not charge a Hazardous Materials fee and are competitively priced.

They now charge a $5 hazmat fee for just a regular propane tank refill which normally would cost only $11 with tax for a 3 gal refill. Now, it's a 50% price increase with the stupid fee each time just to get a small refill. Also, they're now closed on Saturdays. Time to look for a new place.
