It stops and after looking out of my bedroom window, I don't see anything, so I hop in the shower to get ready for work. I hear more crashing and banging. A huge ruckus. Over the sound of the shower. When I hop out, I take another look out of another window. From this new angle, I'm astounded. This huge tractor trailer was parked practically at my front door. This shouldn't be, because I have that driveway blocked off with a fence and the main road goes well around my property. Not to mention the numerous *no trespassing* signs. So, I run outside with a towel on my head and in slippers to discover that the driver of the truck, had torn down my fence, driven up my property, and parked themselves squarely in my driveway, right next to the no trespassing sign. Well. What to do? I ran out, and no one was to be found. I started snapping pictures of the truck and the info and plates. CA4689. The truck number on the drivers door. 5G41924 were the plates. Hertzig paving, oiling, Moke Hill, it said. Ok. I had to get to work, so I figured I'd call the boss later to complain. I had no more time to waste, so I finished getting ready for work. As I was leaving, I saw a man on the road on a tractor. I stopped and asked him if the truck on my property belonged to him. He said yeah. And that he had no where else to park it. I asked.. How is this my problem? What makes him think he can tear down my fence and park where he's in my driveway, obstructing it, and next to a no trespassing sign nevertheless? And also, that I expected him to remove his truck from my property. He stated that he refused to move the truck. I told him he would remove it within five minutes or the Sherrif would be called to see that he did it. He said.. Fine b*** I'll move the d*** truck! And he continued to cuss as me as he went away on his tractor. Though we had been side by side, he pulled directly in front of my car. As I was trying to leave. Deliberately blocking me though the road was wide enough for me to pass him if he moved back over. I finally got around him with some risky maneuvers. He almost made me late. I don't know what else to say, other than he's lucky I didn't call the Sherrif, and that it must have finally sunk into him what he'd done, because when I got home from work, the fence was back as if it had never happened. My driveway is still tore up though. And I can't believe this company would employ such an unprofessional character to represent them. Beware. Obviously their staff is not trained in customer service, with a dirty mouth like that, I'd be wary of having anyone from this company around my property or family. Also, I'm posting the pics I took this morning as proof. There are other companies that don't allow their staff to behave this way. I'd spend my money on them first. You can be sure everyone I know will not do business with this company ever!

Following in the footsteps of his teacher and mentor, Joachim Groeger, the now 98-year old reigning Pope of such things, Scottie nurtures, repairs, maintains, restores and modifies classic airhead BMWs to the highest standard. He is expensive. The best people usually are. But he's an artist, and he's worth what he charges! Old BMWs often run for a very long time with little care and attention. If you find one that's been neglected, and you want it to shine again and run free, bring it to Scottie and turn him loose. If you have a beautiful, restored /2, do the same. You won't regret it!

I hired Scottie's Workshop to restore my 1967 BMW R60/2 with Steib sidecar. The project took…read moreroughly 20 months and cost about $33,000. Scottie quoted ~12 months for the work initially. The contract signed states the bike will 'ride and function perfectly' when finished. Within 37 miles of getting the bike back, the front brake completely failed when the adjustment nut came off, the sidecar mounting hardware began gouging the sidecar body, and the bike developed multiple oil leaks/seepage concerns. What concerned me most was Scottie's response to the brake failure. He acknowledged in writing that the original BMW brake design has a known characteristic where, if the cable becomes too loose, the adjustment nut can rattle off. Photos from when the bike arrived at his shop also show additional brake hardware that was no longer present after restoration. He used no loctite to secure the bolt he knew was dangerous. His explanation was that his goal is to return bikes to factory-original configuration and remove non-original or "superfluous" parts. He oddly has no problems putting on other non-stock parts (vape ignitions, brake pads, etc.) I understand that a 60-year-old motorcycle requires maintenance and may have quirks. But a complete front-brake failure and new sidecar body damage within 37 miles after a $33,000 restoration are not what I expected. Scottie also stated in writing that his shop offers no warranty and that with antique vehicles "there is no expectation of longevity or safety." After I said I planned to obtain an independent inspection and repair estimate, he terminated the relationship and said the shop would provide no further assistance. Based on my experience, I would not use Scottie's Workshop again. Do not hire this man. As you'll see in other reviews, Scottie is condescending to customers who have problems with his work. He implied that I was not mechanically-able even though it is his mechanic work that immediately failed. Called his other customer a 'penny pinching crybaby'. Scottie, you are a dishonest person. Will update.

He gave me way too many choices for new fabric, but did make a suggestion that helped me narrow down and finally choose a wonderfully regal deep purple chenille. It took just about 3 weeks and I have a gorgeous comfortable chair, what a difference! He also took the last piece of fabric and fashioned a lumbar pillow as the chair is deep and some of us short folks need it! Thanks again Alan!

If you bumped in to Mr. Ziffel on the street, you might think he's either homeless or a biker. Spend a minute talking to him, and you'll discover that he is in fact a brilliant metal fabricator, and a super nice guy. Take a drawing of something you want made to Ziffel and they'll make it. Seems like they can make just about anything. Don't be in a big hurry to get your stuff done, that's the thing. Ziffel is a GREAT guy, and a talented metal guy, and he works on his own schedule. If he says it will be ready by Friday, just plan on NEXT Friday. Keeping that in mind when taking a project to them, you won't be disappointed. Your patience will be rewarded by the item done right! I have had items blasted and coated and they always turn out excellent. Absolutely superb! Just don't expect anything done fast.
