Angel and Apex automotive were a great car maintenance shop for my 2020 toyota corolla my splash…read moreguard was hanging off and they got the job done installing a new one. From start to finish Angel was a great help and excellent customer service he makes sure the job gets done and won't screw you over with prices. They were extremely cheap and affordable. One thing that I loved was that even though I came to get my splash shield replace they still did a car diagnostic check which was very thoughtful they even send you a text of the diagnostic and before and after of the maintenance work so you know you aren't getting scammed. I definitely will be bringing my corolla back here again for any car maintenance.

Hands down the best service that I have received from ANY repair shop in my 59 years on earth…read more First call: Angel started giving me lower cost options, ie wasn't trying to upsell me. They were able to take in my car the very next day. The service: I received texts with photos during the entire diagnostic process - amazing. I had a problem with warning notifications that another place had told me was because some sensors were going bad. Nope. Angel fixed it by just replacing the battery. The sensors weren't getting enough voltage... I had the brakes done, brake line flushed, and battery replaced in a few hours, and the car was ready to be picked up the same day - all at a great price. Angel was a pleasure to work with. Customer for life.

My brother found this place on Yelp. I had seen it too and we both agreed to check them out. I have…read morean older model Subaru and I happened to be in the area and stopped by. Juan offered to look at the issues I was told by the dealership I had. Some of the items the dealer said I needed Juan was upfront and said it wasn't necessary or could wait. He agreed with a few issues (brake pads was #1) and two other items he will address next week. Once I left the business, I felt a sigh of relief. I didn't feel played or taken advantage of. Juan never rushed me and explained things in a way I understood. I appreciate him and his staff. I just got my brake pads done today and next week, he will complete the other items. If you need automotive work done, you owe it to yourself to go to G&J Auto repair.

I debated on writing this, but I thought it would be good for consumers to know…read more I reached out to G&J for a quote on a transmission fluid change on a newer Chevy Tahoe. They QUICKLY reached back out and quoted me over a $1000 for the job, while Elk Grove Chevy quoted me just over $700. I knew this job entailed dropping the pan and working around the exhaust. Something that is really easy to do once on a lift. All in all...a 1.5 hour job, and that's a BIG stretch. I shared this dealer quote with them, and it was basically shared with me that I should go there (not in a rude way). Well, obviously I did. The moral of the story for me and for others should be, DON'T assume ind. auto mechanics will be cheaper than the dealership. I ALWAYS want to support local business, but I will not support local businesses when they can't do a job at a fair price, and I feel like the trend with specialized labor has been leaning way towards a place it never used to be.
