Had a great lunch at Baldi's and arrived safely home from vacation. When I asked my personal mechanic what the repair should have cost, Mike's charges were at the very low end of the dollar range. I had taken my wife's car into a different shop to get a set of tires and an oil change. The previous place botched the oil change by not securing the oil cap properly causing oil to spray all over the engine compartment. I took it back to them to get it resolved. Turns out that they also did not properly secure the engine protective plate and left the plate flapping and dragging on the ground. At this point, I was done with the previous place. I saw very positive reviews about Mike's Garage. I called Mike, he responded right away, said to being the car in. Mike fixed it in less than 10 minutes, and also gave me a useful run down on a few other items on my wife's car. Coming to bear valley for a relaxing weekend and on our way up, ran over a large metal piece that's immediately punctured my tire. Stopped at the gas station and realized that my tire was losing air fast and panicked. Friday at 5:15 pm, who would be available? Called Mike's Garage and it was obvious that he was trying to get a lot of things done. He was extremely polite - but his pause and eventual - I can help you if you get here soon - was really a lifesaver. He patched the hole in under 30 minutes. My family and I are travelling around the USA in an older RV. We have some family in Copperopolis and our rig needed some tlc. Mike's Garage was recommended to me by another mechanic in Sonoma. Mike's attention to detail and honesty were a breath of fresh air. If he came across anything we didn't discuss previously he called before doing any work. The RV left his place feeling the best it had since we left the east coast 6 months before. 3 months later we were back in town and stopped in to say hi. He swapped our front wheels around and again noticed a small detail about my tire inflation that had slipped past me and other mechanics too. a bad valve stem on my truck left me stranded on the side of the road with an infant. my phone call was answered quickly and due to my tire size he said he may not be able to fix it but even offered to come to where I was parked. since a friend showed up a few seconds after the offer I figured I'd take the tire off and bring it in. as soon as I pulled up he came out and took the tire had it fixed within 5 minutes and loaded back up. I will definitely not hesitate to call mikes again. he seems a little brash for some peoples liking but I want someone to cut the bull and shoot it straight. that's exactly what he did. thanks again mike's!!! read more
