Many a skier finds themselves driving back on I 70 asking themselves, "where will I eat?" The signs whizz by and compete to catch your eye. You pull up your phone and stratify a mental list of restaurants with quantitative measurements. Your head swims and you collapse... You wake up back at home, hungrier than ever. You begin to gnaw at the stubs of your fingernails again... Let's cut to the chase. Just go to Mountain Mamas'! I, Ricky Sausage, and Sausage Brochacho and Cornelius Sausage stroll into Mountain Mamas' after a long day of skiing. We are immediately transported to the home of our collective grandmother. It is Christmas time here and we know that some good ol' home cooking awaits us. We are greeted coolly and invited to sit. We order our food and our drinks are brought out promptly. Speed! Sausage Brochacho has ordered the drip coffee. In between slurps, he ponders, "I just love coffee after skiing. It raised my spirit to the moon." His eyes glance heavenward and you can tell a portion of his soul has permanently ascended... In a good way! Cornelius has ordered the iced tea. As he guzzles, he offers, "these are fantastic marshmallow-shapee ice cubes." I have ordered the fluffy latte. The description of ingredients and creation process captivated me. I'm not a sweets guy, so I went out on a limb. I'm so glad I did... This latte was like drinking liquid clouds from coffee mountain in the midst of a cinnamon drizzle. We are in a faraway land - grandma's house, sipping hot beverages after playing in the snow... But wait! The food is here! Sausage Brochacho has ordered the chicken gnocchi soup. He smiles with soup dribbling out of his mouth. "The soup is hearty. The chicken is savory - I can tell he (or she) was a happy chicken. He (or she) didn't know the end was coming." Cornelius has ordered the chicken salad sandwich. "The chicken salad is good... I love the toppings and the croissant was fantastic. I never grew up eating chicken salad..." He wistfully stares into the past. Poor young Cornelius... I have also ordered the chicken salad sandwich. For some reason, I often attribute chicken/tuna/etc salad sandwiches to simplicity. This sandwich added a rich complexity with the addition of onions and tomatoes on a delicious croissant. And a little slice of grapefruit for a spritz on tartness..? Don't mind if I do! I must remark on the incredible bathroom. It felt like an enchanted forest where any frog could walk up and talk to you. The log lady portrait was a cherry on top to transport you to another land. I became the log lady lost in another world. Mountain Mamas' was a random pick within the happenstance of dropping into Georgetown. We were delighted by this wonderful surprise. By the end, we felt at home with the staff bringing out some coffee and iced tea to go. We could guzzle all the way home! Part of Sausage Brochacho's soul is now missing and Cornelius is partially trapped in the past, but it's all for the best. We WILL be coming back on future I 70 trips. Thank you, Mama Mountain!

Friendly staff in this trendy cafe. Tried the Ruben's sandwich, which was very tasty. Great spot for a bit of lunch after a trip on the nearby railway.

I was in Chocolate Cake heaven!

The best artichoke dip I've ever had--creamy, flavorful, and absolutely addicting! The prime rib special was cooked to perfection, and the chocolate cake was pure heaven. Huge shoutout to Matt behind the bar for amazing service and Kim in the kitchen for crafting such delicious food. Hats off to the whole team at Mountain Mamas for an unforgettable meal!

This staff here couldn't have been friendlier. I walked in carrying my baby while my husband waited outside with the dog. I ordered a few baked goods and the waitress insisted on helping carry them out to our table and getting us waters. She also offered us a dog treat. A bit later another staff member brought out water for the dog. Then I needed to warm up some milk for a bottle, and they were happy to assist. So friendly and happy to help! We had a pumpkin muffin which was delicious as well as an apple cider donut. And sat at a patio table right on the river. Can't beat it. They also were very into Halloween decor!

It's 2026- and several years later, I can still confirm this coffee shop is sooooooo adorable!…read more Spring 2026 menu features the strawberry shortcake latte or matcha- you should definitely get it! It's mixed with Biscoff cookie butter and strawberry jam, yum!!!

I don't even know how long it's been since I first got to know about this mountain town coffee…read moreshop. It's been on the "must go" list for a while but I finally had a chance to visit it on a beautiful mid-February day today. It sure was worth the drive and time all the way from the south Denver. The moment I stepped inside, the warm welcoming atmosphere was sensed. As soon as the lady upfront greeted me cordially, I felt more comfortable and relaxed. The instantaneous gratification hit me where I almost uttered "I am glad that I took the time to come here!" I wanted to peruse the menu. To my "Give me a moment" statement, the kind lady said "Of course, take your time. We also have a Valentine's Day special drink right here!". It was a white chocolate based mocha which sounded quite sweet so I asked her if it was sweet to which she said "It's very sweet but we can always adjust it to half the syrup!" All kinds of considerate words were made in each of her reply. I decided to go simple today; I went with the drip coffee which comes with unlimited free refills. The lady gave me one of the cups and told me where the pot that contained the drip was located. Alongside the pot, there was a super mini refrigerator that contained two jars of cold milk: one is half and half and the other is oat milk. What a kind care the shop does to keep them chilled. The simple drip coffee was just what I needed; it hit the spot. And tasted clean with no burnt notes at all. Quality coffee indeed. As I was immersed in this review writing in the ambient setting, the shop started to fill with guests. Although it's so tucked in this little mountain town, there appear to be "coffee fanatic fans" that know this place. And like me, I assume that many of them are not the local town folk. There is no wonder why they are drawn to it; they know where to find great coffee spots. I loved every single bit of this cozy place. My recommendation is only one of the multitude of others that know this place.
