Used the $8 dollar washer and it was done in 20. Dryers got hot enough to get my load dry but did use 2 of them to make good time. Only a dollar for 20 minutes so it worked out. Chill environment and the clerk was there for any questions. read more

As there is an abundance of dry camping in the area, this place offers showers to the public. But for $8? Scandalous... The women's showers were filthy. Definitely bring flip flops. Maybe some Clorox wipes. The whole establishment was very filthy even though a female was pretending to mop the floors. Parking is around back. It's kind of awkward getting there eastbound. I visit Leadville frequently as there's family in the area. In the past we have spent a lot of time and money here. Today we stopped in and I was planning to wash some clothes from the week and curl my daughters hair quick before her senior portraits at Turquoise Lake. Upon arrival, while my daughter plugged in the curling iron, I discussed plans for my other kids to pass the time and sent them out to get my wallet so that I could send them to get ice cream nearby. A woman came out of the shower area holding her phone on speaker towards me and trying to tell me that her manager was on the phone for me. When I said hello, the owner told me that we could not be there unless we were paying customers and her manager had told her that we hadn't brought any laundry in. I stated that we had just gotten there and I was still getting my family situated but that we were about to put a load in. The owner responded by saying that she was on her way there and would be there in 5 minutes and that if we weren't gone, she would be calling the police and charging us with trespassing. So, apparently they don't need or want business and would rather harass and threaten potential customers. Such a disappointment in a community I've always known to be full of kindness. read more

*The shower in the restroom by the entrance does not work!!* There is no sign marking that it is broken but it will eat your $8 and when you take it up with management they'll ask you to put your name and number down for a future credit, which seems like an easy way to make $8 off all of the people just passing through... don't waste your time or money here. read more

It's the only game in town for laundry. Most machines on working order 5 of 20 dryers were out of order when I was there. The showers, I've used in the past, but for the price and cleanliness, it's a pass. I've started using Lake County Aquatic Center instead. Half the price, clean, no time limit, Hot showers...though it is a locker room shower. read more

My wife and I travel 6 months a year and have been coast to coast, Alaska to Mexico and whole lot of places in between. We have used laundromats in all of theses travels. This place is as nice as it gets. Very clean, including bathroom. Out of 22 washer only 1 was not working. Only 2 dryers out of order. They had every size washer you could want. Many many machines were out of order. Including the unmarked one I unfortunately used. Every out of order machine was surely a disappointment to at least one person, that's how they find out its out of order. The attendant, who is not always around, was not even empowered to refund the $7 for the big washer and didn't seem sympathetic about the detergent sitting on my dry clothes (the machine didn't dispense more than a quart of water for the load, or any for the rinse cycle) for 15 minutes. read more

I asked her a question and got a shoulder shrug but yet she can yell at me for trying to use the wrong bathroom which I had no idea was the wrong one. I wasn't here for laundry, but I have definitely seen better laundromats. I was here for a shower, which is an awesome service to offer in a mountain town! After a few days of camping, it was great to get cleaned up. Adequate shower facilities and a very reasonable $5 charge. read more

When I was there (in July 2016), out of eight dryers, three were working. Some washers were down too. I get that the repairman is a long ways away, but you can't make any money if the machines are all broken. And more important, being this is the only laundromat I know of for quite a ways in any direction, that makes it hard for people to get their laundry done.
