We have used Belmont Clean + Restore a couple of times at our home. They are excellent and I would…read morehighly recommend using them! They are friendly, on time, and most importantly do a wonderful job at cleaning carpets! Since we had a new puppy this summer our carpets were pretty stained from the little guy... after Belmont came to our home the carpets look as good as new!!! Many thanks!!!

Clean, green, professional…read more We moved into a rental townhouse with old carpet that had probably never been cleaned. There were pet stains of all sorts, various attempts at spot cleaning with uneven results and one high traffic area that was really dingy and matted. When Joel was finished (~ 3 hrs for 1200 sq ft), there was a night and day difference. Nearly all the pet stains were gone, the ones that remained, as well as the high traffic area, were barely noticeable. The Belmont process is a little different, and worth explaining. There are 4 categories of carpet cleaning methods 1. Steam cleaning - hot water injection/extraction 2. Bonnet cleaning - chemical spray, carpet agitation, extraction 3. Dry cleaning - powder applied to carpet, agitated, extracted 4. Dry foam or shampoo - foam driven into carpet via agitation and then extracted Belmont's 5 step process is a hybrid that overcomes limits of others. First the carpet is vacuumed, removing dust, dander, etc., where with steam cleaning, all those ickies are driven into the carpet during steam injection. Then the Green Seal Certified cleaning solution is applied. Nearly all other methods use cheaper detergents or harsh chemicals - if they claim green, be sure and verify on the MDS. After soaking, a bristle pad on an 80 lb rotary floor machine works the cleaner to the base of the pile. Steam cleaning never agitates the carpet and categories 2,3,4 don't work the cleaning agent to the base of the carpet. Next, a cotton pad is attached to the floor machine and used to pick up all the soil. Categories 2,3,4 will leave chemicals behind because they can't reach the carpet base. Belmont uses minimal Green Seal Certified cleaner so there is less to remove and less worry over anything that remains. Finally, the carpet is groomed, carpet nap raised, to promote fast drying - about 4 hours in my case. My previous experience with steam cleaning took a day to dry to the point I could replace furniture. For more depth, read the blog article on the company website, linked above. When I choose service providers, those who prioritize health and environment are at the top of my list - Belmont is a nice addition.

I've been around the restoration business for a bunch of years, both as a customer and as a vendor…read more That means I've been exposed to good restoration companies, mediocre ones, and ones... that when you read about them, a cold chill will run up your spine. That means I'm comfortable telling you, I know a few things about the industry and their dirty little secrets... I did my due diligence on both James and Chafika (the owners) before I decided to even consider getting involved with them. FYI, I've turned into quite an ambassador for both them and the people that work in their company. 2 things really stood out for me. One - They take what they do very seriously (they work hard and excel at doing a great job). Two - They like to help people. *IMO, that's a perfect combination, especially in this industry. I've looked hard at their before and after pictures (on their site) to compare them against other jobs I've seen. The verdict? They walk their talk. I have one BIG REGRET... I wish I was in their service territory because I would feel very comfortable and safe having them take care of any issues I had. FYI - I've had basement floods, sewage issues, and mold problems so I've been "knee-deep" in it and I know what a mess it can be. BTW - not all my reviews on Yelp or elsewhere are as "glowing" as this one is. You can look me up if you'd like ;-) Full Exposure: I am an outside vendor of theirs and have worked with them for a while so when I recommend them I do it based on my experiences with them. At the end of the day, you need to trust the people you hire to do a good job (it can get really messy fast), and based on my experiences with them, I can't recommend them enough.
