We did a fair bit of research before jumping into this trip and Patrick, Zach, and the rest of the…read moreColorado Overalnder team definitely did not disappoint. I think the reason for this is the owners love this lifestyle and genuinely want their customers to have an epic experience. Details were thought through and we lacked for nothing along the trails. We (my wife and 2 of our kids ages 8 and 10) spent 4 days in the double tent Toyota Tundra exploring the Colorado/Utah back country and saw the world from a perspective we haven't before. (The pictures attached are from the Rimrocker trail connecting Moab, UT to Montrose, Co.) In Colorado, you can camp almost anywhere inside of a national forest (which is a vast canvas). With this vehicle your options are almost endless. Set up was under 10 minutes for both tents (Patrick gave us a great tutorial on how to use everything) and compared to sleeping on the ground this was a luxury experience. Grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend this as a very accessible way to camp directly in nature. Give it a go!

Not impressed at all with the customer service. We made a reservation back in the middle of May of…read morethis year. I needed to make some changes for our mid August trip on where the vehicle needed to be dropped off. Called the number and left a message. 24 hours later and there was still no response from the company. Left a second message somewhat pissed off and then chose to email them with my concern. An hour and 15 minutes later I have two of the owners hitting me up about my concerns. Too late. Already called Amex to stop all payments. Ended up going with a local competition because they actually picked up the phone, answered my questions and genuinely cared about the customer experience. I generally do my due diligence and came to the conclusion that they were more of a stand up company--my bad, my mistake. I'm sure Colorado Overlander has great equipment--it's Toyota's and ARB which is top notch equipment. But I can't review that part of it since it will never come to us using it. Make phone calls. Deal with the people that call you back and give you good customer service and care about customer service. That is part of what you are paying for.

I showed up for at the time my reservation was made for and there was no building by the U-hauls and no signs for where the office was. We drove around for over 10 min looking for it and couldn't find anything. No one was still picking up the phone when we got there. Such a waste of time.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I made a reservation for a 15' truck a week in advance. The guy at…read morethe dealer told me somebody would call to confirm my reservation. Nobody called so I went in to confirm my truck would be ready for me the next day and I was told that they no longer had the truck and they I had been transferred to a town and hour away in Gypsum. I called Gypsum and they said that there was no guarantee of a truck being there for me the next day. I told her I needed to have something confirmed since I had family driving three hours away to help me. She refused to call the current renter of the truck to see if he would be returning it. I then spent the next 4.5hrs on the phone with Uhaul scrambling to find something for my next day move. I was met with rudeness and resistance from all customer reps except one. No one would take responsibility for the mistake and nobody was willing to help. Moving is already stressful enough, you're better off paying more with another moving company. Stay away from Uhaul.
