Terrible customer service and sheer laziness with the guy who works at the front counter.

Only decent hardware and paint in Basalt! Anyplace else, requires a drive!! They gave paint chips and the custom mixed the color we wanted

It's been a long time since I was so insulted and diminished. I'm not sure if the gas system at the…read moreCoop is new, it seems really difficult to read the screen in the sunlight. Plus, I feel like things used to be different in terms of the process of charging gas on ones Coop account. This morning I went to fuel up and I thought I would go to the cashier to clarify the process, as they are often incredibly friendly. The cashier explained the difference between the cash price and membership price and how to pay with a credit card at the window. When I returned to the pump I wasn't entirely clear when the pump read, "insert card or see cashier". So, I returned to the cashier, letting her know I was confused. She proceeded to instruct me on how to put fuel in my car in the most insulting and condescending tone, "You take the pump and put it in the gas tank on your car, and select your fuel...". I told her she did not need to speak to me in such a condescending manner and her response was to mock me to my face. I was astonished and won't be returning anytime soon. Young lady, your lack of customer service is atrocious and I have been pumping gas longer than you have been alive, both the tutorial and your attitude were unfitting and unnecessary. For over a decade I have loved shopping at the Coop, but today you lost a customer.

Let me summarize: 1. Sign on the door stating you must wear a mask 2. Automatic door, so you don't have to touch it with your hands 3. Notice at the counter saying that they have filed a statement of their compliance methods with the local authorities 4. All employees and customers wearing masks and very courteous 5. Two pen holders at the counter, one for clean pens and one for used pens 6. Helpful staff 7. I needed three things and they had all three. One (ammonia) could not be found at the local supermarket or the hardware store. But the Coop had it. I intend to do all my household and hardware shoppig at the Roaring Fork Valley Coop from now on. They even have locally-produced meats and eggs.
