Let me start by saying that I am all about supporting local businesses, and it serves me nothing to have to write this, but having been treated the way I have and seeing the confirmation from other peoples reviews, I just had to put pen to paper. I got my eyes tested just before Christmas 2025, as I was struggling with my close and long vision. They suggested a variable bifocal for long to short distance which sounded great on the face of it, until I came to try them out. They were soo difficult to get used to, but I was told that I must persevere. I kept getting dizziness and headaches, and just ended up not waring them as often as I wanted. So I went back and Tanya had them adjusted twice over a period of about 6 weeks. I was starting to feel like a bit of a nuisance, but Tanya told me to give them a good few months. I'd even spoken to other customers in the clinic who were experiencing the same thing. So off I went and really tried to get used to them, but in the end it was just impossible. I was turning into a nodding bobblehead just to get the small window of focus for different distances. My peripheral vision in these lenses was entirely distorted and very blurred. So in the end I decided that I could not cope with such a multi faceted lenses, and that maybe I'd be better with just long distance lenses, as these seemed to cover approx. 10 feet to infinity. When I requested this to salvage something from this experience, I was told that I had to pay another $350. This was on top of the $1150 already spent. I told Tanya that I was not paying anymore money as I had never received the vision solution I went in for. She reached out to Dr. J who I am advised, refuse to make me good. I am absolutely disgusted by the way I have been treated for a couple of hundred bucks. So here I am nearly $1200 in and no useable glasses. If you use this business, be very aware that you do so at your own risk. Your getting overpriced frames with multi faceted lenses that are very had to get used to, if ever. This guy is not interested in his community. He will surely retort with some excuse, but remember please, I did not want to spend all this time and effort to get to where I am. Please read all the negative reviews and you'll see why they struggle to get a 3 !!! I will be making sure that as many people hear about this as possible, as I have many avenues and resources. read more

I am impressed with Dr. Jabley. I have been his patient for 6 years, through 3 moves out of Dahlonega. I make the drive for a thorough eye exam. I also like their glasses selection. I never have a long wait time either, which is nice. read more

They called to tell me that my contact lenses were in and I asked what time they closed. I was told 7 pm which is also what is listed for the normal business hours. At 6:15 I tried to pick up my order but they had decided to close early. read more

I have been a patient at Georgia Mountain eye clinic for many years yet was treated so poorly by the office manager that I am now unfortunately, no longer a patient. I was treated unprofessionally in regard to a question that I was asked by the office manager herself, and upon answering was continuously interrupted. I was spoken to in a degrading manner in front of other patients. I was mortified. I asked to speak to the doctor, and no one would get him for me, and when I saw him and approached him I was ignored. Meanwhile, the office manager continued yelling at me during which time I asked if I could pay and leave. She then yelled at me, "You are fired as a patient!" To that I say good riddance. read more

I called the Dr Office, because there was no Pupil Distance (PD) written on my prescription. I needed it because I asked if they sell shooting glasses, which I was told no. I said OK, I will order that online. But when I was ordering the shooting glasses, it asked for my PD. So I waited until Monday, and I called the eye Dr Office to get that, and was told they will not give that out. I have never heard that from a Eye Dr in GA. I tired to tell the girl that the reason I am asking for it was because I am ordering shooting glasses that you do not sell. She told me that by giving out the PD, it would undercut them. I am only ordering online because they do not sell shooting glasses. Since I never heard of that, I asked about cancelling everything. I was told that there will be a charge to cancel everything, even through there was nothing written about a cancelation fee. I told them to keep the orders, but I am done with them as I never heard of a eye Dr refusing to give out my PD. Just because it is legal in GA to withhold the PD, does not make it morally right. Just my two cents on this subject. Also, their sheet that was handed to me with my prescriptions on it, had a line for the PD, but it was blank. Other than this, they all seemed nice until I called and asked for the PD. I am saddened by this, as I thought that I had found a new Eye Doctor in Dahlonega. read more

Refused to give me copies of the lab sheets for my eyeware. This is a sheet that they required me to sign to pick up the eyeware I had purchased and paid for. Again,THEY REQUIRED MY SIGNATURE and THEN REFUSED TO GIVE ME AN UN-ALTERED COPY of a document they required me to sign. read more

Excellent service, staff very friendly and attentive. Dr Jabaley was top notch, best I have ever seen. We are a family of 5, we all use him.

I can't think of any business more difficult to deal with than Mountain Eye Clinic. My family all went and none of us cared for the office or experience. They just make it so hard. I'm going to say the young man that assists the doctor (Derek?) is pretty awesome. I ended up taking my Mom to America's Best in Dawsonville and it was a significantly better experience. If you are looking for a no hassle experience then keep looking. read more
