This salon is capable of catering solely to women with straight (Caucasian) hair. I went there with high hopes because of their great reviews, but I was sorely disappointed. My stylist seemed to hear everything I said when explaining that I'm mixed, I have very curly, textured, frizz prone hair, and even gave her tips on the best products to use and how to style it. I asked her if she was comfortable with curl type 3B and if she had experience cutting and styling mixed race hair and she confidently said YES. This was a blatant lie. She said she understood what i wanted, and then proceeded to do the exact opposite of everything I said. She didn't seem to know how to use the diffuser correctly and kept running her fingers through my hair as she was drying it, which every curly girl knows is the biggest mistake you can make, even after I told her several times not to because it separates the curls and creates frizz as it's drying. As my hair continued looking progressively worse, she began putting more and more product in it, all the while continuing to run her fingers through and separate my curls further. By the end of this absolute MESS of a haircut, I looked like I got a bad perm and then stuck my finger in an electrical socket.
