I tried Mountain Cakery's raspberry meringue cookies at Black Velvet Coffee and they were awesome! The cookies were light and sweet with raspberry, but not overly sweet. They were so yummy that I actually wanted to order a bunch of cookies when I got home. (I visited Black Velvet 3 times in the span of less than 48 hours to get more of the meringue cookies.) The customer service from Cora is wonderful as well. I had sent her an email through her website to inquire about mail orders. Unfortunately, at this time, she isn't able to do mail orders on her meringue cookies, but the next time someone I know travels to Mammoth Lakes, I'm sending Cora an email with an order of the meringue cookies for my friends to bring back for me! They are that delicious, I would actually order them and have someone bring them back to me. Oh, more about the customer service, after I had submitted the contact us form, I wasn't expecting a response back until the next day, but Cora responded within a couple of hours, and in our emails back and forth, she responded pretty much right away! I'd post a picture of the meringues, but I ate them all before I even thought of taking a photo. Honestly, I'd probably forget again if someone put the meringues in front of me right now. read more

Such great service!!! I ordered a cake for a friend, but I live all the way in Hawaii so picking it up and delivering it posed a problem. Michelle was so accommodating and quickly responded to my emails and call. Upon hearing that I was not going to be around to pick up the cake, she was even going to forego the delivery charges, which I declined. I heard that the cake tasted delicious - wish I could have gotten a piece flown over. They even brought over utensils and plates to go along with the cake. Michelle even sent me a email informing me that the cake had been delivered and had arrived on time. We ordered a small cake, lots of mini cupcakes, and lemon squares from Michelle. Cake tasting was so much fun! Michelle organized a tasting with about 10 different flavors of mini cupcakes. After trying so many amazing flavors we decided on blackberry vanilla for our small cake. Michelle recommended that we have mini cupcakes in the same flavor of the wedding cake so everyone can enjoy our wedding cake flavor. It was a fantastic recommendation and all our guests loved being able to try our cake flavor! We ended up having a wonderful array of flavors including; blackberry vanilla, vanilla, and chocolate salted caramel mini cupcakes! They were all so delicious. Mountain Cakery came highly recommended by our wedding planner who had used them multiple times in the past. We met Michelle at our tasting and she was absolutely wonderful. We opted to do a small cutting cake and then an assortment of mini cupcakes for 220 guests. The presentation at our reception was perfect!!! Everything tasted so amazing that there was nothing left by the end of the evening. Their prices were also incredibly reasonable. My groom & I couldn't be more pleased with our experience working with Cora & Lauren at Mountain Cakery! We ordered a wedding cake, groom's cake, and cupcakes for our wedding reception, all of which exceeded our expectations! When planning our order, Cora was very helpful, professional, and prompt in answering any questions I had. I have to say she was also very patient and accommodating to the numerous changes I kept making on our order. We wanted a groom's cake that looked like a rainbow trout, it turned out to look so neat (photo to be uploaded soon!). Our guests were amazed and the groom loved it too! Thank you Mountain Cakery for a fabulous dessert experience for our wedding at Benton Hot Springs! My family had a few food allergies to work around, but the gals at Mountain Cakery were extremely helpful & supportive in navigating these limitations. For our wedding, we decided to do a smaller wedding wedding cake and mini cupcakes in 3 flavors so our guests could enjoy a total of 4 outstanding flavors. Our flavor choices included almond, lemon rosemary, lemon raspberry and chocolate mocha. All of their flavor options are delicious! Michelle is amazing and her cakes are truly a work of art. Michelle did all the cupcakes and cake for our wedding in June Lake. She was super responsive and easy to reach, even in the middle of busy wedding season. My husband and I did not do the included tasting, but rather went to the wedding expo in Mammoth Lakes where we got to try all of her flavors (which made it really difficult to pick what we wanted since they were all so delicious). On the day of our wedding Michelle came to our venue, and set up the cake and cupcakes. She included rustic cake stands that tied into the theme of our wedding. She also worked with our florist to decorate the cake. Michelle is super easy to work with and I highly recommend her. I'm so happy we chose her for our wedding desserts! read more

We would like to thank Mountain Cakery for our beautiful wedding cake that they made for our wedding two weekends ago. We live in Palm Springs and were told about Mountain Cakery by our caterer, and we couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful referral. We met with Lauren during our pre-wedding trip to June Lake in May and she was very nice and brought lots of delicious samples for us to try. Although we loved all of them, we immediately knew after tasting the lemon & raspberry flavor that that was the one - light, fresh, and perfect for our summer wedding! The day of our wedding, Lauren and Cora came and set up our beautiful cake, and it was all that we had hoped for and more! The cake was not only beautiful, but delicious!
