I have worked with other physical therapists, and they helped, but never really eliminated my pain. And then I was introduced to Sean McComiskey by a musician friend. It turns out Sean is also a musician, and he understands those repetitive motion issues that haunt musicians. After meeting Sean, he described to me the physiology of muscles and tendons, to the extent a lay person such as me could understand. And he told me about my trigger points that stubbornly wouldn't go away. For my initial appointment, my right shoulder hurt a lot, and my left shoulder ached a bit. And I asked him to treat my right shoulder. A vigorous massaging of all those trigger points he found over several appointments, and weeks later, my right shoulder no longer hurt! Like magic! Whoa! So a couple months later, my left shoulder still ached. So I called him up, and a couple of appointments later, I feel great.
