I wanted to wait a few months before opening my mouth about what this place did to me and my son. My voucher transferred them when everything happened with KHA. Nobody notified me of anything, I had to find out from a post on Facebook. I have 2 3-inch binders of correspondence emails to and from different people in several departments, and paperwork that they lost, and I had to resubmit repeatedly. I had to report my landlord for sexual harassment, but they did nothing to help me get out of there. They knew that both kitchen sinks had not been working for months, and did nothing. They also knew my air conditioner was leaking gallons of water for months. My voucher was always getting threatened. I finally had to move with no assistance and go over there every few days to get my voucher transferred, and that day, a lady was filling in for the supervisor who was supposed to be helping me. She looked up my file and said they weren't going to give me a voucher and that I could reapply. Well, every reason she gave me, I had the paperwork to prove was incorrect. I HAD TO MAKE MYSELF SMALL. I HAD TO BEG, AND CRY. Even though I had all my documentation, I filled out a new application, turned in all my paperwork. I have a cognitive disability. They have huge posters saying they help people who are disabled. I asked for a special accommodation. I asked for assistance with getting a paper they needed from CashApp. My caseworker and the lady who works there answering the phones had to sneak around to help me, so the lady would not see. They were afraid of her. I was victimized by my landlord, and they further bullied me and victimized me because I am not very computer savvy, and she wouldn't let anyone help me. She said, "She can figure it out for herself." Then some other people came from the back because of all the commotion, and she was standing there telling the men who I was and talking about me in a very trashy way. OMG, I wanted to die at that moment. I told her, "You know I can hear you." "I can hear everything you are saying." She did not care, and nobody did. I was so humiliated. I am on disability, and it clearly states that they have assistance for people in my situation. Why do that? Because she thought I would not realize, or did she just not care? This is not over. That was a nightmare. I want them to know that I am a person who deserves to be treated as such. People should not take their abuse, but I know why they are because I had TO MAKE MYSELF SMALL for them to feel like they were important, and in a position of Power. It has taken me since January to feel safe enough to say anything to anyone.

This park appears to be catering to the children because they have a playground, then they have a creekbed that I see some children playing in, open fields that children can run around. I spotted some deer walking out in plain sight not bothered by the people. I ended up walking on the road where vehicles frequently passed me by. Not very safe, but I wanted to get some exercise in. It's in a cute part of Salado that looks old-timey. The park was within a residential area since there were houses inside the park grounds. It is maintained with cut grass and plenty of parking.
