Pulled into a parking spot up the street past their property and was told by the parking attendant in the lot down the street that my wife and I had to pay him $ 20 because its their property. Clearly its not, and when I questioned his tactics he yelled at me and said "I'm getting my Boss if you will not pay!" Next a bald man tried to intimate me into giving him money, I asked is that your property and he said no. But is against the law to park next to PA highway even if well off the road and I maybe towed. I asked about the other 4 cars parked there? And received no answer as he realized I wasn't falling for his scam. Don't know about his product but I suggest you to stay away.

Unfortunately, with the busy schedule and a new delivery driver, orders got mixed up. I admit, I was a bit annoyed and took it out on the evening staffer (sorry about that), but he called the owner and got it set right. Second-- Highland gave my friend the wrong item as an extra retirement gift. THAT is the reason for a five star rating. As always, I will stop in to Highland any and every time I'm in town. The prices were average and I was happy to see they had their beer broken down into some singles, with four pack, six pack and case pricing. That's always convenient. I noticed they had local hard pretzels, beef jerky and water. I grabbed a couple cases of the local water and pretzels to go along with several six packs of beer. I noticed some fellow yelper's mention the customer service was bad, the staff was nice to me and when I asked questions about the local products they happily explained. They spent $150 between the 3 of them. The woman sales associate was extremely rude! It started when they walked up to the small case with the Mississippi Mud Pies in it. They were informed that there was another flavor behind them and while trying to make their selection were told, "You can shut that door." Next, in front of the entire family, she instructed a man working (with a cowboy hat) there to make sure he carded them all! She was very rude and very curt during the entire sales transaction. My daughter was told, "Leave that card in reader and don't touch it! " My husband and other daughter were told the exact same thing, in the same nasty tone. Lastly, there was never even a thank you or come again! I'm sure you're aware of the number of beer distributors in the area and your's is actually out of the way for us. My first and last and ONLY visit to this establishment was in September of 2023. I was headed to a party and forgot to buy beer. I saw signs for this distributor and decided to stop in out of convenience. I ask the person behind the counter for a specific Canadian brand of beer and was pointed in the direction of the product I was looking to buy. While on my way to get the beer, I notice two employees come out of nowhere and start following me. I'm not paranoid.....plus.....every person on the planet knows when they're being followed. I stop, look back and the two employees look everywhere else EXCEPT at me. It was embarrassing for them because they looked like clowns. It reminded me of an episode of the Three Stooges, only there were two of them. "These guys can't be serious" is what traipsed through my mind. Unfortunately, they were. I turn back around and they keep following me watching to see if I steal anything. THERE'S NOTHING TO STEAL!!! ITS ALL CASES! I sigh, get the beer I asked for, pay for it in full then leave. I've never returned and never will. I now purchase my beer from the distributor on 443! They've YET to follow me. I wrote an update but it was just AS embarrassing, so I decide to delete it and start fresh (no....I couldn't edit, but thank you for mentioning it). I LOVE this place. I had a truly horrific experience with a different distributor in town and vowed to never return. Must have been serendipity because without that experience I would have never found this place. When you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a hello. Not sure about your shopping/dining experience these days, but mine is rife with attitude and indifference. This place breaks the monotony of rudeness to the point of being disarming. In fact, every single person I encountered has been extremely pleasant to deal with. A couple of months ago, I went in to fill my propane tank and they were having a minor issue. Instead of arguing about it with me or turning me away, they let me exchange my empty tank for a full one - no questions. Imagine that....a proprietor that thinks logically. Easy, peasy!!! Of course they have a wide selection....most distributors have wide selections.... this distributor comes with workers that brighten your day. This is my go-to spot for beer AND propane.
