Let me save you some time, money, and headache by advising you to stay away from this cemetery. My dad finally received his headstone after almost a year and a half after he died. Do you want to know what it took? Me going to the office three times. The last time I went I was so livid I went off on one of the deacons. First they gave the excuse of "oh well we order headstones in the order of the persons death". I informed them that all the others right next to him (about 5 other graves, 10 people), who have died after him had their headstone. THEN they tried giving me a bullshit excuse saying they do it based on "the number of characters a headstone has". They got rid of me that time but when I saw it still wasn't there after they promised it would be, my ass started counting characters and guess what? Most if not all had the same amount if not more than my dads. They promised me a new date. Of course it came and went without being installed. It should not have taken me going in there literally screaming at them for them to do something. We have had relatives buried in this cemetery that go back to the 1920s and every relative buried after they changed ownership has been shown the utmost disrespect. Problem after problem, excuse after excuse. Mount Olivet, you should be ashamed of how you treat the individuals in your cemetery. It's unacceptable! DO BETTER! read more
