Darius of Catjacks upgraded four telephone jacks fed by Cat 5 cable to ethernet jacks for hardwired…read morenetwork connections. His work was neat and orderly and was performed in a professional manner. Although I did not need it, he stated that he has the ability to run new ethernet cables without damaging walls and the need for a handyman or painter to patch/paint holes. His pricing seemed reasonable; however, I did not seek other quotes to make a comparison.

Excellent Communication, Installation and straightforward pricing from Darius at CatJacks!…read more I reached out to Darius to have 2 CAT6 drops and 1 Wireless Access Point Wired/Hung. Pricing was exactly as shown on the web-site. Scheduling was very simple using Calendly. On the day of installation, prior to our appointment, Darius texted me to ensure I was still available. I then received another 'location' text when he was on his way. Darius walked through the house and we discussed where I wanted each drop - for example, in the bedroom I wanted the drop to be just above my drawers, so that I could mount a TV there and easily plug in to CAT-6 rather than going over WiFi. Darius is very detail oriented and even went to the trouble of (measuring) to mount my AP to line up with the 2 lights that are in my hallway and entryway! After the walk-through, he marked each of the drops with painter's tape, then once again confirmed with me the locations. Darius vacumed/cleaned up after himself as he worked and did a very professional job - leaving the house in the same state as when he arrived, willing to explain anything he was doing. On completion, I tested the drops/AP - everything was good and we settled up! I'm very pleased with the work Darius did; as well as being very Professional, he is also a very personable chap who really knows his stuff. (to put in context, I'm an IT Infrastructure/Software Project Manager). In summary, I would definitely recommend Darius to anyone that needs either AP's to be hung or Network Drops!

I contacted this handyman contracting service through the Yelp Project feature, and even though we…read moreultimately chose another provider for the work in our home, they handled their part of the process exactly the way you hope a professional service will. They arrived right on time for the estimate, just as communicated, and their messages before and after the visit were prompt, clear, and easy to work with. The estimate itself was straightforward with no pressure attached, which made the whole interaction feel calm and respectful, and that goes a long way when you are trying to make decisions about home projects that always seem to multiply. We did not select them for this particular job, but based on their reliability and communication alone, they will absolutely stay on our list for future work because those qualities matter just as much as the final result and they demonstrated both without any fuss.
