After some small talk with the man behind the couch there he said we were the only ones there and could play as much as we wanted. Most worst ball quality. They are still using balls from many years. Some are hard as ROCK!!! My new irons got ruined by hitting these golf ball (rock) if you have new club, avoid this place. That's my tip. Please not only focus on making money, invest and update. Don't expect people to come in hit bad quality golf balls. And charging same money as other driving range with new balls. read more

Older, randomly annoyingly difficult mini golf course - at least it's clean. As a lover of all things putt putt, I'll try any mini golf course, even if externally it looks subpar. A Groupon made itself apparent for Mount Freedom, purchased, forgot about it, then months later found it and rode in my chariot to putt around the greens. Upon arrival, I realized "Oh, this is that somewhat crappy place I've driven past while going to pick apples and pumpkins every fall." But we were here, it was empty on a nice Saturday afternoon, so in we went. We got our worn-out mini golf balls with the quickness, found one very long putter for me and got to work. The greens themselves were small, clean, but felt a bit old. After playing for a bit, figured out the issue. You know when you're playing on a crappy pool table, have a shot perfectly straight, know there's no way the ball can't go in, yet somehow the ball ends up missing by 6 inches? This happened here on a dozen occasions. There's no good reason why it happens, but does - the green is worn out in areas, randomly bumpy in others, and putting becomes an exercise in frustration. I added some photos of the course itself to get your own opinion - it's a bit tacky, but I've seen worse. The blue water though was a bit sickly. Net net, it's a somewhat crappy mini golf course, which if you take your kids to they could easily end up very frustrated. It's clean, not that busy with a safe clientele, but it's nothing special at all. The ice cream store/restaurant next door could be very nice, but we didn't check that out. read more

Mt Freedom Golf is a nice local place that you can practice your swing. I've never gone to their mini golf so what ill review are just the driving range and the 3 par. The driving range is pretty nice, I actually really like there range set up and what you tee off of (the grass part moves when you hit it). The prices for balls are a little higher than some other courses, but you would probably make up the difference in gas driving to a further range. The staff is pretty nice and always greet you so. The 3 par is a small course, that worth going to, not really crowded when I have gone. It's a prefect place to practice your short game without feeling like an ass if you're having a particularly sucky day. The course could be in better condition, the greens are a little funny. But it worth the price to play. If you looking to go out to the range or maybe play some 3 par, check this place out. read more

Recently checked out their par 3 through groupon. The staff was friendly and helpful. I feel that the price reflects what should be expected of the course. The attire is totally casual, no push carts necessary, and you tee off on mats. They have tees placed on the mats like those you'd find for the driving range but they're either too high and/or in bad shape. So that's something to keep in mind if you don't like to hit directly off the mat. Luckily, I had different sizes with me that I used throughout. The holes, ranging from 55-100 yards, are close enough together that you can see all of them from the first hole. If you find yourself there with other groups, expect a slower pace just because you'll probably encounter a lot of beginners and folks either learning to play or practicing. The place cleared out during our back 9 so it was awesome; it felt like backyard golfing. I probably won't be coming back when our groupons are used up just because it's a drive from where I'm located but it's worth checking out if you're in town and/or looking to practice your short game. read more

Yay! I'm taking lessons with a few of my coworkers currently. Our teacher is Roger and he's awesome and really knowledgable. Regarding the facilities themselves: everything is a bit old, but the driving range is decent and the par 3 course is small but it's still fun. Plus, it's close by and affordable so I can't really complain. Plus, the staff are really great. read more

This review is for the driving range and the miniature golf course. The range is ok from the mats, not so good from the grass, mainly because it's weed infested and a bit uneven. So if you really are serious about working on your iron play from the fairway you'll have to be satisfied with the mats which, as most golfers know, is not as good. The mini-golf has been there 75 years and is rather compact with not too many creative holes. The obstacles are kind of repetitive as are several holes. It's suitable for little children in the 3-8 year old range...not really interesting enough for high school kids on a date. On some of the holes the surface is threadbare and needs to be replaced. The water holes with fountains & falls are turned off when it's breezy. read more

I finally discovered this place even though it was down the street from my aunt's house. I've been coming to her house for as long as I remember. It's a no-frill Par 3 9-holes and driving range. There's a mini-golf which I didn't check out. They recently have a new owner and you can see the difference. I read the Yelp reviews prior to going and I was expecting a dilapidated place. On the contrary, the driving ranges have new mats and the staff is very friendly. I tried their Par 3 course. It's a no frill course which looks like it has finally received TLC (compared to when my cousin went there last few years). The only gripe is that there's random poop on the course especially when you are trying to find the ball near the bushes. I don't want to be stepping on it! Other than that, it's a nice affordable local place to go. read more

Nice mini golf course. The overall course is small, but is laid out well so everything fits. The course itself is old, but well kept. I only made it to the 5th hole because my son picked up a cover on one of the holes that 'said 'do not remove' and dropped his ball in. Yea I guess I could have went and told them he did this, but I was pretty made at him. I did not realize what he was saying when he said 'do not remove' until he told me his ball was gone. (Little trouble maker). There is also a nice looking driving range located here Plus a small golf course. I will be going back to play mini golf again with my son and to the driving range without him. read more

We go to this miniature golf course, but it needs some updating. Some of the greens are torn up, really how do you play mini golf when the greens are torn up???? The waterfall is dirty, looks like bacteria is growing in it and currently not running. The gate when you pull in looks like someone ran into in. Owners, put some money into this place!!! read more

This was my first time here and my girlfriend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. Based on the reviews I didn't think much coming in, but went with an open mind. I have never played a hole of golf and this was a perfect introduction! Even people who have played can get their short game better using this course. The greens were in excellent shape with very minimal wear to be seen. Other than one hole that was slightly wet (in a shady spot) everything else was straight forward and entertaining. I gave this 5 stars because it simply needs to be rated appropriately and I do not think 3 shows its worth. We will definitely return and use the driving range which is clean and just what you need to get better. There is even a area to use grass to drive which is not at either driving range I use by my house. Can't wait to go back! read more

Hopefully you're reading the reviews before you head out to play mini golf. The course has the feel of golfing at an abandoned flea market. It's about 10 years overdue for maintenance. The water features are dry, with the exception of the stagnant water festering in the old "ponds" and the holes in the turf are the most challenging parts of the run down obstacles. It's a sad place for a game that's supposed to be fun. Hopefully someone decides to either invest some money in this course, or close it officially. read more

I brought my family and we had fun (granted we were adults playing mini-golf). This place could be better: waterfall wasn't on, leaves on the courses and inside the tunnels under the statues, the statues can use some repairing/new paint and there was ripped carpeting on a few of the holes. Also, there were some really tall weeds and ragweed flying around whenever there was a slight breeze. This would be better if the facilities were better cared for. We still had fun. read more

This Golf center is an amazing hole in the wall place. I have been coming to Mt. Freedom driving range for 5 years now. The prices are beyond fair, there is a grass area in the driving range, and the owner Matt is super nice and attentive. Best Par 3 and Driving Range around blows away the other driving range down the street which the furthest ball marker is 185ish on Rt. 10 in Randolph. The Par 3 course is great very well maintained like the rest of the facility, the greens are well kept and the "fairway" and around the green are as they should be. Def worth the money if you got the time to play a quick 9 holes of fun :) Blows away the other par 3 course within 20 mins called Riehl which doesn't maintain anything at all and doesn't even have it's greens maintained they look like the rest of the course overrun. HIGHLY SUGGEST this place whether you want to do some putt putt, the driving range, or the par 3 course than enjoy some great food and ice cream at their restaurant in the building right next door :) great service, great place. love it! will def be back again next week and the week after that and so on. read more

I purchased a Groupon for the mini-golf which unfortunately I let expire six months ago. However, the owner let me use the Groupon for myself and my two kids. So nice! The mini-golf course is somewhat small, but clean. It's worn, some of the areas are patched over and the waterfall area is pretty gross, but my kids had a blast. Isn't that the most important thing? I'm not sure that I'd ever pay full price to return, but with a coupon and a couple of begging kids, I'd probably return again. read more

An older but solid course. It's perfect for the youngsters as the holes are fun but not impossible to sink a decent par. As previously mentioned the course is compact but well laid out so you never notice. Bonus: the unnatural blue color of the waterfall! read more

I have gone to this facility a few times and used the driving range. I think that $12 for a large bucket of balls is a little much, but I found a Groupon to cut that in half, so it wasn't too bad. I have yet to use the par 3 course, or the mini golf so I can only rate the driving range for now. It was adequate but nothing exceptional. I would have liked to see more "targets", such as a facility that I visited last year that had an old car that you could try to hit. It just makes it a little more exciting. read more

Took the kids to mini golf. The place is a disaster. Holes in the turf. Badly placed holes (hills/bumps on the course). The paint job on the animals is so worn out it looks like the sort of thing that would inspire horror movies. There's no way we'll return here. read more

The owner here is a maniac... the 18 holes is a scam.. it's really only 9, he'll tell you to just go around twice. This course is also horrible - the grass is not taken care of, the staff are unhelpful and when asked for a partial refund he'll tell you to screw off. Horrible, do not waste ANY money! read more

I've been going here for about 6 now. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. I do absolutely recommend checking this place out. You feel very welcome. There are a few things I would like to add... About 4 years ago the place was constantly being upgraded and worked on and was kept in immaculate shape. There was always a guy outside sweating his butt off to make the place look nice. That is a good thing, but for the past 4 years or so it seems like they just care about picking the balls off the driving range and the mini golf has gone down hill. Ever since the pizza place moved in, there is always garbage everywhere. I'm not sure that reflects on the golf place, it's just an observation. The golf place used to be freshly painted at all times and the garden areas were always in great shape with fresh flowers and mulch and the garbage was kept up with. Like I keep repeating I'm not sure what changed but the past 4 years it's not up to par. No pun intended. Hopefully the owner will see this and get someone back there to make it a great as it once was. read more
