Not sure why I didn't go back to see him sooner as I just had the best 2 lessons since as long as I can remember. Reserved an hour with Mike Mrugal, one of two golf pro instructors at this driving range. On the day of the lesson, I was running behind schedule and Mike was very accommodating to adjust his schedule, so I could get the full 60 minutes of instruction time. He was knowledgeable, patient, and attentive to my feedback. Provided some very simple and actionable tips that I could do on and off the golf course. It helped reinforce the good movements of my swing and build muscle memory. I definitely plan on going back to Mike after the season is over for some more tips to work on during the winter at the driving range. As for the location, it's a two-level driving range with different size of range ball buckets you can purchase (inside) for the ball machine (outside) reads the QR code on the receipt. The shop has the basics, in the event you forgot to bring something with you to the range. The lessons are taught in an enclosed shack that has a hitting mat and tv monitor for the instructor to provide instant feedback on your swing...nothing high-tech, but it is sufficient to visualize & communicate what you are doing right or wrong. I normally go to a certain range not too far from this location but the Toptracer digital flight tracking machines had peaked my interest. While my main focus is on ball striking, I wanted to go the extra mile and utilize Toptracer to get an idea of distance gaping my woods/irons. THE EXPERIENCE Things may have changed from some previous reviews but the golf mats were perfectly fine. There weren't any glaring wear issues and I've definitely seen worse. The golf balls were fine and still had dimples left so no complaints on that end as well. The real interest and determining factor of my experience was TopTracer Technology. With the help of the digital flight tracking machines that were installed in every stall, I was able to get some raw data that helped me distance gap my clubs. Keep in mind that all the data is relative to the conditions (especially cold conditions) but I was able to get the answers I was looking for. Toptracer is able to tell you carry, total distance, launch angle, and other useful information to help optimize your clubs. I personally used the data to see how I hit my multiple drivers and find which one I hit best. It was mission accomplished. Of note, there is a small practice green with some chipping mats surrounding it. There are maybe two holes that you can use for putting and the rest are mostly for chipping targets. OTHER INFO -In addition to golf, they have pickleball courts/mini golf/paintball/turfed field and other offerings to keep you interested -The cost was marginally higher compared to your typical range but in my opinion worth it. The small bucket cost 12 dollars here compared to 10 dollars to a normal one without the digital flight tracking. FINAL THOUGHTS While Anchor Golf is a little farther from the driving range I used to use, it's well worth it for the experience to see your raw data. I would recommend giving this place a try!

Began membership for our family under old ownership a few years ago…read more Things have gone way down in the pool area, and restaurant since then. T he pool is in terrible need of resurfacing. Constant foot cuts and bleeding are the norm. The inner basketball court area is in terrible need of a coat of paint. The vast amounts of green space surrounding the pool use to be great for the kids to throw a ball or play games. It's no longer allowed. No in depth pool rules are posted on the website or at the pool facility. And yet lifeguards constantly blow their whistles for the most minor things. Without rules, who knows why or what you can or cannot do. Further the swim managers encourage constant whistles being blown by lifeguards and it makes the entire swim area very, very tense. The restaurant, which has been closed for renovation for many, many months reopened only to offer very standard and uninspired items. And very, very little for non-meat options. This will be our last season with this club, unless management makes the necessary changes, as there are countless great clubs and pools in our area.

She was aggressive in her responses when I asked questions about setup to the point I had to walk away. In addition, her staff rushed us through my booked time at the venue because they had an event after ours. It is unfortunate that the excitement of the day was dampened with such negativity. The fitting went great, the clubs came on time but they were right handed clubs and I am a left…read morehanded golfer. The receipt clearly stated left handed. They offered me no credits and was able to return the clubs and give a refund. In the process of getting a refund, instead of refunding me they charged my credit card AGAIN. The person I was working with was initially unresponsive when I told him of his mistake and they have been very slow moving to help resolve. I bought the clubs from the the golf warehouse based off my custom fit specifications and they told me the manufacturer (Taylor Made) could not make my exact fit left handed so I had to make a minor change to the fit. I will never be going back to Golf Tec and do not recommend using them because of their horrible customer service and lack of transparency with the golf club manufacturers they work with.

Within one lesson he had my swing plane and ball striking much improved. Went from hitting an 8 iron 130-135 to 150, and taking the big hook/draw off my ball. A recurring injury has slowed me down quite a bit in recent months, but looking to head back when i'm ready, hopefully i start off where i left off. Only issue would be that if you go out for a course lesson it counts more towards your lessons.....1 course lesson counts as more days than an indoor lesson, they didn't mention that to me up front (still worth doing though).

The location is always clean and all of the equipment is always in working order. I'd like to start this off with this: i'm a top 10 customer at this range, visiting 2-3 times a…read moreday, every day, all summer long. I've been coming to this range every night between 9-10pm for the last month with no issue for my night practice. (They usually turn the lights off between 9:55-10:00 so I always make sure I'm done by then). Today, I showed up at 9:25 to hit a few balls before closing. The older gentleman informed me that tonight (8/10/24), which just so happens to be a Saturday night, the driving range closed at 9pm, and ball machines were off already. He was really rude about it acting like they do this every night when that is not the case. Thankfully a kind gentleman overheard the conversation and was wrapping up and donated me the rest of his balls so I was still able to hit. I also saw the man turn down multiple other customers coming in. However, the older gentleman still proceeded to hover over me the entire time, walking up and down the aisle and stalking my every move as well as the other 2 people there. This was definitely a very uncomfortable experience. I will no longer be attending this driving range at night, and I suggest you avoid it too.

This is possible because Gabe has the teaching and playing experience to coach you in all aspects of your game, whether it's course management or building confidence around your shots. Gabe has elevated my awareness of my own swing and helped me stay committed to making long term swing changes. Like many golfers starting out, I still struggle with the basics like consistent contact, club face control, and release. No instructor can transform your swing overnight, but TRUST he will give you the right things to work on and many ways to work on them. As a result, I am making solid contact with the ball more frequently, have 15+ yards in distance per club, and am hitting straighter shots. Most importantly, Gabe will teach you how to be your own coach. Working with Gabe over time has given me the tools to diagnose and straighten out issues in my own swing even on a day when "I just can't seem to hit the ball." It has also taught me to consume the myriad golf content I encounter online with a critical eye. I know what I need to work on thanks to Gabe, and any of the bad rounds I shoot now and going forward would not be for a lack of excellent instruction. If this is helpful context, I picked up golf in 2020, have mediocre natural hand-eye coordination, and am not a particularly quick learner.
